Finally a Mob documentary without the stupid reenactments by bad actors! I love how he just gives us the real Mob footage. Thanks so much!!!!! Finally someone listened! That show mobsters and gangland sucks with all those stupid reenactments and horrid actors.
The badly cast, dime store actors and inaccurate timeline and facts are half of what makes those early 00s documentaries fun.
Excellent narration! Definitely did your homework, it seems only someone who was in the life could be that detailed!
One of the best Brasco era documentaries. subbed
Really shows how much he had to endure personally, and to get rewarded with almost to nothing, and risk with such a sacrifice. True legend.
Pistone got a $500 bonus from the FBI after his years of undercover work was done. Pretty lame.
He did endure something most would not. But he did get paid for everything he did inside. He made big mob money. They just leave that part out.
Very well done, haven't seen anything that good in a long time. Thank you. I appreciate the education and the entertainment look forward to more videos God bless.
Your channel is stellar, keep up the great work.💯
Another amazing video sir ! Amazing DD and editing ! Keep them coming !
Fantastic documentary as always! Always a fan of your mob documentaries (and your earlier mallsoft ones as well)
One request please: could you please include the tracklist of the songs used in your videos? The fit so well!
Yup I used to do that on some of my older videos. I'll let you know when it's posted 👍

@@TheNSTLKIAChannel Fantastic thank you! Really hope you can continue to post the OST in your videos going forward!
22:06 OMG I loved Wolfies!!! As a student I stayed in a beach hotel right across the street in the late ‘80s (The Seagull?) and I’ll never forget the updos, blue eyeshadow, blue rinses, Blue Plate Special at 4 pm, and orange cubed jello. It was like walking into Mel’s Diner before Alice arrived.
you deserve way more subs sir! love your videos
Appreciate it man!
Love the real archival footage and Love Joe Pistone-thats one tough man! And brave!
So complicated.....great video!
Excellent video 👍
Thought at the time Pacino's portrayal of Lefty was his greatest acting performance; doubly so after hearing the FBI tapes.
Lmao Pacino got it pretty on point to the actual recordings
Pacino ( pronounced PA-CHEEN-O) is the greatest living actor
Forget about it 😍
@@leighsteen2938 -Forget about it-
Foogitabawtit* 👍
All of the actors gave outstanding performances. Brutal, Violent, Human, and Humor. Plus the period musical soundtrack is icing on the cake. imo
The great and legendary Joe Pistone! The real wiseguy and tough guy!
Always looks like he's still in character. 😆😆
Great video. Thank you!!
I see you elsewhere dude! Anyways hello and I agree with you. This is a great video and a great channel too 🙏🏻
Dude almost looks like Pacino. LOL
That you called Lefty Guns, Anthony while printing his actual name is just tragic 🤦🏽♂️😂😂😂
Yup scripting error I didn't realize until production 😂
@@TheNSTLKIAChannel it is still great work. And the stuff about Mirra was outstanding.
They were part of the 'Banana Wars'
Tragic??? That's the only point you have to comment on... Weak spoiled arrogant and lazy. Obviously you do not know the meaning of the word Tragic. smh
Well done!
"Castalanoooo" 😂
To be honest, the mob is unstable, because every year they’re whacking their own. I would hate to be a boss.
Great documentary, enjoyed listening 👍
Good video! 😎👏👍
Joe Pistone, is the real hero, Good vs Evil
You mean Joe Piss Toe kneeeee
What is the song playing from 14:29-16:14? Loved the doc. Well done.

Thank you much sir. Excellent work sir. Footage, narration, editing, soundtrack, etc. It’s Scorsese-ish in spirit.
Jesus mate its like pulling out your own teeth trying to sit thru this could you talk anymore slowly or boring maybe try changing it from a doco to sleeping aid your on to a winner with that you'll go viral
1:32 Patterson falls from the Sopranos! They tossed Rusty Irish off of.
