Why is this not either piers or a ditch footing? Seems incredfibly wasteful in terms of materials and labor to build a breakwater for a pond. What am I missing?

    There is no such thing as over building.your crew did an amazing job. The crawl space is tall enough for storage and who cares about the thickness of the concrete the home owner was in a bind and he may have paid more but he got the job done.

    With that broom finish, you'll never slip. Better wear your shoes when you walk on that!

    Owner should have known better about the water table. We call those grade beams in Wisco

      Actually the excavator or architect should have known better. not the homeowners fault.

    Bondo Built: Would be interesting to sometime hear your view on Insulated Steel Panels. You are one of the few prominent YT who could understand these things. Prices are very moderate as far as I can see, and the performance looks spectacular. Panelsell CA has the specifications and prices!

      Why use steel when SIPs are easier to work with?

    • @elbuggo
      @elbuggo Год назад

      @@kenbeiser4443 That's not obvious. At least you also need some roof and cladding and a rain screen? And inside wall need at least some paint. You also can get fireproof Insulated Steel Panels with Rockwool. That's no minor detail for many. The roof, the external and internal surfaces are ready to go as soon as the ISP is up.,
