@@ThunderfallFilms every six flags park is so unstaffed it’s crazy. at my home park all 3 water rides are closed, one of them for the whole season and the other 2 i have no idea what’s going on. also considering the accident that occurred at a non-six flags park with a water ride similar to roaring rapids, they probably need to inspect all water rides and probably reevaluate the rules and regulations, but considering they can’t find any employees, what’s the point? all parks just seem to be suffering

I just wanna say, you guys are super lucky to be able to go around and visit multiple parks every single year, unlike some of us like myself, who only get to go out a couple times a year, or some people even less. Keep up the great work though!
I've always wondered watching videos from coaster enthusiasts who visit multiple parks every year how they do it. You need money to survive and do that, so how are they getting their income? All from youtube? Surely not. Maybe some kind of job that lets you work anywhere? I have no clue, but it's interesting to me. Sounds like a fun time getting to travel the country, sometimes the world, going to various amusement parks.
@@TheSpiderComix yeah I know, and it's not just money, if you're someone who doesn't have a job you can do on the go like youtube how do you find time to go to these parks because you still need to go to work and you can't just quit your job or not go to work because you need your job so you can live and go to the parks. I don't know, as someone who got into coasters via youtube, I haven't figured out how to get money for my future trips and find time for my future trips at the same time. I know how to get the money but then I run into the time problem and I know how to find time but don't know how to solve the money problem. Which is why I wish there was some sort of guide for people who don't have a job they can do outside of home

At one point we were also working for KD, so that also allowed us to go to any Cedarfair park. (Went to CP, KI, Carowinds, even up to Canada’s Wonderland that year.) We use Air B&B, and try to plan around food & wine festival.
Ah, long lines, rides breaking down, half of the food places closed, seems like a typical Six Flags day. I guess we're back to before covid-times (BC).
I've been to about 40ish different theme parks across 4 different continents and I can honestly say that the day I had at SFOG was the worst day I've had at a theme park ever. So many closed food & drink outlets, broken down rides, queues for food - pretty much what you experienced here. The people in the comments section who say this is their home park, I really feel you deserve better.
I'm sure there are days when it's less bad, but I probably won't get to see them... since I'm in the UK, I only visit US parks when I'm on holiday. I visited SFOG in combination with Dollywood and Carowinds on a trip a couple of years ago - I guess I learnt that there were parks that I'd go out of my way to visit (e.g. Cedar Point, Universal Orlando - I want to get to Busch Gardens Williamsburg & Kings Dominion on my next trip), but I'm getting to the point where I wouldn't go out of my way to visit any of the 6 flags parks. I've done Magic Mountain a bunch of times and Great Adventure too, but the rest of the 6 flags parks I've been put off visiting because of my experience with SFOG. Possibly it's ok for a local park, but if you're planning a holiday and a one-off visit, you need the experience to be great!
I'm currently at six flags over Texas watching this in line and I can say I've had a very similar day, with broken down rides, extremely long lines, etc but it was my fault for coming during spring break. I will say although annoying to wait in lines it's very nice to see to see the theme park industry booming and hopefully we can have normal seasons again very soon.

In fact, you came up and said hi to me as I was finishing washing my hands at one outside of New Texas Giant (I was wearing one of your older shirts). I'm not surprised at all the breakdowns you had at SFOG. That park has been the worst with breakdowns for me.

Six flags over Georgia is not near me but magic mountain is near me. Is intimidator 305 the most intense the rollercoaster you have ever ridden even after riding way more roller coasters.
i went here last Sunday and it was pretty much the same story. Twisted Cyclone went to one-train operations within the first 30 minutes of park open then broke down, so we had to bail on that after an hour, Batman's line was out the door, so was Dahlonega Mine Train's of all rides, Blue Hawk broke down as we were about to get on it, I noticed Superman was evacuating its queue, hell Monster Mansion broke down for awhile. the thing is between its roster and setting this park could be one of the greats in the chain and the dominant (non-Disney/Universal) park of the southeast, but before it gets the launch or the raptor or even the freespin it _needs_ a better-trained crew, especially in food service. It sucks because since this is my home park I've seen Goliath with top-notch operations and it's unlike anything else I've seen.
I have NEVER had a good experience at this park. Goliath is a blast. Twisted Cyclone was broken down when I was there. I’m willing to drive an extra hour from Nashville to go to Kings Island every time.
I think understaffing might be a reason why a lot of food places were closed on your visit which I feel like it’s gonna be a problem for a lot of theme parks around the country this year with things getting back to kinda normal
6:40 My friend who is a manager at Kemah Boardwalk said they are having horrid trouble finding employees as some can't show up for quarantine and others have chosen not to work because in many places you can make more on unemployment.
Yeah, sure, the rides went through maintenance after coming out of months and months of being closed, but Six Flags should have done a full day of test runs on EVERYTHING. No excuse.

