Hi there, just took my surfer dude out of the box.
Looks like Kyosho have addressed the problem of having to glue the arms, legs and head on.
They have wrapped each joint with a 15mm wide x 1mm thick strip of black neoprene tape (double wrapped)
Looks like it should do the job?

Hey Bud, It should be ok but the glue we would use to glue the rider together is the ZAP PT12 .. It will be much stronger.
I filled my guy up with expandable foam and glued it up. It's solid and takes 6ft waves with ease. Lipo upgrade is a must if you want tackle big surf. Lack of power you will get dumped and smashed.

Yeah I upgraded my motor and exc and am running ovonic air 3000 50c lipos. Not much room inside these for a decent size battery
@@JaxTellerRC very nice. I will do the motor eventually. You could do a bigger battery if you’re prepared to cut the battery bay apart. I’ve seen it done but I’m not cutting it up.

Unfortunately they haven’t improved on the original dude surfer. The materials and construction were far better on the original dude. Foam filled ABS vs hollow PVC. The metal deck brackets are way better than the lug style that came with the tragic rc Lisa.. Oh and water cool the esc if you upgrade the battery... and don’t remove the T brackets under his feet as they need to be sealed water tight... the stock seal is bad, replace the whole seal and add one under the deck too, foam on foam... recommend tilt stick controller, not a car controller... blob some grease up the steering tube to restrict water entering the main compartment if the rudder compartment floods...
