"The idea you had of me, who was she? A never-needy, ever-lovely jewel, whose shine reflect on you." Is SUCH a great line and is definitely one of my favorite things she's ever written. It is poetic and brutal and cuts straight to the core of that type of man who seeks out beautiful young women to make them look good, but as soon as they start acting "needy" they're out the door. I've always loved All Too Well, but that line really elevated it even more which I didn't think possible.

“You kept me like a secret, but I kept you like an oath” everyone says they were only together for 3 months but this almost reads to me like they were together longer but he kept it secret. 😢
I'm confused by this line now that I think about it. Like, she said he kept her like a secret but everyone knew they were dating, I mean he introduced her to his family and friends, there were pictures of them together from very early on in the relationship, if we asume the scarf from the song is the one she is wearing on that photo and she had that scarf the very first week like she says in the song and ended up losing it after they went to her sisters house, then it doesn't leave much space for the theory about them dating for longer if we consider the time frame described in the song and the fact that Jake was photographed wearing that scarf some time later. So I don't really understand what she means when she says he kept her like a secret and "nobody had to know"
So i think it had to have started before they “announced it” and made it public. Maybe he just was saying we’re just friends for awhile meanwhile the feelings for her were real and continuing to get stronger. And she knew he liked her. Spending time with her, as her friend, knowing he was interested in her. He kept her around….secretly. So like a secret meanwhile she kept him like an oath. She fell hard for him. The trip to Maggie’s house she mentions it was fall. Fall in upstate New York starts in September. The “very first week”… there’s no way. They had to have spent time together enough before they drove up to meet his family. Then after that trip they split up and he called her back up after “3 months in the grave” of the relationship being over to try again ya da ya da ya da then he no showed on her bday.
And also….it’s said the scarf is symbolic to her virginity. Sounds like while on that trip she gave it up to him. The next line after the oath line is sacred prayer and we’d swear to remember it all to well. Like they talked about it and how much it meant to her for her to give herself to him and to him he yes’d her into bed then once he got what he wanted he decided she’s too needy and not what he wants. So the drive back down to the city she was sitting there smitten and envisioning their future desperate for him to turn to her and say he loves her and he was thinking of his way out.
Also like she was 19 but she mentions turning 21 and wanting him there and we are never getting back together also suggests that somehow he might have been still feeding her feelings in some ways
The line "If we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine" and "I'll get older but your lovers stay my age" hints that he continues to treat the new women (after Taylor) like how he treated her. This is how emotional abusive partners are, they continue to remain the same.
And that their age was never really the problem in the first place! If it was, he wouldn't keep on dating people much younger than him. So whatever problem she had with Taylor (probably that she didn't live up to the idealized version of her he had), he couldn't even be honest about it, he used the age as an excuse for dumping her.
I am a 73-year-old man. This song touches my heart and reminds me so much of several relationships. (One in particular.) And just of loss and longing. I cry to this song. I remember it all too well. I might be ok but I am not fine at all. My tears help me heal and know how much I was hurt. I was there.

when i think of the crumpeled piece of paper line I think of how in like my fourth grade class our teacher had us take a piece of paper that was great and crumple it and then try to flatin it back up but it never fully goes back to straight so I think like those like words and feelings always stay with you even if you don't want them to.
In elementary school they did a contest with a few students to see who could get all the toothpaste out of the tube. They then asked them to put it back in. It was then a segway to explain it's easy to let hurtful words out of your mouth but much difficult to take them back.
The most chilling thing to me is that John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal were less than a year apart. She barely had time to blink after the first slimeball, and then here comes Jacob with his maple lattes and his dumb keychain. So much empathy for Baby Taylor, and so much awe for her songwriting ability. ❤❤❤
"when I was an old cardigan" My mom always used to say "don't become the old shoe under the bed to your man".... that's when a man is completely taking you for granted I think there was a man taking her for granted, ignoring her, neglecting her. He came along and said "hey you're special, you're not JUST special, but you're my favorite" and he pulled her out from under the bed.