im happy to say, the great American scream machine has been retracked this year, and it is now a very enjoyable ride (i rode in the front, best ride ive ever had on gasm).
1. Yes I would wait in an hour line for a super loop only because I have never ridden one yet and there’s not one near me. If I had ridden one I would not, unless if said Superloop had a themed queue. 2. Probably still would call it mindbender. On a side note they should have called it Riddlers Mindbender than The Riddler Mindbender.
Went here this past Sunday. It was busy and we waited an hour and a half for Twisted Cyclone, as it broke down for a little bit. But we got lucky with all the other rides and we didn't have to wait more than thirty minuets except for Pandemonium.
I got to the line at the parking lot at 1130, didn't get on any rides until about 3, the line were horrible, I'm glad I got upgraded to diamond elite vip, those 2 extra passes made my day so much better
I just went to Over Georgia a few weekends ago, and they had to run one of the trains on Scream Machine with a broken lap bar. They just kept the lap bar taped off so no one would sit in it. The problem with that is someone decided to just sit there anyway, and they got stuck in the restraint.
Me and my wife went the second weekend it was open this year and there were no lines anywhere all morning. We rode Goliath twice with no wait and had almost no wait at any other ride except Scorcher, which we waited for about 40 minutes for. We didn’t get to ride Twisted Cyclone, DareDevil or Superman but every other ride had less than a 10 minute wait. It was a great visit.
I'm one of these people that like roller coasters but is prone to motion sickness on some of them. I can't ride Batman. Both times I have ridden it, the heartline spin just makes me so sick I can't ride anything else. What is wierd (and I didn't hear you guys mention it), but they used to have this crazy coaster called The Ninja and I could ride it multiple times and never get sick, so I guess it's just that part in the Batman ride that gets me. Oh, and i absolutely love The Georgia Cyclone. The only other wooden coaster that I thought beat it was The Rampage at Alabama Adventure which was sadly shut down. Great video guys!
Man e and my wife and 2 kids (8 and 6) went to this park for the first time 3 days ago. I don't know if its the pandemic but over half the stores and attractions were closed. We bought those season cups to fill and they say there are fill stations al; around the park but the fill stations were all out of soda and ice and the only thing that came out was lukewarm water. If you wanted to refill inside of a food place there were like only 4 open in the whole dam park and lines were SOOOOOOO long. They would not be as long if all the food places were opened. And so many rides broke down. The dare devile one broke as we were about to ride, the jokers kid coaster broke 3 times as we tried trhoughout the day, the wave pool in hurricane harbour stopped making waves. The whole experience was really disappointing. will not return.
I went on opening day and operations were extremely slow and the park wasn't busy AT ALL! not to mention the GP was just so so rude. People were jumping gates and fences to line jump. At the Georgia Scorcher, one staff member saw someone jump the line and he completely ignored it. While I did really enjoy the rides, I don't think I will be revisiting.
SFOG should be a must visit in 2023 and 2024. They’re getting the world’s first Ultra Surf from Intamin and Skyline Attractions’ P’Sghetti Bowl coaster
This seems to be only major problems if you wanna go do everything like all the coasters, meanwhile the only reason I want to go to SOFG is for Monster Mansion, just go for a day and ride it over and over again the entire time, that’s all I need😅
Hey! 👋🏾 This is my home park, and I too was there this past weekends on 3/6 and 3/13. I am so sorry you had such a taxing time during your visit.😔 But if it's any consolation, even members with flash passes somehow have to go through exact same thing. 🤔 It's obvious Six Flags is trying to make up for lost revenue in 2020, and taking herd mentality venues to replenish that loss.🙄
As someone who goes to a lot of concerts (go figure) and has to make occasional trips back "to the car" after being told I can't bring in my camera, I never wait in line when I come back. I just go straight to the front and find the security guards that I saw the first time.
I wait an hour to rides Superman ultimate flight once, it been broke down for about an hour, the reason was because I got stuck in the restraints, Ironic.
Re: Great American Scream Machine getting stuck, could be some guy with a cell phone out. When I was at SFA's opening weekend, Superman and Wild One were stopped on the lift hill due to phones out.
Man I was there the same day shooting a vlog, it was sooooo busy but the rides were running better and faster than they have been in a long time! It was definitely a Six Flags day but still a pretty good time overall.
I was there 2 weeks ago on opening weekend wasn’t as busy but was still busy. Food was busy. Diner by dare devil was about at the door all day or awhile. Had 1 drink station type place open.
I went to Six Flags Over Texas in March this year. It was absolutely packed, we got 2 rides in, one was because we made a mad dash to titan as soon as we got there only had to wait about 45 minutes , and one was only possible because I used my membership pass for the texas giant, 4 hour wait otherwise. Going again in a few days in hope of a redemption, with the gift of flash passes
Also avoid 4th of july it's family tradition to got to amusement parks on the fourth of july and it's always busy I'm glad I have to sit that out this year because I don't feel like dealing with the crowds
This is my home park and I predicted that we would either be getting a launch coaster in the Screampunk area or a free spin where Splash Water Falls is. We got two flat rides instead and one of them is a carnival ride... Banking on 2022 though. I would also like to apologize on behalf of my home park for the absolutely abysmal staffing and general operations.
I think I'll have to return to SFoG for my own redemption run. I went in 2017 for Georgia Cyclone's closing weekend, and Amtrak delays meant the park was a credit run. Didn't get to experience Acrophobia or Monster Mansion.
This park has so much potential, it already has a great collection of coasters, but with maybe two good additions like an S&S or Premier launch and maybe a Raptor it would be top notch. Seems like the only thing holding it back is the overall operations, which is unfortunately understandable being a Six Flags park in the middle of a pandemic. It’s hard to draw in and maintain healthy staffing when so many people want/have to stay home for their health and safety.
That’s a crazy line! We went the first we of June on a Tuesday and it was slow! There was no lines at any ride we got on except Superman..but the line wasn’t too bad though.
Me and the GF took our first trip to Six Flags Over Georgia just yesterday. We waited an hour to get our flash passes just to find out all of the rides were full or "delayed". We then went on SkyScreamer and my harness wouldn't lock. The attendant's solution was for me and her to just... switch places. We also walked under the train and found rusty nails on the ground. Can only imagine what those came from :))))) Of course the entire park stank of weed too, and nobody was wearing their masks. lmao i've been spoiled by Florida parks tbh. We're taking a redemption trip to Busch Gardens. At least the staff there know how to do their jobs.
I think ( I need help with this question) that it was Christmas time which was when it opened. Now it’s when it the beginning of March and spring and I can believe that some kids and college students are on break. I know why it is packed. When I went in the summer when it opened, I got to ride most everything. I feel so bad for you that is pure bad luck!

