Looking good. Spanish lavender is a great choice. Pollinator friendly and low water. A thought; leveling the beds like you did the logs? You may want to consider shade sails. Amazon you can order the size, color and percentage of protection you desire till trees etc grow out. Keep in mind that whatever size you need order a foot shorter to pull it taught and doesn’t bulge in the middle. Keep one side at a slight angle lower to facilitate rain sheeting off. Happy Easter to your beautiful family 🙏🐇🥕🐣

Looking good!! Welcome to the hot and humid south. Looking forward to see what Roses you guys are planting in your new home. I’m in the NOLA area, zone 9A and grow DA roses exclusively and would love to hear about your experiences in the south.

We can’t wait for a whole season to pass us so we can review and talk about the experience. I hope they have done well in your area.

You could of gotten away with planting two on each bed, Spanish lavender grows pretty big quickly, I do recommend cutting it back each year because it tends to get woody fast. Bees go crazy for it tho

Thanks for the tip. I thought about just two. We’ll have to see the turnout and the goal is to keep them maintained. 💚💚💚💚💚💚