All Too Well (10 Minute Version) is one of her best songs ever, in my opinion, the lyrics, the production, the way you can just feel how she was feeling during this relationship. everything is just wonderful and beautiful.
This song kills me. It's just about being sure - probably incorrectly - that it's really love, and that he's just SCARED by the intensity of his feelings ("I was there, it was rare", "maybe I asked too much", "maybe this thing was a masterpiece 'til you tore it all up, running scared"). He wasn't scared, he just wasn't invested in the relationship. He didn't call it love, because it wasn't for him. Ugh. This kills me, because I dated a version of this guy. I was so sure that he cared but just couldn't or wouldn't admit it - it was too hard and painful to accept that he just didn't care. He acted like an asshole because he is. "Just between us did the love affair maim you too?". Nope. It didn't. That's hard to accept.
I kinda disagree, I think that he actually was very invested and maybe did see a future with her, but he was insecure and a bit of a coward who ended up self sabotaging and destroying her in the process. He wasn't self aware enough to admit that he was in love and also not brave enough to do what he needed to do to help the relationship grow and probably that's the reason behind the rage she lets seeps through in her voice, because it probably was leading up to be a masterpiece but then he ended up destroying everything. I've never gotten the feeling that the moments she remembers were fake, after all he did take her to meet his family, she got to meet his friends, they did have all those beautiful moments together, so I don't think he was faking his feelings for her, at least early on. And I think you can kinda tell when someone is faking their feelings, gaslighting you into believing they love you when actually they don't. If not in the moment, at least retrospectively and I don't get that feeling from the song. The feeling I get from the new lyrics is that they had something good but he was too much of a coward to fight for it and do what needed to be done
@@xgise I didn’t say - and don’t think - that the memories were “fake”. I think he’s too emotionally immature to have a real relationship. It’s overly charitable to think he was “scared”.
This is correct. He had an endless stream of attractive young females who would love to be with him, and he wasn't as serious about this relationship as she was. This was her first serious relationship and it wounded her, but he moved past it with little effort.
Yeah but you see we have other songs of him too, like we are never getting back together which tells me that he did return multiple times. And this points to strong emotion combined with immaturity. So, I too believe that writing these songs nowadays she wouldn’t be sure of his emotions had they been fake. Probably he hit her up again multiple times and she was the one to ultimately reject him after what he put her through back then. That’s why she wrote bet you think about me. Probably she knows if he does or not. But who knows? Probably he is a little bit shallow to admit that or to work on it.
I'm a writer and it surprised me that so many people miss the "fu#! the patriarchy" line. It's not the key fob that says "fu#! the patriarchy." "Fu#! the patriarchy" is what he says to her as he tosses her the car keys, indicating that she should drive instead of him--in opposition of the idea that when in a couple, the man usually drives. We can take it even further and say that the keys and the car and the act of driving are metaphors for the relationship itself. He's telling her, "you take the lead." And even further, the keychain ends up on the ground ... She doesn't catch the keys, meaning: she doesn't take the lead. She then immediately realizes they're always leaving town ... That's not her idea it's his. He wants to keep her a secret. And he's definitely not giving her control of the relationship.
YES, YES, YES!! That's it exactly! I keep trying to tell people that. That he throws the keys and he's saying in a way "F**K the patriarchy by having her drive instead of him. When, as you said, it's usually the man driving. There's no key chain that says that literally. You are so totally correct there that I had to respond! Thank you!
I think it could have a double interpretation, as a meaning hasn’t been officially confirmed, because a fuck the patriarchy keychain was sold, people believe it means he tossed her a keychain that said it, others believe he said it while tossing her a keychain. i think both meanings are valid and make sense.
Replying the next summer, I think this is where the curse of being a very successful woman not trying to top a man but that's how he takes it because of fragile ego or whatever comes into play in that situation. I try to not think of it as a curse because there are several very successful women artists I can think of who manage a decent relationship with regular guys on the long term, but she was a kid when she wrote this, and honestly so was he. No man is really grown at 28/29 and no girl is a woman at 19/20/21. Analyzing it as adults ten + years later, or for me 3+ decades, we see things differently now. So does TS. But I'm so glad she produced the long version, it's an amazing slice of life art piece.
