Before I liked Rollercoasters as much as I do now, (I was basically scared of everything on a rollercoaster) my mom forced me to go on Full Throttle with my brother.
Tatsu’s pretzel loop is no joke my favorite element ever it took my breath away and I still think about it

Apocalypse is very well themed because it was formerly themed as Terminator. They eventually lost the IP, but kept the theming.

i think if you spend more time there tatsu will go up for you. the pretzel loop is the best element in the park and the whole ride is just so much better than any other flyer in the country
It's amazing but kind of rough. Nothing will beat X2's first drop imo.
Twisted Colossus stand-out moment: Top-gun stall during dueling.
Okay but did coastoons just like… forget about the Top Gun Stall? I fully agree that it’s not as good as it should be when the ride doesn’t duel properly, but twisted colossus is defined by that element. That’s what everyone talks about when they talk about that ride. It’s That element

It never duels tho so you can only experience the element when it does and he said that TC duelling is no1
I went on twisted colossus a couple years ago, and I actually got a side by side race while I was on the green side. I went again this year but Wonder Woman outshined it without any racing aspect.
I agree with most of these rankings! I wasn’t all that impressed with WCR but I’ve only ridden it once. Wonder Woman FOC does deserve more love that ride impressed me a lot.
I feel really bad you didn’t get to ride X2. Hopefully you’re able to return and ride it in the near future!
I didn't like west coast racers because I have really big legs so the shin guards were trash and the ride itself was meh
I don’t get the hate Wonder Woman and Jersey devil get aside from the restrains. They don’t have cartoonish pacing like the original raptors but not all rides need monstrous pacing to be great. They both pull great forces, great ejector, great hangtime and great positives. Their layouts also look very good
I’ve only ridden Jersey Devil but I’ve ridden it several times. I think it’s a fine ride but the last pass heading to the break run is just missing something. I think it’s missing an inversion personally since the train keeps twisting but it just never commits. Just needs that one last element.
But that’s just my opinion.
Jersey Devil is a ride that needs to warm up for it to have a good ride. I was on it opening day a few years back and was really underwhelmed, but if you go to the park now and ride it at night/later in the day, you'll consistently get great rides on it. It's sped up a lot since opening, and I imagine the same has happened to Wonder Woman.

Wow sucks those coasters were closed on your visit! I was thinking of visiting this year but I'm very concerned for ride closures. That seems VERY common there. Six Flags has to sort that out ASAP before adding any more rides to that park.
I've been on RailBlazer at California's Great America and I didn't go on Wonder Woman my first time at the park because I thought it'd be a waste of time and an inferior ride (because RailBlazer is smaller and has insane pacing), but boy, was I wrong. Wonder Woman is an absolute beast, with every element hitting like a demon is trying to throw you out of your seat. It's more consistent and better paced than Twisted Colossus (don't get me wrong, still an exceptional coaster), and also has a better layout (coming out of that MCBR is so shockingly intense, on top of everything you said). I have WWFOC as #4 at Magic Mountain and Twisted Colossus at 5.
I got a near perfect race (blue front on green middle) twice in a row on twisted colossus. It was so fun I will never forget it :)
Idk the hype for west coaster racers it’s like my 6th in the park but overall I agree with your rankings. Also x2 would probably place 1st-2nd just depends if you enjoy the gimmick of the first drop and don’t mind roughness.

I just came home from my two day trip to cedar point, and it was THE BEST TRAIP EVER. Maverick was closed though, so I cried myself to sleep
Viper was my dads first coaster he ever went on that had a loop and it was because his friends put a lot of pressure on him
hot take- the double down on the green track of twisted colossus is the best element on the ride
The reason Apocalypse’s queue is themed pretty well is because it used to be themed to Terminator.
Full Throttle gets too much hate for "ruining the end". I think it's amazing despite the end. I actually think the ending is one of the best parts. I rode it in the middle with a crazy amount of room... The ejector on that drop was the strongest airtime in that park tbh. That ride is by far my favorite Premier Rides coaster.
Tbh goliath has probably the best airtime in the park

A handful of these really depend on seat selection. Tatsu in most seats, nice. Tatsu in front row, EPIC
I HATE front row on tatsu because that lift hill terrifies me and in the front you dangle for a second on the drop.

Twisted Colossus was my faourite coaster there because it was late November 2019 so Superman was down, West Coast Racers wasn't open yet and Wonder Woman hadn't even been planned yet. so my rankings were 1: Twisted Colossus: 2: X2: 3: Riddler's Revenge; 4: Tatsu. However: I have ridden Jersey Devil and I don't think it's as good as Twisted Colossus, X2 or Riddler's Revenge, however it's possible that Wonder Woman Flight of Courage is that much better than Jersey Devil.

I dont understand people saying scream is rough, I went on scream a week ago and it was still rather smooth, and i didn't walk off with a headache unlike viper
X2 is interesting. Personally i didn't like it because my legs would ragdoll around and slam onto the seat constantly. However, i would probably do it again.

Its not flawed at all !! Its the only 4 X ride in all of North America!! And it was the first one ever made.
The only gripe i make is the last raven turn. It's rough. I got a great tip from Chris at air time thrills.
Stick your legs straight out. It definitely helps with the calf banging. Looks strange, but your calves will thank u.

