dude your channel is great love the content and editing style. just overall good vibes
In the world of $3k welders, $2k plasma cutters, fancy lifts and mods.. I enjoy the simplicity of your channel. Thanks for it!
I would love to have some of these. Not happening any time soon though 😂
You can build almost anything you can imagine with a cheap welder, an angle grinder, and a drill.
Thanks you for being so detailed about the shock measurements and mounting location. I've always been curious about how you know
Hey man I saw your XJ at KOH and I was trying to find you but I couldn’t sadly but I love your jeep man 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks dude! Wish we met up!
looked really cool. the rubber innertube seal was a great idea.
Thank you! It’s been working great, no complaints!
Dude love the videos keep doing what you are doing. You have definitely inspired me to begin my diy mods.
Hey get it done!
Dude you always seem like you have a great attitude, super stoked 24/7 ! That’s awesome 😎
These videos are so sick, keep up the good work!
Yes!! Planning out a similar setup. Great to see some content to go off of 👊

fire. I have a 3rd gen 4runner with a minimal lift. Defiantly want to try long travel in the future
Good stuff, love your vids.
Love the new video dude
love ur vids dude so entertaining lol
Im not even an offroad guy but I do enjoy some garage fab. You definitely put some fears to rest on the ideas that this stuff cant be done with minimal tools. NJ, GW.
Thing is gonna be a beast cant wait for part 2
Part two soon !
Keep this up and I might have to pick up the jeep currently residing in my neighbors pasture.... 😄
Another great video bro

Can't wait for part 2! Is that a '77 Z28 I see in the background?
Happy days a new video

LEFT HANDED HELL YEA!!!!!!!!
The few , the proud!
Dude i saw your jeep being haul last monday. We were driving from LA back to Stockton. It was really cool to see it in person!
It must’ve been Sunday, I was on my way back from KOH!
smashed like. dropped a comment. watched every ad.
doing my part to offset the cost of those hockey pucks.
but no seriously, looks great so far.
Thanks my man! We struggling for the ads here
I agree. 4 inches is a huge amount. 5:51
Some would say too much!
Hell yeah
Damn I'm buyin jeep 😜💪
“It’s fake money” 😂 the shocks look great, nice work!
Thank you!
How are the shock tabs strong enough? Do shocks not have much force on them when compressed?
Use a shifter boot to cover the hole from the shock when the old one wears out I think it will be a good look
That’s not a bad idea
Buen video ,muy bien hecho ese trabajo,te felicito, saludos desde🇦🇷👏👏👏👏👍,soy fans de Toyota esperando mas videos👍
Thank you for watching! More coming soon!
I love this at home work and I love the vids keep it up. Also is the welding self taught?
Yeah it is! I’m still learning, focusing on tig welding some more
What are you doing with new taco?
Add some Rusty’s fender flares on it man and it would look super dope
Yeah those are sweet!
Need to put some Deaver springs and coils on it.
Are they that much better? This setup seems pretty decent so far
You've inspired me to look at xj's after selling my bronco! Gonna go look at an 01 up in Bakersfield this weekend, anything I should look out for? Keep up the great content!
Hmmm if it’s a 01 they are prone to cracked heads . If it’s been overheated, stay away.
Look for rust. Especially on the underneath on the so called frame rails. Surface rust is normal but if you see holes and stuff falling off stay away unless you want to make it a buggy. And yes the 00 and 01 head is known to crack. They also have a low pinion Dana 30 that is weaker than the high pinion from the later 90’s. Apparently 97 through 99 were the best years. But in 2023 I’d just stay away from anything rusty. Everything but the body is highly available, fairly cheap, and easy to work on.
TTB Broncos are a way better prerunner platform
@@GraalEraHelpers mine was a 79, last year for solid front axle. I don't plan on prerunning though, I just wanted a nice daily driver that I could take on off-road trails every once in a while. The bronco was awesome but living in southern California and having a truck with no AC sucked! Lol
@@GraalEraHelpers mostly everything is a better prerunner platform haha
Another well made video! Thanks for all the great content Mike 🍻
Thank you!
Lmao dude I was just thinking that I didn’t came across you at KOH! 🍻
I wish you did!
@@mikes4x4garage dude! By the way, the xj it’s coming up in pimp status!
Tried getting King bypasses exactly like that (2.5x12) on the front of my XJ… Just wouldn’t fit with stock width axles. The tires or brakes or frame kept reaching out and grabbing bypass tubes or the reservoir. Thought about putting remote reservoirs on them…
Ended up just going regular 12” smooth bodies like you have out back. They work really well. Not crazy, but well enough for most anything I’d want to trust a Dana 30 with, truss or no.
If you’re dead set on using them, I’d keep in the back of your head that you might have to send them off to get remote reservoirs on them.
Edit: NM, saw the end. You got them to fit. Any clearance issues?
Yes many clearance issues, vid on that coming tomorrow
@@mikes4x4garage Look forward to seeing what you did and if it worked. :)
How do you like those bumps? I’ve been trying to decide on those or air bumps.
They worked great!!
More impressive work! Can't wait to see how it does at KOH. But... What's the deal with the Camaro?? 😁
That’s my friends project, it’s a fun car for sure!
“It’s fake money you can just keep buying”
Ah Mike is a fellow credit abuser, a man of culture and class
Ah yes 🫡👋🏻
now you have to get another set of kings for the Tacoma
That would be good
They need to sponsor me haha
My guy has been DIY since he was a tike w bikes 😂
Haha yes actually back then too 😂
8:30 and I quote, "six inches of shaft showing"
You like that one huh?!
@@mikes4x4garage haha. I had a laugh.
Love the jeep bro. My 95 xj sits in the garage waiting for me to get to work on her.
Are those Hockey Pucks?
They sure are!!
Sponsored by Miller Lite!
What brakes did nbthe 8.25 are you running?
They’re from a liberty. It’s a direct swap.
@@mikes4x4garage what year
@@mikes4x4garage what year? Did you have to do anything with the master cylinder?
8:25 that's what she said
no way this mans used a bridge to flex the suspension 🤣🤣
Are you a mechanic full time?
Pretty much yeah
Was your rear bumper custom made?
It’s a FAO bumper
@@mikes4x4garage Good looking bumper for the tuck and fold fender. I’ll need to reach out to him on IG, thanks
First
Duuuude... How much do you charge to do that to my XJ?
At least 11
almost first
Almost
Dude, what happened to your Toyota?
Dude , where have you been?
The old Toyota were is that at?
Just put 4 bucket seats in it
Stock seats are so comfy though
You left out the most important parts! The case of Miller Lite.
😂😂😂
1 ton swap it already
Nah
Don’t waste your money with the Dana 30s telling you bro it’s a waste of time
it’s been holding up just fine 😂
I don’t want to be that guy to tell you what to do with your own build but I would suggest getting some 1 ton super duty axles and stretching your wheel base couple inches
America 🇺🇸 💪🏼🤙🏼