The outro is like an incantation or hymn & uses the words ‘sacred prayer’. This relationship affected her on a profound & spiritual level, and she felt utterly bereft & confused by how easily he could discard something that mattered so much to her. She is almost using this incantation to remind herself it was real & her feelings & responses were valid, as he obviously minimised the whole thing. We can all relate to those relationships where one person gives their all & the other has one foot out of the door (whilst performatively giving their all too). It’s deceptive & damaging & creates huge trust issues.
@@XxBloggs it is both. There are actually photos of him wearing one of her scarfs after their breakup (or an identical one to photos of her wearing it while they were together)... it could be argued maybe she wore his then but given the lyrics I doubt it. All you have to do is Google both of their names with scarf & there are plenty of pics with dates & everything.
You should do an analysis on “sweet nothings” from Midnights. Such a peaceful (truly peaceful, finally) song and hopefully means she is finally secure and happy
the specific imagery she chooses is reminiscent of the details that speringsteen weaves into a song that we all can relate to .. the cold / a sister's house / a scarf / autumn leaves / being upstate / small town streets / red lights / snow / downstairs ... you get the picture .... without thinking each one triggers a feeling and an emotional response
I think we should talk about the " 'Til we were dead and gone and buried, check the pulse and come back swearing, it's the same after three months in the grave." It shows how they felt, especially her, after the relationship was over. She was dead and buried and he used to check the pulse, to find out about her feelings, and then swear about how this whole thing ended up. Taylor, also, says that for three months, as long as the relationship lasted, she was in a grave, representing her falling out and how he and the relationship somehow ruined her.
Thank you for reacting to All to well!!! I love this song so much and I love your videos. You help me understand the meaning of Taylor’s songs and make me think of her songs in a totally different way :)
When Taylor says "Just between us" it has a double meaning. It fits for her ex lover - but - "Just between us" is also Taylor calling to anyone who is listening to the song. And those lyrics make the song intimate between her and the listener. 'Just between us did the love affair maim you" now the conversation becomes whether the love affair we had maimed us and Taylor won't tell a soul about it.
I think when she says 'I am a soldier who is returning half her weight' means that now she is moving on. When they were in relationship, like you said, it felt like a war and now the war is over and she is returning the armor that had been weighting her all this time.
I would not go back to those younger years of my life when a failed relationship could crush me this much. But I can admit that those were very bittersweet moments and this song just brings me there.
Twin flames tend to get mixed up with soul mates Your twin flame is not who you’re meant to be with. A twin flame is someone who tends to show up seemingly out of no where but you two instantly click. It burns bright and passionate FAST. But like all flames, especially a candle, it eventually goes out. The purpose is a twin flame is to leave you with a lasting impact in life and teach both a major life lesson ❤️
I’m not much of a talker so I’m not one to comment much but I felt compelled to say thanks .Yes you’re reacting to Taylor’s lyrics, but you share so much of yourself with us in the process and that takes a lot of courage, vulnerability and strength. ❤️
I feel that I remember it all too well is an underrated line cause he gaslighted her so bad that she has to remind herself I was there it was rare I remember it all too well. Like was it even real because he is acting like it never happened.
That's exactly it! Narcissist behaviors...they tell you..."That never happened" to try to make you think you're crazy. No - I REMEMBER IT ALL TOO WELL!!!
I’m sure others have talked about this but this was her first serious relationship after John Mayer. Imagine how devastating that year had to be for her.
I think the J. M. relationship is emotionally tied to the J. G. relationship. There were numerous similarities between the men. I think the J. G. break up was also the start of her religious deconstruction. So she experienced falling in love with J. M. who ripped her heart out and used her. Her heart gets rescued by attention from J. G. who is really the same guy in a different body. All happening at an age her parents likely married. So, she believed she would marry. At 20-21, you are really just starting to create/discover who you are as a human being. These guys took her heart, her innocence, and her religion during that process.