"If you can fly I won't shoot you down"
Talk a bit faster to keep the audience engaged, also i have never heard this accent, where are you from? Nice video though
I like your mob stories a lot, but can u do one for london, firm gangs, chinese Mafia, jamaican gangs, or anyone other non-italian criminal groups that would be awesome
Les Martin Jr
Listen all of All Pacino Acting as a Mobster in movies are Excellent..
*Why ever watch the movie Donnie Brasco when this documentary explains the life and times of those in the New York Mafia!*
What??? Why watch any movie??? Movies are entertaining. Documentaries are informative. Capice ( Kah-peeesh ) ? With respect to the movie "Donne Brasco," it has great actors, and musical sound track of the era etc. The humor alone is worth the watch,, plus the brutality. 5 thumbs up. imo
@@michaelmack3812 It was a figure of speech, don't take my metaphor literally, watching a Hollywood movie isn't the same as reading or watching an actual documentary! 😅
36:56 the saddest hit I have ever heard of 🥺
FBI did Joe dirty. Not a surprise
He self admittedly does not speak Italian fluently…he said he knows very little of the Italian language.
the audio mix on this is terrible. it's literally unwatchable.
One of the biggest myths in mob history is that Carmine Galante simply just assumed power of the Bonnano’s. He was acting boss under Rastelli who was in prison. Galante was made underboss by Joe Bonnano then went to prison. While in prison the family was run by a panel of 3 capos- including Rastelli. In 1974-1975 Rusty went away to prison and Galante came out who then took over the family because he was the underboss.
If he had just taken control unofficially- he wouldn’t have lasted 5 years on the street as boss lol. Especially not while operating one of the biggest drug trafficking rings in US history. Another reason for him to be killed.
He wasn’t killed for naming himself boss or not sharing the profits of his drug operation to the other families. He was killed because he stopped kicking up to Rusty and because he had burned down a few of Gambinos pizza joints who were also trafficking drugs out of them. He had also killed guys in other families without getting approval first and had done a 60 minutes interview with his lawyer Roy Cohn in 79 which embarrassed the other bosses.
Joe Massino testified to Galante being boss and it was Galante who made Joe into the family in the 70’s.
What made Rusty so great though? I must be missing something. To me he was used by Bonnano/Massino as a front boss, nothing more.
@@puppetmaster706 He was elected in by the commission
@@puppetmaster706 and Massino went away to prison in the mid 80’s and didn’t take over until 1991 when he got out. Massino was extremely loyal to Rastelli. Everyone knew he would be the next boss once Rusty died, there was no need to force the issue and get himself killed over it. The Bonnano’s had enough turmoil during that time as it was.
@@BostonsF1nest ok well that’s enough to make someone boss. I just don’t see how he was such a big earner, but he was sentenced for labor-racketeering and was ok with selling drugs, so probably I’m missing info. He just doesn’t seem like he was the boss type to me, but I could be wrong. Also, did Bonnano have any control over the Family after Galante was whacked?
@@puppetmaster706 You have to remember- Rastelli was appointed by the other bosses. So they didn’t want someone in control of that borgata who was powerful and cunning. They wanted a puppet. A Joe Biden type individual they could use to do their bidding. Obviously Rusty had some juice or else he wouldn’t have even been considered, however there’s a reason Galante was so hated by other bosses- he was powerful, dangerous, and extremely wealthy.
From an outsiders perspective, sometimes it’s best to have a number 2 guy in charge because you know he’ll never step outta line, he won’t rock the boat and he’ll remain loyal to the other families for getting him elected in.
The FBI,files.....
That speech impediment is making this hard for me man. Great video and you did good it’s just hard to listen to at parts
Wow joe is now 84 years old wouldn’t know it
16:13 no wonder Gotti’s smiling… 😉
Omerta??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I wish these narrators would pronounce words and names correctly. This narrator called Benjamin Ruggiero by the first name as Anthony even though his correct name of Benjamin showed on the screen.
