Hello A Fellow Swiftie here to give a little bit of background. This song is a parody of what the media portraited of her in the past. That she is clingy and falls in love fast with men. And has a lot of money and has a thousand mansions. But then she leaves them and makes their lifes impossible and then she runs and falls in love with other man. She thought that was such and interesting character and wrote a song about it. She talks about it in the interview of the presentation of the album 1989 at the grammys ruclips.net/video/7VenlV7Qxak/видео.html She talks about it at 8:06
Her reaction was "Oh, man...the tabloid me is a real bummer", quickly followed by "I can definitely write a song about this character!" And that is why I love my Tay-Tay.
This song and video is a satire of what the toxic media always lying about her. She thought that was an interesting character for a song and making fun of that. It is not real about her.
Hi, I just discovered your video, as someone already told you, this song is a satire, the tabloids were always making up stories, so a song/MV is born. Also, the first guy's car was CGI, no cars were harmed in the making of this music video. Talor has been in a stable relationship for the past 6-plus years with Joe Alwyn, he is an English actor. Since Blank Space which is from her 1989 album, she has since recorded 5 more albums "Reputation", "Lover", "folklore", "evermore", and "Midnights" which was just released Oct. 2022, and between folklore and evermore (during the pandemic), she also re-recorded 2 of her first 6 albums that got sold out from under her. She is re-recording them to regain her music. The girl does not sleep, she also wrote the soundtrack "Carolina" for the movie "Where the Crawdads Sing." Her albums "folklore" and "evermore" has a lot of interesting songs on them, you might find them interesting. PS: Taylor did not capitalize her album's title and song titles folklore and evermore. One more comment, while she was laying down at a picnic when things went from white to black was when he was texting another girl, I didn't know whether you caught that.
Thanks for the info Violet. I didn't know any of that and I certainly did not mean to say that she had borderline. Hey, I'm a fan. Me and the kids have been known to sing "You need to calm down" in the car! I appreciate you commenting and watching!
@@danielchu I knew you were following the script of the person she was portraying. Taylor is a genius at clapping back at the media. When Taylor receives lemons she makes lemonade. Henceforth, why we have "Look What You Made Me Do", she spilled the tea, especially on Kanye.
Dude, you hardly reference the actual lyrics at all. I don't think you listen, and you're a therapist? You always stop in the middle of a line. Showing exactly how little you care what she's saying. That is so weird.
Yeah I was more commenting on the depiction of Borderline through what was happening on screen. But I do feel like the lyrics go right along with what I am saying. Disagree?

I've been a swiftie since teardrops on my guitar and I approve this statement. 👌
I appreciate the background Jose! I wouldn't call myself a Swiftie but I definitely love her music. Wait..am I a Swiftie!?