I feel like the end of this song where she for like 30 seconds keep saying "wind in my hair", "down the stairs" , and follow it with "I was there, I was there" is like she is trying to convince herself she's not imagining it like "it happened, i remember it". And that's why she ask him "Do you remember it all too well", like does he remember and is he affected by the memories aswell? Cause the way he seems unbothered is making her question her self. Just like in Tolerate it "If its all in my head tell me now". And its the worst feeling. Knowing deep in your core that it was real, that happened but the other one walks on in their life like nothing ever happened.. 💔
Just watched the would've could've should've react vid and OMG the scarf is her "girlhood" for sure! "Kept me like a secret" gods I can relate to that! He actually had me convinced it was a good thing he cheated on all his girlfriends with me, like it proved his love for me and how special I was to him.
He threw the keys down in the dirt- he was fighting with someone on the phone about the paparazzi finding them even in upstate NY and getting pictures- you see the references in the film.
The intro of the 10 minute version has music that sounds like it is from her song Don't You. I cry every time I hear that song. I think the two songs are related because it's about not getting back together. What do you think?
Some lines link this song to the 19th song in Midnight. And the age of the protagonist: 19 at the start, 21 at the end. Same wound, different approach. Thank you, Taylor, your truth is deeeper and connects us all.
I LOVE the connection that she makes between this song and The Moment I Knew. It also connects to Sad, Beautiful, Tragic cause of her use of the term 'love affair' "What a Sad, Beautiful, Tragic love affair" "Just between us, did the love affair maim you too?" So cool.
I don’t think so…if you look into twin flames, a lot of people believe that age gaps are common and a runner and a chaser are common. I believe her mentioning it has more to do with that and the kind of connects she believed they had at the time
i think connected, but not necessarily a reference. the concept of the twin flame references soulmates more, but she did also refer to them as “twin fire signs” so its fits as a connection.
They dated for 3 months. So the “after 3 months in the grave” line I think refers to the length of the relationship and the toxicity of it and effect it had on Taylor
i love this song personally because i am able to validate my shadow of codependency and "needy" and clingy. and realising that im one step closer to secure attachment!!! yeayyy
My daughters 3 year boyfriend broke up with her on her 21st birthday. As a mom, your heart breaks when your daughter has her heart broken on one of the “big” moments in their life. But, she’s met someone great and he made sure t9 treat her to the best Birthdsy ever. Spent 1100 on Lana tickets and took her to Florida, got her friends to write things sweet about her and had them in a little bag for her. Just a gem of a man!
A twin flame is like your soul has been split in half and you've met the person who contains the other half of your soul. Whereas a soulmate is just somebody that makes your soul feel at home and you have a lot of the same likes and things like that. So neither twin flames nor soulmates have to be romantic in nature it could be a friend a sibling anybody.
@@MermaidCore_ Twin flame doesn't mean fire sign... has nothing to do with it. Many ancient cultures including the Romans, thought your life was like a candle lit within your chest and that you could be killed if someone ran up to you and blew it out. Flame was another word for the soul, life.
I think it would be amazing to see you react to the All Too Well short film followed by the I Bet You Think About Me music video. They take you so much deeper into the story back when Taylor wrote All too well - and then to today.
I live upstate too! but definitely not near the city; think wine and ivy league :) this song is so much fun to listen to here in the fall, it's a perfect match for fall in upstate NY! which is funny because it's generally a very sad song. When it first came out I listened to this song every day on my walk to the bus stop to go to work which coincidentally was a 10 minute walk. I love hearing your thoughts on her songs!
These lyrics are the best part of the song "Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it I'd like to be my old self again But I'm still trying to find it After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone"
The subtlety of the repeated "I was there" throughout the song almost to convince herself, "we were both there, I was there, I remember it even if you want to pretend it didn't happen." 💔 Makes me think there was gaslighting or she was made to feel overdramatic and that their connection wasn't as profound as it was, and she's saying "the two of us know what truly went down."
