Well that was a job and a half lol if it wasn’t the rain it was the tight area ya had to work in but as always u and the guys are the best and don’t let little things like that stop ya lmbo ya got a great bunch of guy for a crew and it came out great as always nice job guys looks great have a good one and I’ll be waiting for the next job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
After doing this for a while you know about how much everything costs. I usually charge a square footage price or I do 3 to 4x my material cost for a fast estimate to be safe
Guys.... love the videos... please put p-traps on your trench drains.... Exit the bottom of the lowest part of the drain vertical down into trap... then horizontal to whatever system you want.... this will prevent the cold air if it goes to daylight, and keeps humidity from perimeter drains from entering dwelling... kkplumbing Wisconsin..
Nice looking job Ron. You guys do great work. I wondered if you might save some money with a small line pump truck rig. I just poured my whole house and garage (Fox Blocks) about a month ago and did it with a line pump truck. Cost me 600 bucks vs. at least triple for a boom pump truck. I doubled up on the H-V Clips on every row. I figured it was cheap insurance pouring 9' walls. I made my own bracing system with 2x4 strongbacks against the walls and turnbuckles and tapcons into the floor. I Didn't have a single issue with blowouts or movement of the blocks.
A idea, in your situation I would strip the topsoil, put some rock down and load right into the truck, no need to move dirt twice, also that construction entrance will help the whole job, and easily cleaned up, great job guys
@bondobuilt386 I know that's why I start almost every job by making a construction entrance, dig out the topsoil, and put 2 inch rock. It pays for itself , or you can chargecoustemer a small fee, as it will keep the job moving... just how I do it and 25 years zero complaints
Loving the content mate. To really level up, I would suggest upgrading the quality from 480p to 1080 or even better 4k. Doesn't need to be imax quality haha but I bet it would make a big difference in view count. I still watch the vids regardless. Just suggesting it would be a good investment. Keep up the good work. From Australia.
Why is there not any waterproofing membrane, or tar on the outside of the wall below grade? how did that pass local codes? What is going to keep the concrete (hydroscopic) from always being wet? That is going to be a mold factory inside the structure. Still, turned out pretty nice though!
Hi, would it be beneficial to put ply wood down over the grass to keep from tearing up the yard? Just curious. Thank you for the great content. I would guess the concret truck would blow right through it.
Hey Bondo. Be quicker if you put the bed up and you scooped out of it with your machine and then use the coal shoot at the end, when there’s not much left. I love the videos keep it up.
Sitting here watching you get mud delivered and I see my hometown phone number an I'm like no shit were from the same city. Good for you buddy. What area do you usually service? I own my own business servicing syracuse and surround areas as well man. Lobe seeing local people prosper!! Keep it up man!!
id like to do a similar pour of slab on grade slab before the ICF walls are poured; difference I am considering is: pouring footings, setting 1-1/2 row of ICF, backfilling both sides with clear stone, and pouring slab on grade floor with infloor heat; do you think the walls if backfilled carefully on each side will be rigid enough to stay straight. House will not have a crawlspace or basement and only needs 30" of frost embedment. Would like to do it this way to avoid the cold joint between inside ICF and floor to allow for concrete floors
What spacing do you use for vertical rebar? how much overlap on corners? are footing dovels every 2' ?? Thanks for all of your videos..., getting ready for my nudura project...(82$ straight and 41$ corner)
