Good to hear a reviewer keeping an open mind. For your info 5711 gained hacking in the last couple of years of production. Water resistance is guaranteed for swimming and pieces are tested by Patek to 60m or 120m depending whether they have pushers in the case side or not. The piece on the wrist wears nicely, interestingly I think the Platinum piece on strap wears slightly smaller than the bracelet pieces despite being thicker. Took delivery of my 5822P on Monday and am very happy.

Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.

Other than size I don't think this is bad product range.
I think all are overpriced, but that is a different problem.
I thing that don't understand is what this range brings to the brand.
I still think a steel watch priced say $20 to $25k that was stylisticly different. I don't see why a properly fresh idea need translate into massive development costs if it's already established that patek movements can be rebodied

I agree. Really don’t see why this is more than the range you mentioned.

For Patek et al. the watch isn't the product, the buyer is. Will you be getting hands on with an ALS Datograph anytime soon?

    Nautilus has not been shelved.
PP is doubling down on the “sports watch” craze, not running from it. Thierry is toying with everyone.

Looks like the Santos de Cartier.

Just a Santos homage. Curious to see if ppl b and m about the size… 45x45 on square is just a huge pizza box. Remember the large cartier santos is 39.8x47.5 (curved!) and has 100m wr and you just can’t hear the end of it… calling it too large for a square watch.

Totally agree on it being a “rebodied” nautilus. Lazy design

It exists because nobody had the guts to tell the trust fund baby CEO of Patek who designed the watch, that his designed sucked. It looks like something a high school student with no design experience would whip up in photoshop for a weekend assignment.

It’s like divorce fallout , sounds to me, while the ashes settle , people will want Cubitus bad.

Sorry, Cubitus is far too large, and the chronograph version dial unbalanced for such an ambitious new introduction. The plain dial version would be better received. While I appreciate Mr. Stern's plans for Patek to appeal to a younger buyer, his public comments regarding buyers lacking money is not warranted and speaks of a snobbish, arrogant attitude that is not appealing at all.

Yeah I’ve been seeing reports of that, but I haven’t been able to verify if it’s exactly true or a translation error. I read a version of what he said in German, which was not so scathing.

I don’t see why they should fired nautilus instead of this horse shit seriously, and nautilus will only Win2 for Patek along with other lines of patek there’s only advantages. but this cubitus is full of shit and that’s will beginning downfall of No 1 Watch Makings.
