Oh these thoosies discovered alcohol a very long time again. I think that at this point, the goal is getting them to learn how to actually go a whole park day sober.
I went one time and there was no line in the queue house for the Dahlonega Mine Train and the ride attendant let us ride it eight times in a row😂 My neck was done in afterward.
Just rode Twisted Cyclone. They were running 2 trains and I swear the one I was on looked brand new. Like brand new everything. It rode super smooth too.
Dear Six Flags, Please invest more in SFOG, it has a really good line up and additional coasters (such as a launch coaster) could make this a stand out park. Just give us more love and stop giving everything to Fiesta Sincerely, a Georgia Native
Great to see GASM has moved out of "worst coasters" for y'all! It's a really fair point in how TCy got a brand new train and yet they aren't using it. Fun Spot was running 1 train on AFO for lunch yesterday and John himself came up to the platform to ask for 2 trains. I think it shows a level of customer focus, and more over what FSA wants to care about that six flags is taking for granted. Not that I even want to dis SFoG that much, but seriously, why did the top rides run 1 train?? And monster mansion is the GOAT of the park
Every day that I go to this park, I fight massive painful urges to refer to Great American Scream Machine as 'GASM'. When you said that right out of seemingly nowhere, I recoiled in my seat as I felt a piece of myself die. I am shocked, appalled, and somewhat impressed. You have humbled me, o great warrior.
I also went to Six Flags over Georgia after FunSpot… I went on Tuesday. Twisted Cyclone did have both trains on… Acrophobia finally opened at the end of the day. I didn’t get to ride it because I didn’t have time. I also feel the great American scream machine is so much improved. I had a good day, but it was super crowded because of spring break. I’m also pretty sure there is a maintenance issue with the second Goliath train.
Monster Mansion does have a history behind it since it used to be Tales Of The Okefenokee and Tales Of The Okefenokee was the first ever ride to have Brer Rabbit Brer Fox and Brer Bear. Also Tales Of The Okefenokee inspired Splash Mountain.
I bought season passes for both SFOG and Fun Spot. Get 4 skip the line passes at SFOG each visit so I can ride every roller coaster and hit fun spot on the drive home. Makes for a wonderful Saturday and I’ll be home before 5pm.
I remember riding journey to atlantis at seaworld orlando. Kids were on the left, adults on the right. The right side bottoming out taking on water. Was hilarious with how soaked we got before the splashdown
Looks like y’all FINALLY made it to SFOG with a crew of people that knows how to really have fun and make the most of the experience, esp on the Monster Mansion lol
3:28 NO WAY? Really? The retrack fixed the absolutely brutal jackhammering in the valleys? It's a fun ride, but the jackhammering used to literally shake my brain within my skull and give me a migraine. Wish they'd fix the brakes at the end too. Put some magnetics with friction brakes at the end 5:03 And wait, what? They removed the 3d glasses from Justice League? I always enjoyed that ride because it's nice and cool in there and is a decent dark ride. But, how does it work without 3d? It has good physical set effects but the 3d helps to tie it all together. I also really love their classic carousel. It's like 100 years old. Log Flume is solid too. Classic Arrow and I REALLY like how fast the log flume travels high up through the trees. 15:05 Yeah, we were furious one time there during Hollowscream, We wanted to leave at 5, walk to our hotel a few hundred yards away, and come back at 7-8. But they told us if we entered earlier in the day, that even with our passes, we couldn't come back in a 2nd time. Either had to stay in the park, or come after 7. No coming earlier, leaving and coming back. Similar nonsense to what you experienced.
Just wanted to say that what happened with Twisted Cyclone was similar to what had happened with Fury when I visited Carowinds on a Saturday a few weeks ago. I heard it was an issue with a sensor on a train, so they were forced to run 1 train ops. Otherwise, they'd run the usual trains. Maybe something similar with Twisted Cyclone, but then again, this is Six Flags...
Almost all of John Allen's classic woodies are front seat coasters. His old school bunny hops give air time on the crest. Riding in the back and saying it does nothing is such a disservice to the work a legendary designer.
Their website indicates that there are limited slots for pass holders and that you can reserve a spot on there, you just have to scroll down a bit. Not sure if this was added after your visit, but it is there now.
When we were looking into the event, it was listed as “first come first serve” for passholders. I interpreted that as first to be there in person… I guess they meant online with reservations. Hopefully they clear it up for the future. It’s their first time doing it so understandable there’s some bugs along the way
@@CoasterStudios Yeah, for sure. Even now - its not exactly super obvious how to make reservations for a group that all have season passes. Not a good guest experience in your situation, especially since you had talked to park staff during the day about it. Bummer, cause I would have enjoyed your review of the event, seemed like an interesting idea.