Do these narrators suffer from apathy and laziness. How are we really supposed to know that they got the information righr when they can't even pronounce the names and words correctly.
What really makes me cringe is when they phonetically pronounce the word
CONSIGLIERE.
Lars Ulrich commentary?
😂
😂 yes. The over-annunciation of the English language.
If this documentary taught me anything, is that not all people are cut out to be narrators. Jesus.
Shut up! You watch TV.
Feel free to provide a link to your superior version. 🙄
You could just not watch it.. jesus, you're an asshole😊
Why do you say this?
I thought it was AI.
Too many introductions and name dropping. Very difficult to keep up. Friendly advice
All they did was rat and kill each other. Big mouths.😊
Speed it up a bit mate. Your talking in shorthand. 😂
Hey pistons go home now getyer shinebox
Nuon p man ay ganeto n ktindi ang diskarte ng us ngaun p kya na super high tech n tao,,d alm ng russia or china n ngaun plng may mga ispiya na ang us sa russia or china,
How did Pistone get away with not having a girl friend or a wife? I know he had an actual wife but the mafia didn't know that, or did they? If you're around a guy all the time and you start noticing that he has no women in his life, you start to have questions. Maybe it was mentioned in this video but I can't seem to get through it without falling asleep.
He probly talked to girls around them, he probly even got some pussy but he’s not gonna put that in his report
Hoover actually went after the mob while he was still director
He was basically forced to. He denied the Mob even existed for a long time. Hoover was gay and during that time you couldn’t be openly gay especially in his position. Hoover use to like going to The Stork Club which was owned by a big mobster,I forgot who it was,but they had pictures of Hoover with his gay lover and they basically blackmailed him. They told him to leave them alone and that’s what he did for a long time
I can narrate from Wikipedia to lol poor effort guys
I’ve got a mate who’s in the mafia
Massino Quack Quack
Interesting stuff, but the computerized voice is distracting.
I want to know how he become a maid man without killing anybody
He never got made. The idea was for him to murder someone and then get made. That's why the FBI pulled him out
Maid. 😂 that’s a female waiter 😂
@@russcooke5671😂😂😂😂
People act like the gangsters in this story was thr issue smh donnie was the biggest snake ever nobody better ever trust him imagine befriending people n acting like a criminal n breaking the law every day n becoming close to these people like ur family n becoming close to there family n kids n the whole time u no what's gonna happen to them he knew he was gonna get them killed or life in prison n you no they wanted them to get killed why else would you go n tell them donnie was a cop they knew by telling them that before the indictment came down that they would killed before getting locked up smh...the government has always been the real criminals
To many ads and long ads…. Can’t take it anymore
Why would Hoover say the Mafia didn't exist? What's the truth behind that? Times like this prohibition made the Mafia so strong.
That's a big question, with an undefined answer.
The prevailing theory is that Hoover was being blackmailed by the mafia, who had obtained images of him crossdressing.
But almost nothing in that, or other potential answers, is verifiable.
i really was curious for checking this out.however, the voice and weird way of pronouncing and speaking of this storyteller is so destracting and,[[sorry mr]]so irritating that i cannot wach it any longer
Docu was great, except for the narrator's voice, excruciating to listen too. Drags every word like it's the last one and makes it sound like he has his mouth full.
I would listen, but the voice. Have a cough . And if its ai, forget about it.
The video Is great, too bad the narrator sucks☹️
I liie this video. but strongly dislike this narrator's voice and speech and am watching it without volume, because it is quickly getting on my nerves.
I have aeveral developemental disabilities which some leave me with sensetivity to sound.
It is not just this video but many other mob videos have narration that does not fit the content or look of the video.😮
"The More He Cooked, The Fatter He Got" . . . That's great, narrator . . . Criticize Massino's weight
All done at the other day nobody no crime these people or animals well done on the whole thing loved it I loved your history on RUclips besides all the behavior not here thank you very much I have a long drive ahead of me in the first 45 minutes was epic
Awesome to hear man 🙏