I discovered your channel like two hours ago and I love it so much already!!! When you’re done with Taylor, perhaps you could check out some Conan Gray, Sabrina Carpenter or Gabrielle Aplin, I think their songs are just up your alley
I love it that there is a therapist Swifty. My therapist doesn't get any of my pop references, and it takes all my language skills to describe what I need to communicate. "...it reminds you of innocence, and it smells like me." The sister said there was no scarf left, so we artists use a lot of creative license but I've always believed there really was a red scarf she lost. Maybe that's because of the closing scene in the short film. FWIW, I'm crocheting a red scarf as a talisman to remind me to hold onto myself.
After listening to would've, could've, should've do we not think that the red scarf in all too well is a metaphor for her virginity? I think it could've been either one of them
Alot of love songs are about Tony and I but we have been soulmates for a least 4 lifetimes and they've kept us from getting married. I remember being bonnie and clyde I remember halloweentown I remember buffy the vampire slayer, I remember burning as a witch at Washington school. There's so many meanings to this. Most important thing is we've been trying to protect the amendments and get tesla the credit they deserve. Not the damn trumps
“Crumbled up piece of paper lying here” - back to John mayar calling her a “paper doll” -> emotional abuse lasting b/c the relationship w JG was not far after JM
i’m 17:01 how did you not write this lyric a few years ago because she would only know his lover stay his age overtime. So maybe she just added it. in 2022
Given that Taylor has said that she and Kelce dated for a bit and that the chiefs game was not the first date like everyone presumed. I do not think they dated for three months. There is too much in the song for such a short period of time. Given that he was keeping her like a secret, I think the paparazzi finally caught on at some point and that became the "first date". And the scarf is literal. She came out and said it was metaphorical because John Mayer sued her for Dear John. She won that case but is not gonna want to take a chance with Gyllenhaal filing a lawsuit. She is very smart.
I love now you picked up on the lyric “made me your own” and equated it to the scarf. I took the made me your own to be loss of her innocence as well. ❤😢
I love how brutal this song is too. She puts these guys (probably more than just Jake) on blast for basically dismissing how she felt and her worth (e.g. thinking she’s just immature due to her age so they bail after a couple months of leading her on).
Hi Andrea, I actually had that in the video, that I believed it was her virginity and it may have happened at the sisters house but I cut it out because for some reason, it made me feel bad to point that even though it is my first instinct. What do you think? Should I have kept it in?
@@mendwithmere I agree that it's a bit icky to speculate or talk about someone else's virginity! I don't blame you for taking it out. I only mentioned it because she has strongly alluded to the this, and I missed that when I heard the song. And it's actually a beautiful metaphor! And it also explains a lot about why a relatively short relationship impacted her in such a strong way.
I used to think so too, but then I listened to the "took my girlhood" reference in Would've could've should've, and it seems that she lost it to John Mayer 🤔

when i think of the crumpeled piece of paper line I think of how in like my fourth grade class our teacher had us take a piece of paper that was great and crumple it and then try to flatin it back up but it never fully goes back to straight so I think like those like words and feelings always stay with you even if you don't want them to.
I love this! I never thought of that. Thank you for explaining.🙌

here comes Jacob with his maple lattes and his dumb keychain is the best beat thing I've ever heard. Thank you!
This song is a playbook of what love bombing is all about in a relationship with a narcissist. Thanks for doing this video ❤
The song about her 21st birthday that J*ke missed was "The Moment I Knew"
"when I was an old cardigan"
My mom always used to say "don't become the old shoe under the bed to your man".... that's when a man is completely taking you for granted
I think there was a man taking her for granted, ignoring her, neglecting her.
You can tell it still hurts when she sings this song 🥺
And he's definitely not giving her control of the relationship.
wrong. lyrics arent put in quotes and grammatically doesnt make sense
@@user-sn2cx7fb5w what do you mean "wrong" 💀 thats quite literally what it means, even in the short film
The scarf reference is literal and metaphorical.
It is JUST a metaphor. It was never ever literal.