We cut a man door in but we had already poured our floor to match his existing floor. That was easy to measure down from the deck then set the laser up to that height
Bondo can you have a subgrade that is slightly sloped to remove water while stone base is made level? As a DiYer I might need more setup time and don't want water problems? Thanks for your expertise always!
Those foam walls have really come a long way, when they first came out, I was not impressed, but these you are using look very solid. Have you witnessed the 3D printed concrete walls yet? They have a ways to go, just like these did in the beginning, not sure how they will overcome the vertical weight problem, but I’m sure someone will figure something out. You need to talk the concrete company into getting a front with a conveyor mounted on it, then you won’t need the Brentwoods nearly as much, have never seen any in service in CNY. That way the driver is 75% of the crew for you if he’s good. 👍😉😁
I always wanted to try those block systems. It sure helps when your men work for you instead of standing around. Why Fox Block? Any other brands you like? You keep them moving- profit! Nice so far.
Suggest building your self a chute like off a Crete truck and hook it to the coal door on your truck gives you more range and control, and being able to get the rock in place faster than with a wheel barrow like on this one. More than one chuet for range of operatin. They use to have them on coal trucks years ago. To get the coal maybe to a hard place behind a house or no real drive way to coal storage place at homes etc.
Bondo, Are those 2x8 sill plates? Also, your rim is going to be pretty much on top of the foam has this ever ben an issue with an engineer or inspector?
It also saves a big mess on the driveway and street, just saying, our inspectors here are very strict, southern California.. one drop of mud on the street we have to clean a city block! Crazy
Hey bondo have you seen those aluminum conveyors? They come in different lengths kind of spendy but they would be pretty handy on jobs like this I think.
Next time when you put rock in the bed, park the back tires on wooden blocks to get the chute up higher. Seen it done by another concrete company do it that way
Are they Genesee beer cans? Australian here who has inlaws in Upstate New York and they look familiar! Love watching the crew and the works you guys do.
I'm really surprised that permitting allows you to do those tiny little windows. If someone gets trapped in the basement there's no way they're going to be able to get out of those windows nor can a fireman get in.
Instead of using all that rebar I’d like to see a video using metal fiber such as Helix Micro Rebar. Of course this doesn’t totally replace rebar but it will for all the flat work.
Nice one! but could you please give me information about these materials cost per unit and the manufacturing company address? and what is "Nudura block" and "fox block"?
More holes.. i mean, cmonn!!! I always drilled the crocks with more holes.. But if it works, it works!!! Put the lid on the crock while you trowl... you guy know that. Other wise the lid wont go on!!!
So I see you are showing us how to build an extension of a HOUSE. With fox blocks. But how do you build a HOSE with fox block? Or it us it just house? Your title has a typo. You put hose instead of hoUse. Just go to the title and update the info.
That conveyor and shoot is cool . The rock slingers are pretty awesome too.
Ron, you do a really nice job with explanation of the processes that you do on the jobsite. Good stuff and a good crew!
Thanks Russell
Your dog is special..... love your videos
that's exactly what I said " nice little job" had a lot of different obstacles to overcome and you guys did it right
Thanks 🙂
Brilliant once again!
You got a real nice little Buddy there Bondo! So glad you make him part of your Videos.
Looks very nice well done. 😊 👍
Awesome work
Nice job, you made it look easy a lot could have gone wrong, hire guys with the experience. Ray Stormont
Great video bondo