For me X2 is my number one, it is not for people who have a low tolerance for bumpy and rough rides. but If you can look past that you will have one of the best ride experiences in the word ( if you sit in the back)
I’ve ridden it 5+ times and I can assure you that it is a lot smoother in the middle than on the far wing
If youre flexible enough put your feet on seat you're sitting in as much as possible. Really helps with the roughness because the seats have decent cushioning and the roughness is felt mostly in the legs IMO

It really sucks that you didn't get to go on X2. It's definitely the best ride in the park. You have to go back to Magic Mountain someday to do X2. It would be totally worth it.
Hi, Coastoons! I've been a fan of you for a long time, and ever since I watched your "How to get rid of your fear" video (something like that). I've loved rollercoasters so much! I've traveled to many countries like the USA, France, the UK, South Korea, and Japan! I'm planning to go to SFMM in the winter (I've bought a fast pass). And I'm probably not going to spend a lot of time there. What should I ride? (Including others like Superman, Goliath, X2, etc)
I would say rides you HAVE to hit are X2, Wonder Woman, Twisted Colossus, Westcoast Racers, and Tatsu. Then once you make sure you ride those I would recommend rides like full throttle, apocalypse, goliath, superman (if its even open), scream, and maybe viper.
Speaking as someone who has SFMM as their home park, I'd say ride Twisted Colossus, X2, Wonder Woman, Tatsu, West Coast Racers, and Full Throttle at least. They're the star attractions in the park and they all have Flash Pass Lanes. Superman does not have a Flash Pass Lane so plan accordingly if you wish to ride. The other B&M's are good with Scream being super underrated, Riddler's being a good and forceful stand up, and Batman being Batman. Prioritize the top rides and then move down to the other smaller Coasters in this massive park. Be aware that since last year, operations and management hasn't been the best in the park so some or most Coasters could actually be closed. But either way, have fun!
Also don't sleep on Viper. It's a really intense coaster with some amazing inversions

I don't know if you've ridden X2 yet, but it's way over-hyped. the restraints are uncomfortable, and the rotations jerk you around violently, slamming your legs against the seat.

Jersey Devil is probably the same as Wonder Woman now. It’s running at lightning pace to the point where the staff say it’s running abnormally fast. Idk what they did to it but it is so much better than the past 2 years.
I just went to Great Adventure for my first time last week and I was wondering why people hated on it because it was crazy
@@gabet3514 it is nuts. I usually dont get that great of rides on it cause i usually ride in the morning and ride better rides like Toro or Ka later in the day but even in the morning you get great airtime on almost every element besides the camelback.

When I was waiting in line for West Cost Racers, I could see the Full Throttle launch area, and I kept screaming at my dad “ITS GOING BACKWARDS” but every time he looked he just saw the ride going forward, we didn’t even get to ride full throttle so I couldn’t say “I told you so”.
I went in 2014 and haven't ridden Superman: Escape From Krypton, Viper, Twisted Colossus, Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage, Batman: The Ride, or West Coast Racers yet. So for now, my favorite ride there is Full Throttle, followed by The Riddler's Revenge, Colossus, Apocalypse, Goliath, Scream, Tatsu, X2, Ninja, Goldrusher, Revolution, and Green Lantern: First Flight.

I need to reride X2, but the one ride I got was super underwhelming. The first drop and back flip hill are awesome, but most of the ride is kinda boring and slow.

To each their own I guess but I would take riding twisted colossus over Wonder Woman any day. I could care less about the old dueling feature, I understand coming out of COVID a lot of places are still understaffed, but again I could care less if I get to ride twisted colossus twice (especially in the back row). Also again to each their own but there is nothing about west coast racers that’ll put it above tatsu. In my opinion tatsu is one of the smoothest coasters at the park and that pretzel loop alone bumps WCR

This ranking is super different than mine. Full Throttle is easily one of my favorites, it just captures that “pure fun” feeling despite the last drop being cut short. And maybe I am biased by getting 3 night rides in the fog, but I think Viper is also top 3 in the park. Surprisingly it also captured that “pure fun” feeling for me.
And Wonder Woman, while definitely a great ride, didn’t stand out that much to me. I think while every element definitely hits, none of them are very unique compared to Twisted Colossus. Despite never getting a duel, TC just has more character to me and is my #1.
I'm going 8th of july, probably also the only time I ever visit here. I just keep praying every day X2 will be open🙏🤣

Umm... the Full Throttle thing isn't without warning. There's definitely a countdown. There's even music. And a demonic laugh. Also I disagree with anyone who says that the brakes kill the airtime on Throttle's drop. I believe it actuall makes it better because you actually get to hang there for a bit longer rather than just slamming back down into your seat like on a normal airtime moment. But I'm not an airtime person, I'm a hangtime one, which is why I place Throttle, Viper, and Wonder Woman higher than most people, why I place Twisted lower (though the stall is amazing). Also Tatsu is definitely not overrated.

vipers lowest in the park for me but im biased because my brother got a concussion on it, to me screams rattle is just a b&m rattle while vipers is worse, idk i prefer bnm restraints to arrow

Wow, hot take city. And I don’t know man, would you rather they have built ninja on flat ground so that it didn’t need a lift hill at the end of the layout? It was kind of unavoidable in order to incorporate it into the terrain of the park. Putting West Coast racers that high and saying that it has charm just makes me laugh, but everyone is entitled to their opinions.
