    Grease up the rudder shaft just like you'd grease up the prop shaft AND grease up the seal around the rudder compartment lid... boom, no more leaks.

    Thanks for the thought on the carbon fiber! I'll have see if I can pull that off with my extra guy. I looked at the inside. You'd seriously have to destroy the hull in that front area to move things forward. Just gonna run as is.

    You can also open up front cavity to put receiver, and esc forward, then push motor all the way forward to move CG more forward rather than adding weight. At least on older version this works well. There are longer motor mounts that move motor forward and allows for longer battery. Use carbon fiber on body of dude.

    I bought two in Australia and they were both missing the antenna tube rubber tip to prevent water pushing down it.
    I siliconed mine on and just poke the antenna wire up the tube as I fit the lid.
    Still working out better seal methods as well, but, ultimately, I will use hatch tape.

      @effinhaoli808 7 лет назад

      Also glue the straw to the underside of hatch or it will fall off.

      Mine has a rubber grommet that passes through the hatch. It's a very tight fit, so, I hope it won't leak.......soon find out!

      Trust me it will come out

      I'll put silicone on it to hold it in.
      It'll be sweet.

    Can you tell me please where to get the metal prop and size. Great video

      Hello. If I recall it was on eBay in a hop up kit. Not sure on the size. Good luck

    Can you provide a list of the parts you changed and where you got them? I just got mine this past Oct. and would love to make it a serious better than out of the box deal. How do you figure out the size of the brass prop, etc.? Want to understand the replacement motor, why? (my first weekend out of the box worked awesome!). But, I would like it to be top notch. Where did you get the water coolant hose? Diameter, etc.? Just would enjoy the "how to" with more details so that I can re-create what you've done.

    mine broke his leg,arm,his neck,foot cup.i used 2 part marine epoxied every seam of his body.and repainted his body.stock motor lasted 6mins and fried.another brushed moror exploded and pieces of it melted thru hull floor and he basically was on fire.
    now he is castle brushless system .also added weights too the front due too epoxy on his body .rear cap i had issues with also and silicone and let dry over night and roll excess clear silicone with my thumb following day.if he wasent so much damn fun he be ina dumpster long ago....

      Hi, can I ask you what the cost was for your set up? You did a great job and can a novice who is meticulous do this?

    Worked great for the first 3 go outs. Then the steering stopped. Propeller works fine. Steering just stopped working. Batteries all good. Always washed with fresh water. Any suggestions?

    • @kreika294
      @kreika294  2 года назад

      Check and see if your steering servo is still plugged in and working. See if anything might be blocking the servo arm from moving. Pop off the circular kyosho cap on the tail. See if rudder steering horn is on. Maybe slide the rudder out and clean if sand or debris got stuck in the rudder shaft. GL

    Did you break apart your guy to spray foam in all the cavities? My latest fix is shoe goo those leg joints overkill style.

    • @effinhaoli808
      @effinhaoli808 7 лет назад

      Yea the glue on the seams is futile, break carefully on the seams. The marine GOOP is made by shoe goo

    So the esc is water cooled but not the motor ? How does this set up work with the nickel battery ?

    • @kreika294
      @kreika294  2 года назад

      The water lines go through the esc and motor. I think I was using a lipo not nimh? Been so long I don’t remember.

    How does your brushless setup work? Do you like the speed, I'm trying a 20T brushed motor, let u know how it is , waiting for wind to calm down.

    • @kreika294
      @kreika294  7 лет назад

      Fast enough it skips. Just the steering at speeds is so dicey. Instant full turn. Haven't used it in awhile. My little summer break spot is all rocks during the winter.

      I'm kreika, thanks bud!!! Question, is the 60amp enough for the HobbyKing brushless 3660SL 3180kv motor??
      I really appreciate your help and I know I'm copying your setup (:-) )....FYI, I did give you full credit for the setup in my posts today in the RC Groups thread for the Kyo Sufer 3...

      Hi Kreika (Not I'm)

    • @kreika294
      @kreika294  7 лет назад

      I've found the setup I have is plenty good for catching up too waves passing the waves and of course flying over them. It goes fast enough it'll skip on the water. The steering is very sensitive. A slight turn and it totally snaps around. Gonna have to look for your post on your build. I really wanted to upgrade that solid shaft to a flex shaft.
