- What if The Smiler at Alton Towers had MORE inversions, went upside down more than times than 14?? Well today we dont have to imagine it as i have recreated the smiler as if it had way more loops and it's one hell of a coaster. Join me as i take a look at concepts with less inversions, some with worlds first elements and of course that 18 inversion one!

Mr Digital Dan great video by the way! A quick suggestion is maybe you could make a video on what if The Wave / Shockwave had a longer layout as I'm sure when we all got off it we thought it was quite short compared to other UK coasters!

If they made smiler have 28 inversions and then it goes up a massive vertical lift hill and then rolls you back through the entire thing that would be 56 inversions even though the queue would go slower and there would only be able to be one cart it still sounds cool

Oooooh, what if the "washing machine" came to Planet Coaster 2? Uh, that is the type of thing I DO want... that level of creativity to consider in designs (Hex meets actual coaster, Preshows, etc.)

I was also thinking you could maybe have a cutback sort of thing at the final turn instead of the barrel roll to make an extra inversion.

Could you do this again but without only doing barrel rolls, like an Immelmann can be replaced with a batwing, a u turn with a cobra roll etc

Imagine going on the smiler in 2015 but it's been closed and a bunch of faults have been happening. Its also very windy day, above 34 miles per hour. It's very busy so 5 cars are added to the track, but as the engineer or whatever didn't know this, he let the car past the block brakes. Just imagine.

“The 1,153 m (3,783 ft) roller coaster features 14 inversions” - taken from Eejanaika at Fuji-Q Highland.
Smiler’s record might possibly have been Smiler’s alone (Eejanaika SBNO) in 2013-14 closed season during the Eejanaika repaint, but Eejanaika’s inversions record was Eejanaika’s alone until 2013, and from the Smiler crash (Smiler SBNO) until the next Alton Towers operation season.