How the heck do you bid this stuff Bondo or does the owner give you a blank check?
Yeah right. 😂

It was to wet to drive my truck in there.

I notice that you flush the foam with the band board with a 2/12 sill plate. So you can get away with cantilevering out over the 2 1/8" of foam?
Yup exactly 👍🏻
Looks like you're getting some good use out of that new (to you) dump truck.
Wow I wish I had a boss like you
Nice work... I just realized you aren't far from my area... I'm on the western edge of the 315.
Rotor sit. Good dog. Another good one Ron. Thanks. Question….. how does the mud driver know what slump it becomes when he adds water?
Thanks uncle Jim. There is a slump meter in the truck but they know about how many gallons of water will effect the slump per yards in the truck.

Looks good.

Thats awesome. We do most of our work right in Oswego county. Do not have to travel to far there is so much work. 😀👍
Do you large with conventional cement or a synthetic like on EIFS?
Very good work guys, do you prefer use the foam blocks over plywood form's?
I do
Very nice job
Keep up the good work
What do you call your excavator?

Full depth basement without a cut-out to the existing basement to check floor elevations?
We cut a man door in but we had already poured our floor to match his existing floor. That was easy to measure down from the deck then set the laser up to that height
Can you parge directly over the ICF blocks?
The beer cans 😂😂😂 i may have missed any comments you made on that....im surprised no one mentioned it here. I was like...bear cans...why? 😂😂
I'm Misty, a female proall Reimer mixer operator....watching your videos are interesting 😊

Whats the cost for the pump truck?

I have a concrete chute I will try that. we never use it anyway for concrete. Thanks for the tip.
Bondo, Are those 2x8 sill plates? Also, your rim is going to be pretty much on top of the foam has this ever ben an issue with an engineer or inspector?
what is the R rating for those fox blocks
It also saves a big mess on the driveway and street, just saying, our inspectors here are very strict, southern California.. one drop of mud on the street we have to clean a city block! Crazy
Why wouldn’t the basement be completely dried in and not need a sump pump ?
Basements are damp proof but none are water proof.
Hey bondo have you seen those aluminum conveyors? They come in different lengths kind of spendy but they would be pretty handy on jobs like this I think.
Springer spaniel/poodle?
Did you skip the compaction?
Only taken 41mins before Big Biscuit was topless again this time! :P
Next time when you put rock in the bed, park the back tires on wooden blocks to get the chute up higher. Seen it done by another concrete company do it that way
Why do you pour cement in the circle then pour over it :)
We poured a stiffer concrete in the hole first then added some water to make it workable
You could take that stone and run it through a wash plant and sell it as washed river rock, at a heafty price , for landscaping.
You shouldn't get stoned at the job sight!😂
What?? Lol 😂
Are they Genesee beer cans? Australian here who has inlaws in Upstate New York and they look familiar! Love watching the crew and the works you guys do.
I see you were drinking Genesee Beer must be from Rochester area. I grew up in Waterloo now Tennessee.
Why don't you use the skid steer to scoop the rock out of the truck and then use it to dump it in the hole.
I'm really surprised that permitting allows you to do those tiny little windows. If someone gets trapped in the basement there's no way they're going to be able to get out of those windows nor can a fireman get in.
They have the back door for egress.
Instead of using all that rebar I’d like to see a video using metal fiber such as Helix Micro Rebar. Of course this doesn’t totally replace rebar but it will for all the flat work.
I can’t believe he put a pole in the middle of that room. Them 3 lvl’s should held that up .
Hi Ron, You going to Super DIrt Week? I see you dropping dirt where the pro stocks park. If so lets talk shop with a beer or bourbon. lol Thanks Andy
Wonder if the timed saved by putting some wood down on the yard would have been worth the price.
Dang push button gears?
Respekt
You should have used steel for the beam to eliminate the jack post. It wastes a lot of space.
Was not my call it was the architect
I thought the same. Was it even necessary.
@@bondobuilt386 The architect should be fired. With the building materials available today, there's no reason to have that post there.
21:25 Using your Genesee Beer cans as rebar covers should allow you to claim them as a business expense.
Nice one! but could you please give me information about these materials cost per unit and the manufacturing company address? and what is "Nudura block" and "fox block"?
You dumped the rock in the wheelbarrow then he turned the wheelbarrow and dumped it why didn't you just dump the rock on the ground.
More holes.. i mean, cmonn!!! I always drilled the crocks with more holes.. But if it works, it works!!! Put the lid on the crock while you trowl... you guy know that. Other wise the lid wont go on!!!
I don't think those are OSHA approved rebar caps😅
You like my fox blocks don’t you Bondo. Hehe
Put your camera on a head band holder.
🤣🤣🤣👍
Before you leave for the day, could you please level that fence? If not, could you please never film it again it's f%&king with my OCD.

Don't you guys have concrete pumpers
Buy some bar caps before some one gets hurt and not just your people, anyone don't be cheap.
