Once you ride Fury 325, you’ll understand why gigas are B&M’s best. The speed and intensity on that thing is insane! Orion is also a fantastic ride. I haven’t ridden Leviathan yet through.

From a technical standpoint, B&M doesn’t consider their gigas as a separate model from their hypers, which means IMO the combination of the two as one model makes the hyper B&M’s absolute best.

I’m not arguing with stand ups as the bottom slot, but I have to say that Georgia Scorcher absolutely shocked me with how fun it was. Easily in the upper half of a park that has a really solid lineup without a bad coaster (now that GASM has been retracked). I absolutely hate Vortex at my home park, but for whatever reason in spite of having extremely similar elements, Georgia Scorcher was comfortable, butter smooth, and had a fun distribution of positive Gs.

I'm actually on board with your Great Bear take, that second half after the immelmann loop uses the supports to its advantage and creates all these near misses that make it feel so much faster and thrilling. Also the pre-drop helix is so charming.

The large dive loops on Riddler's actually work, it eases the positive g's given how fast the ride is going so early in the layout. The Giga's hit differently, with Mako's first half probably feeling the closest in terms of sensation.

Floorless coasters are hit or miss. Dominator and Medusa (SFDK) I would consider 2 must rides when visiting their respective parks. Medusa is easily #2 at SFDK, and Dominator is a unique-ish layout for a floorless.

B&M Giga's (as well as the mini-hypers) may not be hypers according to the standard definition, but you're ranking the models and according to B&M, Gigas and mini-hypers are part of the hyper coaster model. So you didn't have to count gigas anyway. The family inverts are also technically their own separate models. There's two in China. I think most thoosies would put them in last place, even under the stand-ups (for obvious reasons), though most thoosies of course haven't been to China.

When I went to Six Flags Great Adventure I got the chance to ride on green lantern, I didn't know it was a standup coaster right when I got on it. I know everyone hates standups, but riding one is high on my bucket list. As a European who has never been on a coaster outside of Europe, I just wanna experience one and see how bad they really are.

B&M is the LEGO of coasters.

Standing coasters are honestly dangerous too, I once went on Riddler's Revenge and it's supposed to adjust to your height but the person before me was taller than me and it didn't, and I tried to get the ride operators' attention multiple times to no avail. Thankfully I dont have a dick or it would be a verrrry bad time, because i essentially had to go the entire ride on the tippiest parts of my toes, or with one leg braced in front and one behind me. Absolute nightmare. The only ride worse than it was the Magic Mountain Green Lantern (the boob-crusher)

I think the only downside to the hypers are the trims. I get weather can account for speed loss but by now you should be able to design a coaster thsg doesnt need trims. If intamin can do it with a giga and several of their hypers than B&M do at least a 220 foot tall hyper without them