@Texas Ranger this is usually true and basically the only way I've ever gotten a ride on Dare Devil Dive, but this last visit I was inside at open.

We bought those season cups to fill and they say there are fill stations al; around the park but the fill stations were all out of soda and ice and the only thing that came out was lukewarm water. If you wanted to refill inside of a food place there were like only 4 open in the whole dam park and lines were SOOOOOOO long. They would not be as long if all the food places were opened. And so many rides broke down. The dare devile one broke as we were about to ride, the jokers kid coaster broke 3 times as we tried trhoughout the day, the wave pool in hurricane harbour stopped making waves. The whole experience was really disappointing. will not return.
I went on opening day and operations were extremely slow and the park wasn't busy AT ALL! not to mention the GP was just so so rude. People were jumping gates and fences to line jump. At the Georgia Scorcher, one staff member saw someone jump the line and he completely ignored it. While I did really enjoy the rides, I don't think I will be revisiting.
I'm SO GLAD that my sister can get an ADA with that you don't have to wait in line
SFOG should be a must visit in 2023 and 2024. They’re getting the world’s first Ultra Surf from Intamin and Skyline Attractions’ P’Sghetti Bowl coaster
Everything bad you experienced, in my opinion, is reflective of bad management, whether park specific or the company as a whole.
What do you think a gp thought there if he knew what all the issues at this park are??

