    A few thoughts..
    - Acrophobia just had a major refurb and I know these rides are starting to see a decline but it’s still on the newer side. I think it’s safe for at least 5 more years.
    - Dare Devil Dive isn’t going anywhere in my opinion.
    - Dahlonega Mine Train is the next coaster to potentially get removed.
    - Entrance is staying put. They just redid it to shield it from the road. Layout is a bit weird but the park has been vocal about continuing to improve it including a giant custom painted mural.
    - The once had a back entrance where the go karts are but now with computer systems and all, I highly doubt they would make an entry there again. Especially not as the only entrance.
    - The smaller parking lot has been open every time I visit. It just doesn’t appear to be open and they often block it unless you are entering from the back entrance over there. There’s often no one directing traffic so I just go that way and do a U turn to get into that lot. Super convenient. I imagine the Cedar Fair management will start enforcing parking processes next year but this year it has been a free for all in that lot with people entering the lot through exits without going through the parking booths and many people parking all day in the unmarked drop off zone.

    Acrophobia just went through a year long refurbishment; they said it’s newly painted, has a brand new gondola, motors, and cables. So it’s gonna be around for a long time.
    I also agree that arena is such a waste of space.
    I agree the entrance is weird, they should have kept it in the back. But they just redid the entrance so that probably won’t ever change.

    • @edt-ze3ke
      @edt-ze3ke 11 часов назад

      The refurbishment could probably prevent it from being a victim of SF’s devious stunt of closing down rides with no official announcement.

    Eons ago when I worked there, kids were often dropped of for the day which is why the entrance is designed the way it is. A seasons pass and $20 would keep the kids entertained. We were unofficially dubbed Six Flags babysitting service.

    I do miss the back entrance to SFOG from the 90s. It was so much closer than walking all the way to the front. Nobody rides the go karts. It's an upcharge attraction and is rarely ever busy. Get rid of it and reopen the back gate or use it for future coaster expansion.

    Always love these videos! If it was up to me I say Six Flags should turn the parking lot near Twisted Cyclone into a resort/hotel and a new parking lot on the west side of the park near the waterpark giving the waterpark its own entrance along with the waterpark being expanded! And of course build the 2 coasters you suggested in the video along with the new main entrance!
    Would love to see you do a similar video about Dorney Park or even Darien Lake in the future!

This may have been done for this year. The big gift shop near the front entrance was recently renovated and looks really nice now also. Very excited for this parks future.

    (1) I don't see Acrophobia leaving, unless Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has big plans to build a replacement drop tower ride in its place.
    (2) If Kid Flash Coaster's days is numbered. That plot of land, including the Axis Arena theater, I could see a Premier Rides multi-launch coaster (maybe a mirror image clone of West Coast Racers) themed to Batgirl and Robin, or a family Vekoma boomerang ride. I'm not feeling it with a B&M Dive Coaster, unless Dare Devil Dive Eurofighter gets removed.
    (3) I could see Hurricane Harbor (which is included with admission to main Six Flag Over Georgia) getting a new addition, like a water coaster.
    (4) If Dare Devil Dive gets the boot, that could serve as an opening for B&M Dive, or one of those Vekoma Tilt Coaster, or something that could fit in that area very beautifully, and is attractive to the eyes. Mind Bender coaster is too iconic of a ride, and don't see that being removed anytime soon, as it's also an ACE landmark. While Georgia Surfer doesn't look too bad, I'd have welcomed seeing an Aquaman Power Splash ride instead, as that attractions would've had better capacity, similar to Six Flags Over Texas Aquaman Power Splash ride.
    (5) Six Flags used to have a rear entrance where the Go Karts and Pandemonium ride currently stands but did away with it at the end of the 1997 season. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the front entrance get modified and updated. I could see Georgia Scorcher overhauled from stand-up to floor-less. If, in the event, the old rear entrance were to be reopened as new main entrance, and the current main entrance done away with, I could see a quarter or third of the west parking area removed and repurposed for park expansion, and a tunnel to the new area built, but that would be if new Six Flags management sees potential in growing the park with new attractions. They'd have to get park attendance up for that. I could see them building new Season Pass processing offices outside the park in that area, if the current main entrance were to be done away with. If the main entrance is moved back to old back entrance area, I could see original layout RMC Raptor or T-Rex coaster as new main entrance coaster.
    This will be a wait and see for now. Hopefully the next few years might be interesting.

    • @edt-ze3ke
      @edt-ze3ke 12 часов назад

      Scorcher doesn’t need a floorless conversion if it’s already smooth and good enough to not need it. DDD is often argued of wherever it’s a dive coaster or not, but by looking at CP having a dive coaster and tilt right next to each other, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to offer rides with a similar gimmick but have different ride experiences. Many enthusiasts don’t like that kind of concept where as the GP do since they tend to enjoy gimmicky rides.

