I have this keyboard. The only real con I have is that there is a raised part on the case for the tablet to click into place but which then gets in the way when you want to use the space bar, especially if your hands are flat. You can adjust your hands so that you hit the space by on either side of the raised part but it doesn't feel natural.
Will it fit if you clip the tablet in backwards? Like if I want to use the tablet normally just with the keyboard attache to the back so I don't have to set it aside.
If you were to be typing with this keyboard KEEP IN MIND that you would be accidently clicking on the back button next to the ctrl button on keyboard. GOOD LUCK. theres another bluetooth keyboard that has a cover and keybaord is pretty reliable
Love the tablet , only ever managed to get the keyboard working for a couple of minutes ( fully charged ) "No nearby Bluetooth devices were found" is generally what I get
I'm a Lil skeptical about buying another keyboard. I had a Logitech keyboard case for my old Galaxy Tab 10.1 and everything worked great until the tablet updated from Honeycomb to Ice Cream Sandwich. Then it only had like 90% functionality after that.
@HtWhllFan64 If you have a bluetooth enabled mouse you should be able to sync it. But i haven't seen any that with via cable (I haven't looked either) I have seen a number of devices synced via bluetooth, including Ps3 and 4 controllers (though I believe those tablets were rooted)
Hi. Thanks for your review. Got a question. With the nexus7 2013 leather keyboard sleeve, it has Fn key for symbols like [ ] { } ~ ` and also PageUp PageDown Home End. Does this keyboard case have these keys too?
Howell Tam This keyboard has: [ ] { } Unfortunately it doesn't have: ~ ` Page Up Page Down Home End. As for the Esc key, again no. However, on Android devices the back button functions like an Esc key, and this keyboard does have a back button.
+Babbling Boolean I have this keyboard and the really frustrating thing is I have no idea how to use - or + I've tried all combinations of Shift, Alt, Fn and Ctrl, but I just can't get a - which makes using this for ssh etc really hard - any ideas?
they make some for the first gen (www.ebay.com/itm/like/331085870354?lpid=82) I doubt the 1st get would fit the case side, but sense it is a blue tooth keyboard it should function as a keyboard if nothing else... maybe a stand but since the 1st gen is heavier and thicker maybe not.
great video, I still have a doubt. I'm a college student and I'm looking for tablet mainly to read and type but y feel like this keybord is really small and not that great for typing something long. I was wondering if you have any suggestion. I also wonder if you still check the comments xD
Yes, I check comments everyday. As for the keyboard size it's all a matter of preference. I did find this keyboard rather small at first, but got used to it. In fact while on vacation I used it to type of Facebook, etc. The real question is, would you use a 7" screen tablet for college work? Do you think it would put a strain on your eyes?
Yeah, that might not be the best of ideas jaja I also checked the asus transformer book t100 because of the price and what it comes with but people were reporting keyboard malfuction and stuff. I used to had a laptop, but I sold it and bought a desktop thinking "I don't really need this" but now I feel like I do. I will probably use it to take notes, write short things (probably not more than 4 pages), reading, leisure time and all those other thing you use a mobile device for. I don't know if you have any suggestions? Other tablet, a bigger one Idk. P.D thank you for the response
Camilo Torres For reading and stuff I use the Nexus 10, I find that 10" screens are pretty decent in size for reading. Not sure which one to recommend since I haven't got my hands on a a recently released 10" tablet.
It's being ported over by a developer and is currently in Beta testing mode. You can get it from here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2350184
Huh? You want a case for the Nexus 7 and the keyboard itself? There's already a two in one case like that and I've reviewed it. The link is in the video description, the "leather case".
The review doesn't mention what is like to type on product. Here is what it like to type with the product-It sucvsks ypu cna y ty[e anythng right/ There is a p[eive of p;lasyic in tyhe way pk the keybpatd/
Not as easy as it sounds. The shape fits so adding stuff will change that, it should have been considered when shaping it. You can try a DIY job of grinding and gluing but not remotely as easy as just adding padding.
I don't own any Windows tablets so I can't say for sure but if they have Bluetooth then I don't see why not. As demoed in the video it worked with the Nexus 10.

Thank you for the review. It helped me in deciding what I wanted to get for a keyboard and this one looks perfect.
I can't wait to buy this tablet, I've been saving up since 2013.
You are a thoughtful reviewer, thanks for making this video, was very helpful :)

Can a mouse be used as well?
Thanks for the useful review. Do you think as well the 'Q' button is ugly? Im about to buy this keyboard but I'm afraid the button will disturb me =))
Will it fit if you clip the tablet in backwards? Like if I want to use the tablet normally just with the keyboard attache to the back so I don't have to set it aside.
Unfortunately no, the keyboard only clips the screen side of the tablet.

it would be super cool if it snapped in with the screen out so you could use the even when you dont want to use the keyboard
Can you give some insight as to why mine might not be working?
After watching this I'm gonna order one on Amazon

Hello! Does the tablet snap into the keyboard facing up?
No, only facing down (screen into the keyboard).
I won't buy one. Do you know where I found this ??? Thanks.
nice review
What game were you using

Does this keyboard fit the hisense sero pro 7? Thx
Unfortunately no the Sero 7 Pro was too wide.
Is it a reliable tablet..im thinking on buying the sero 7 pro
Scott Gebel
Considering its price I would say it is, my review is here: ruclips.net/video/zOIF6Q3BIek/видео.html
With your review being such a long time ago I was just checking to see if you found any bugs since then....thx again

Ok ok, I will keep looking then, see if I find what I'm looking for. Thank you for the feedback.
Babbling Boolean Can you play games using the keyboard?
What live wallpaper app is the that
"Ocean HD"
that page got removed
PLEASE, tell me FUNCTION of Fn+3 Fn+4 Fn+5
does it work with 1st gen?
The Bluetooth connects but it won't physically fit and snap in the case, it's designed only for the 2013 Nexus 7.
ok thanks
How did you get trackmania ?
It's being ported over by a developer and is currently in Beta testing mode. You can get it from here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2350184
Babbling Boolean Thank you :)
***** So do i ?
can i get a case for them both?
Huh? You want a case for the Nexus 7 and the keyboard itself? There's already a two in one case like that and I've reviewed it. The link is in the video description, the "leather case".
I have ordered this keyboard for my nexus 7. I wish it had a button for multifunction (the switching between the apps button)

You can add the padding yourself... :-/

Nice vídeo. Go back to pc gaming. Steam and indies are reinventing it.
can it by any chance be paired with windows tablets, surface?
I don't own any Windows tablets so I can't say for sure but if they have Bluetooth then I don't see why not. As demoed in the video it worked with the Nexus 10.
can it be used for the old nexus 7 tablet?
The Bluetooth connection for typing, yes. However, it physically won't fit in the keyboard.
Babbling Boolean thanks for the reply! :) almost got it but now on the search again