I have a soft spot for this park. Every year when private/home schools got out for the summer, my family would go to SFOG. I have a lot of precious memories at the park. My first rides on Dare Devil, Batman, Mindbender, and ultimately Goliath. I still remember my first ride on Goliath. I loved it so much that I rode it 2-3 more times afterwards. I did ride Georgia Cyclone when it was still around and I'll be honest. I'm glad that they replaced it with Twisted Cyclone because overall Georgia Cyclone was very old and very rough. I only remember one ride on Georgia Cyclone and I do remember it being on the rough side. I'm sad to see Splash Mountain go. That was one of my favorite water rides along side Thunder River. I've moved to Texas a few years back and the one regret that I have is that I never got to ride Superman Ultimate Flight before I moved. Mostly because I was either too short to ride, the ride was under maintenance, or the one time it was working I chickened out because I was scared. I probably missed out on a great ride. I miss this park greatly and I really would like to go back and relive what I consider my best childhood memories. I'd also like to bring my nephew to the park when he gets older. It was just always a tradition in my family to visit the park. I've seen a lot of videos about the fact that the parks have undergone poor management which is really disheartening to hear about. But, I've also heard that the merge between Cedar Fair and Sixflags might help save the parks. The parks can get proper management and maintenance. In recent videos, I've noticed that some of the rollercoasters need a fresh paint job. Especially Dare Devil, I remember it opening with bright red track and now it's so faded. I really hope some TLC can be properly given to these parks. I really miss this park. I don't think any other Six Flags park can truly compare to SFOG because of the fond memories the park gave me as a kid. If I go to the parks here in Texas, it's not going to be the same. The difference is that I grew up with SFOG and I've never been to any other Six Flags park. I will have a huge disconnection with the parks because I didn't grow up going to them, like I did with SFOG. Either way, I still probably will enjoy what the parks have to offer. I just will favor SFOG more because of the history I have with it.
They get the water for Thunder River straight from the Chattahoochee River aka the ChattaDOOKIE running along side the back parking lot…so that’s why it’s brown
I'm sorry, but the Great American Scream Machine was one of my favorite coasters growing up... Loved the Air Time, the Jerkiness... Everything that made it a great Coaster... Back then all the lines had long lines in the late 80's and Early 90's except early in the morning! I miss it so so much, and people who say it was bad and bumpy did not enjoy how great a coaster it was!
Six Flags Over Georgia isn't the only park with the one train problem. Magic Mountain has half of its coasters on one train too, causing a bunch of 2 hour waits even though it would be like a 20 minute wait anywhere else.
it is horrible. especially x2. one of if not the most popular coaster there which has long ass dispatches and already a long line has no business having one train
I thought the Scream Break concept was odd myself. You're also right about Twisted Cyclone, its just a pretty good coaster. It's good for casual coaster riders, and kids just getting tall enough to ride the real rides.
It's not that odd of a concept, considering that regular Haunts open up for spring break events all the time. I think it was just executed a little poorly, but it's nice to see them trying new things out.
With the Kid Flash theme, they really should have put the new kids coaster in the DC Super Friends section. Not Gotham City. Also, now that I'm later in the video: they literally opened Acrophobia the next day. I was there Sunday and they were running it all day.
The power of having a father with season passes that has the night shift is overpowered because you can visit six flags over georgia on week days. It got slightly busier but we would leave at like 2 or 3. Trust me if anyone is free for whatever reason on a week day. Tuesday or wednesday is probably the least busiest day. Really glad we had the opportunity to experiment with the Monster Mansion boat and push the limits. What a contribution to the sciences.
To the sciences? What do you mean by that? Science?
@@maxhagenauer24 We were really testing the physics of the boat with the amount of people we had in there lol.

Personally, I'm fine with all of the remaining stand-ups except Vortex. Georgia's is the smoothest/most comfortable though.
I love how the synopsis at the end of the vid was 'today was fun you should also stop by Six Flags when you come to Georgia to ride ArieForce One.'

Never had this problem at MM, usually plenty of trains to go around. Surprised by this at GA though, they are also usually pretty good with ops.
Sometimes parks run one train on their coasters because of low staffing. The more trains on the track the more staff it requires.
Right, but its weird that all their coasters were running two trains except for their two most popular ones.