This seems to be only major problems if you wanna go do everything like all the coasters, meanwhile the only reason I want to go to SOFG is for Monster Mansion, just go for a day and ride it over and over again the entire time, that’s all I need😅

It's obvious Six Flags is trying to make up for lost revenue in 2020, and taking herd mentality venues to replenish that loss.🙄
As someone who goes to a lot of concerts (go figure) and has to make occasional trips back "to the car" after being told I can't bring in my camera, I never wait in line when I come back. I just go straight to the front and find the security guards that I saw the first time.
Went 3 different times in 2020 after Thanksgiving thru January 3rd and fell in love with that park.
I wait an hour to rides Superman ultimate flight once, it been broke down for about an hour, the reason was because I got stuck in the restraints, Ironic.
Re: Great American Scream Machine getting stuck, could be some guy with a cell phone out. When I was at SFA's opening weekend, Superman and Wild One were stopped on the lift hill due to phones out.

Man I was there the same day shooting a vlog, it was sooooo busy but the rides were running better and faster than they have been in a long time! It was definitely a Six Flags day but still a pretty good time overall.
I was there 2 weeks ago on opening weekend wasn’t as busy but was still busy. Food was busy. Diner by dare devil was about at the door all day or awhile. Had 1 drink station type place open.
I went to Six Flags Over Texas in March this year. It was absolutely packed, we got 2 rides in, one was because we made a mad dash to titan as soon as we got there only had to wait about 45 minutes , and one was only possible because I used my membership pass for the texas giant, 4 hour wait otherwise.
Going again in a few days in hope of a redemption, with the gift of flash passes
Lines on opening day for food were also crazy long due to most of the stands being closed.

you shouldnt go over spring break or march through april bc its expected to be packed go on a week day in june or july perferbly a tuesday
Also avoid 4th of july it's family tradition to got to amusement parks on the fourth of july and it's always busy I'm glad I have to sit that out this year because I don't feel like dealing with the crowds

This is my home park and I predicted that we would either be getting a launch coaster in the Screampunk area or a free spin where Splash Water Falls is. We got two flat rides instead and one of them is a carnival ride... Banking on 2022 though. I would also like to apologize on behalf of my home park for the absolutely abysmal staffing and general operations.

I think I'll have to return to SFoG for my own redemption run. I went in 2017 for Georgia Cyclone's closing weekend, and Amtrak delays meant the park was a credit run. Didn't get to experience Acrophobia or Monster Mansion.

This park has so much potential, it already has a great collection of coasters, but with maybe two good additions like an S&S or Premier launch and maybe a Raptor it would be top notch. Seems like the only thing holding it back is the overall operations, which is unfortunately understandable being a Six Flags park in the middle of a pandemic. It’s hard to draw in and maintain healthy staffing when so many people want/have to stay home for their health and safety.
Talk about a six flags day!

That’s a crazy line! We went the first we of June on a Tuesday and it was slow! There was no lines at any ride we got on except Superman..but the line wasn’t too bad though.

Me and the GF took our first trip to Six Flags Over Georgia just yesterday. We waited an hour to get our flash passes just to find out all of the rides were full or "delayed". We then went on SkyScreamer and my harness wouldn't lock. The attendant's solution was for me and her to just... switch places. We also walked under the train and found rusty nails on the ground. Can only imagine what those came from :)))))
Of course the entire park stank of weed too, and nobody was wearing their masks.
lmao i've been spoiled by Florida parks tbh. We're taking a redemption trip to Busch Gardens. At least the staff there know how to do their jobs.

I think ( I need help with this question) that it was Christmas time which was when it opened. Now it’s when it the beginning of March and spring and I can believe that some kids and college students are on break. I know why it is packed. When I went in the summer when it opened, I got to ride most everything. I feel so bad for you that is pure bad luck!

Glad you are excited for it. I am not sure exactly when they’ll be back, but they will be back at some point. I’ve just been so busy I’ve temporarily put them on hold