@@WildeMermaid I know Taylor said it was a metaphor, but I really think the scarf is real based on the pics I’ve seen!
I think we should talk about the " 'Til we were dead and gone and buried, check the pulse and come back swearing, it's the same after three months in the grave."
It shows how they felt, especially her, after the relationship was over.
That's how I interpret it too
She actually has spoken out about having an eating disorder
I would not go back to those younger years of my life when a failed relationship could crush me this much. But I can admit that those were very bittersweet moments and this song just brings me there.
Twin flames tend to get mixed up with soul mates
Your twin flame is not who you’re meant to be with.
These guys took her heart, her innocence, and her religion during that process.
i will never get tired of your content ily mere
You’re channel just came up,on my recommendations. Really enjoying your reactions, edits, and commentary ❤
you remind me so much of my therpist it’s so comforting
Finally someone talks about the verse "Just between us did the love affair maim you too?" 😢 I love that line
Can you do illicit affairs next !!?
omg seconded!!!
Yesss! One of my favorites!!!
This is one of my favorites!
The intro of the 10 minute version has music that sounds like it is from her song Don't You. I cry every time I hear that song. I think the two songs are related because it's about not getting back together. What do you think?
I cry almost every time this song comes on
Some lines link this song to the 19th song in Midnight. And the age of the protagonist: 19 at the start, 21 at the end. Same wound, different approach. Thank you, Taylor, your truth is deeeper and connects us all.
No, she was 20/21???
I LOVE the connection that she makes between this song and The Moment I Knew. It also connects to Sad, Beautiful, Tragic cause of her use of the term 'love affair'
"What a Sad, Beautiful, Tragic love affair"
"Just between us, did the love affair maim you too?"
So cool.
Love your reactions/ analysis. Would love to see you react to the video sometime too 😊 Thank you for taking the time
The twin flame reference is also about them both being Sagittarius
I don’t think so…if you look into twin flames, a lot of people believe that age gaps are common and a runner and a chaser are common. I believe her mentioning it has more to do with that and the kind of connects she believed they had at the time
Twin flame references separated soul mates. The love that burns you the deepest.
She literally said it in 'State of Grace'-'Just twin fire signs, four blue eyes'.@@tiff5756
i think connected, but not necessarily a reference. the concept of the twin flame references soulmates more, but she did also refer to them as “twin fire signs” so its fits as a connection.
Y'all really do believe anything. No means no, not chase me against my will. @@tiff5756
They dated for 3 months. So the “after 3 months in the grave” line I think refers to the length of the relationship and the toxicity of it and effect it had on Taylor
Please, react to The Moment I Knew, it sheds more light on what happened at the birthday party.
Loved this reaction video! Great job!
You should watch the short film it has a great fight scene that I'd love to hear you break down
i love this song personally because i am able to validate my shadow of codependency and "needy" and clingy. and realising that im one step closer to secure attachment!!!
Just a gem of a man!
taylor swifts new album midnights out on Oct 21st make sure you buy and stream 😊👏🏻
pleaseee react to Dear John, for me its even sadder than all too well, when she dated John she was 19 and he was 32
A twin flame is like your soul has been split in half and you've met the person who contains the other half of your soul. Whereas a soulmate is just somebody that makes your soul feel at home and you have a lot of the same likes and things like that. So neither twin flames nor soulmates have to be romantic in nature it could be a friend a sibling anybody.
Sagittarius are fire signs. Taylor and Jake are both Sagittarius (December)
@@MermaidCore_ Twin flame doesn't mean fire sign... has nothing to do with it. Many ancient cultures including the Romans, thought your life was like a candle lit within your chest and that you could be killed if someone ran up to you and blew it out. Flame was another word for the soul, life.
The music video of this 10 min version is great!
I think it would be amazing to see you react to the All Too Well short film followed by the I Bet You Think About Me music video. They take you so much deeper into the story back when Taylor wrote All too well - and then to today.