    Six Flags Over Georgia is an amazing park to visit. And with the new Six Flags now having full ownership of the park, it makes me excited to see what the future holds for SFOG. Now, here's my answers for some of the burning questions:
    1.) I have to agree with you, Acrophobia is a one of a kind thrill ride. I don't want to see this ride get removed from the park. Also, the ride went through a year-long refurbishment, with a new paint scheme, gondola, motors and cables. So, I don't see this ride getting removed in the next few years.
    2.) Personally, Kid Flash is an odd fit for the park, despite the amazing lighting package. Now, if the coaster's days are numbered, the plot of land could be used for a Vekoma Family Boomerang coaster.
    3.) SFOG's Hurricane Harbor waterpark is included with admission to the dry park. I predict that we could see Hurricane Harbor expand with some new additions, like a water coaster and a Mat Racer.
    4.) Now, if Six Flags Over Georgia looks to remove Dare Devil Dive down the road, it would be prime real estate for a Vekoma Tilt Coaster. BTW, I don't think the park would remove Riddler Mindbender, since it's an iconic ride.
    5.) I think that the idea of a new front entrance for the park sounds like a fantastic idea. The go-karts needs to go in my opinion, and a Premiere Rides launch coaster that interacts with the area would be incredible. Also, the idea of a B&M Family Inverted coaster being placed in the old entrance area would be a smart move for Over Georgia.

    • @justinchavez9530
      @justinchavez9530 9 часов назад +1

      Now, here's my additional details that I could see SFOG do in the next few years:
      - The Great American Scream Machine would be re-profiled and re-tracked by GCI as well as some new trains.
      - Georgia Scorcher would be converted into a B&M Floorless coaster.
      - I think that the park would focus on adding a few new small family flat rides.
      - We'd see some new shows added to the park's entertainment offerings and a few new festivals as well during the operating season.
      - Monster Mansion could get another refurbishment, with the addition of a new ride system and update the animatronics and effects.
      - I think that we could see the addition of a new slogan for the park. Imagine something like, “Six Flags Over Georgia - ATL’s Place For Thrills.”

    Brandon, I'm Charlotte born and Atlanta bred so I love having 2 home parks. I also worked at SFOG in high school so this park has a soft spot in my heart!
    I simply LOVE your idea of moving the entrance to the back and including a coaster that interacts with the entrance gate. My only issue is that should have been done during the Twisted Cyclone construction. Not many people realize that the ONLY reason the 3rd lap was omitted is because SFOG didn't want to tear out the restrooms at that end of the front entrance to expand the footprint in order to include the 3rd lap! If they had known Arie Force One was coming, I think they would have thought twice about not keeping the last lap!
    And I know I'm asking for trouble but I also wish we had gotten a Joker 4D Free Spin instead of the Larson Loop since that was the time frame when Six Flags was passing them out like Halloween candy! I know some people don't like them but to me, Gotham City just seems incomplete without one! It would have looked AWESOME towering over the pathway as you walk up the hill toward Gotham City! Now we'll never have one!
    All in all, your ideas are GREAT!

    All Six Flags need more theming IMO. Even if you're only going for the rides or water slides it would go a long way if there were better visuals. Also changing the entrance makes sense - what a crazy walk now - but they would need to move the marketplace area as well. Very doable, might cost a few millions, but recouped over a few years. Hmmm... I might just do a new entrance re-design on my channel based on your information here.

    Georgia is about 4hrs for me which is a bit further than Kings Island, and I don't get there that often. Versus Kings Island which is an every year park. I love the park, but it doesn't have that coaster that draws me to it. I don't know if they are restricted by height limits, I believe there is airport nearby but it might be far enough away and out of flight paths to not impose any limits. I always see them as a mid tier park, but definitely have the potential to move up. Thinking a solid multi-launch looper from vekoma and possibly a wing glider or small scale extreme spinner and they kinda need a family boomerang. I would love to see Mindbender return to its former glory, and Gravity Group do their magic on Scream Machine. Ride removals, I can see Georgia Scorcher get the axe eventually, but its still popular enough, and Blue Hawk but even that could still be a few years out.

    Thanks Brandon, where six flags missed an opportunity was the land adjacent to the second parking lot. There are 3 dilapidated hotels there and a third party parking lot. Six flags should have bought that land. I’ve read that a government building for homeless veterans will be building there. That will spill more potentially unwanted people in and around the area for a family friendly environment. I love this park, unfortunately the city has grown closer and closer to the park over the last 50 years that I’ve been traveling there. I now have grandchildren I would like to bring there, but I now have to stay further and further away from the park to feel safe. If they could somehow buy that land, cut off the outside traffic and get a chaperone policy the park would be able to thrive once more. As far as rides go, there is an airport less than a mile from there so height restrictions will apply. This is a beautiful park with lots of shade and potential. I will visit this summer.

    Dare Devil Dive should be relocated to a park like Great Escape. It'd be welcomed as a replacement for Steamin' Demon and their Boomerang (if they close that as well).
    Relocating the entrance to the south side of the park only makes sense if the park also adds a path to eliminate the awkward dead end at Gotham City. That would put Georgia Scorcher in the very back, which would likely require a floorless conversion to keep its ridership up. If a new coaster is built in the Gotham City area, it may need to combine DDD's plot - the stadium footprint by itself is fairly small. A B&M Dive or Vekoma Tilt taking advantage of the terrain ("Penguin's Plunge", potentially) would be an interesting choice there.
    Agree that the south side of the park near Blue Hawk would be ideal for a Premier multi-launch coaster. The Southeast definitely needs one that's bigger than Ice Breaker. And Over Georgia doesn't have a standout coaster with a top speed of 55-65 mph. A custom Premier would fill that gap in their lineup perfectly.

    • @edt-ze3ke

      @edt-ze3ke Goliath's entrance is closer to the center of the park than Scorcher's.