Would love to see you tackle Mad Woman
I live upstate too! but definitely not near the city; think wine and ivy league :) this song is so much fun to listen to here in the fall, it's a perfect match for fall in upstate NY! which is funny because it's generally a very sad song. When it first came out I listened to this song every day on my walk to the bus stop to go to work which coincidentally was a 10 minute walk. I love hearing your thoughts on her songs!
These lyrics are the best part of the song "Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it
I'd like to be my old self again
But I'm still trying to find it
After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own
Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone"
Yes! Please do the movie also
The subtlety of the repeated "I was there" throughout the song almost to convince herself, "we were both there, I was there, I remember it even if you want to pretend it didn't happen." 💔 Makes me think there was gaslighting or she was made to feel overdramatic and that their connection wasn't as profound as it was, and she's saying "the two of us know what truly went down."
Ok so if they first were rumored together when she was 19 and he didn’t come to her 21st bday they DEF had a thing longer than 3 months
No, she was 20/21???
I discovered your channel like two hours ago and I love it so much already!!! When you’re done with Taylor, perhaps you could check out some Conan Gray, Sabrina Carpenter or Gabrielle Aplin, I think their songs are just up your alley
❤️❤️thank you so much ❤️❤️
GIRL I M HERE FOR IT
I love it that there is a therapist Swifty.
I think the twin flame lyric was about them both being fire signs. You know flame/fire? Also saw this in someone elses comment
Saggitarius
Again OMG all your reactions are The best! I m here from brazil on my knees asking YOU to react “emails i cant sand” from Sabrina please love u
Please do happiness. One of my faves on evermore
She never confirmed it, but the scarf is a metaphore for her virginity. That's why it's red, that's why he still has it and it will ever be that way.
What does red have to do with that?
Not trying to to be rude just asking a question
@@4ever-a-Swiftie well, blood is red, isn't it?
When she references her birthday as a sad day in other songs, I can’t help but to think it’s because of Jake, in this song
I read a theory that the Manuscript is about this song and relationship and how she then wrote and directed the short film.
Can you do happiness by Taylor?? :)
After listening to would've, could've, should've do we not think that the red scarf in all too well is a metaphor for her virginity? I think it could've been either one of them
I left my scarf there. In your sisters house and you're still got it in your drawer 😢 this line cuts me up.
you should react to her documentary!!!
I love this video series !!!!!
You need to do Stay Stay Stay! I think it could be interesting
So many insights!
“Crumbled up piece of paper lying here” - back to John mayar calling her a “paper doll” -> emotional abuse lasting b/c the relationship w JG was not far after JM
I remember anything I've ever written down even if they repeatedly erased my memory to make me forget my soulmate
I think the outro is her convincing herself that it was real
Your analyses helps my gaynalyses, so thanks 😄
i’m 17:01 how did you not write this lyric a few years ago because she would only know his lover stay his age overtime. So maybe she just added it. in 2022
Didn’t even realise that, that further solidifies my conspiracy theory that she wrote those lyrics for the Taylor’s Version😂
2:57 um please Taylor drive safely, 10:09 God my fave part of the song, 12:16 so true😂 14:26 the moment I knew😅
I recommend reacting to the moment I knew! It covers the birthday party
Danke für die Musik 🎶 für die Welt 🗺 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
a reaction to "happiness" by t swift would be amazing
I read the red scarf signified her virginity.
I love now you picked up on the lyric “made me your own” and equated it to the scarf. I took the made me your own to be loss of her innocence as well. ❤😢
I love how brutal this song is too. She puts these guys (probably more than just Jake) on blast for basically dismissing how she felt and her worth (e.g. thinking she’s just immature due to her age so they bail after a couple months of leading her on).
reaction & explaination of us. by Gracie Abrams ft. Taylor when???!!

Like Taylor keeps getting love bombed 😅
What is that painting behind you about?

Yes, react to the video version.🙏
Hopefully you have reacted to the MINI MOVIE.... It is a masterpiece.
I believe the scarf is her virginity. I never realized that, but she strongly alluded to that in a press conference recently.
@@kxue Same and now I've just been wondering what the metaphorical meaning of the scarf is
