Death Before Dishonor: The Howard Beach DRUG WARS
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- TNC presents '86th Street,' our telling of one of New York's most infamous gangland chapters: the drug wars of Howard Beach.
What was once a peaceful, upper-class Italian community, home to the largest mafia members of decades prior, would quickly transform into a gangland battle ground where shootings, arson attacks, kidnappings, and public beatdowns became the norm.
But within only a matter of 3 years, the entire gang would fall apart, and many men who were once friends with one another would soon turn on each other and use the most powerful tool they could: the court.

I heard gene is starting his own crime family since no other family let him join. Gene is the boss, anthony raimondi is the underboss and gianni russo is the consiglierie.
The new commission will be all the RUclips tattletales. The Pennisi family from New York , the Arillota family from Massachusetts, the Gravano family from Arizona, and of course, the Luisi family from Tennessee

Jimmy Burke is my favourite Irish American
I get Asaros connection but idk if you really needed to go that in depth about Lufthansa. We’re all pretty well aware. Just felt like the first 10 minutes were spent talking about Jimmy Burke and a story we’ve all heard a million times
Not going to mention any names but a close friend of mine used to talk about this stuff because his family was involved. I used to brush it off thinking it was just high school (we went to a private military high school like you saw in the Sopranos) banter because our school did have a good amount of ties to wealthy "underworld" families. Whether they were mafia related (Italian, Greek, etc.), yakuza/triad, KGB and even middle eastern oil families. Wasn't the entire school but a decent ratio of kids families had ties to these groups. Unfortunately I do not come from a wealthy conglomerate family and was court ordered by the state to go to this military high school because I kept "hacking" into computer systems. Back then the courts didn't have much laws around computer "hacking" & teenagers. So my parents and the county court both agreed to send me to this fancy school. Anyway I digress. My friend I met at this school used to mention every week to me, random mafia stuff that was going down on Cross Bay Blvd, Ozone Park, etc. because he was worried his uncle would die. Curious to see what he thinks about this video and will post an update if he does watch it.
This is why "You deal, you die" should have stayed in place drugs bring just as much blood as they do money, and blood brings attention that leads to arrests. These idiots did it to themselves. You can't get away with crimes anymore. Someone either tells, they tell on themselves or the cameras get them.
Good street rackets died due to cameras & tech.
Y'all crazy. Every family had 1 crew dedicated to selling heroin like the Cherry hill Gambinos. The rule was made so crews wouldn't bump heads and become drug rivals. Mafia public relations got y'all believing fairy tales when you can literally look at the indictments during the 70s and 80s in the mob for heroin dealing, which is public record, like the pizza connection.
Howard Beach is the only neighborhood that still gives me a mob vibe lol
Ozone Park also
The ones that survived and made some money all moved to Long Island or Florida
Not really. You ask anyone that lives there and they will tell you it's all wannabes and kids of wannabes that watch too much goodfellas.

I lived in Howard beach for 4 years in the lindenwood section. If you live on 79th street between linden blvd and and 149th Ave the pink houses and linden plaza projects are just around the corner a few blocks down within a 5 minute walk 😂 East New York at one point the murder capital of nyc is literally around the block from Howard beach. 😂of course you’re gonna have crime and now this was back in 2013 when I moved out there … Howard beach especially the lindenwood section has lots of Latinos .. Puerto Ricans and Dominicans that got pushed out of Bushwick and Williamsburg and ridgewood queens due to higher rents and gentrification generally moved out there for the much affordable basement apts or ground level apartments however lots of flooding out there man. The neighborhood also has some Egyptians Pakistani and Trinidadian and Guyanese’s. The other side by Hamilton beach definitely has remained predominantly Italian but still some Latinos out there.

I'm from Howard Beach and my family since the 50s. Still many live there. Everyone knows or knew someone involved in the Mafia or Mob however you call it. Remember seeing the Gotti's and others since a kid. My cousin worked at that Fresh bagels deli when he was a teenager. Deli's bars butcher stores many laundered and was a front. That was in lindinwood. I remember turning late teens Hanging out on Cross Bay BLVD New park pizza and other restaurants or hanging in bars or on the corners. That's all I can say I moved away long ago but my family members are still there but go back often. Ozone park old beach where I'm from and got New Howard Beach and ozone Park is basically the zone covered. We always tried not to do dirt in our own yard but it happens. We always used to take care of each other but when drugs are involved it gets dirty that's why costra nostra will never be same as it was...

First of all - Howard Beach is absolutely not the suburbs. It’s a neighborhood in southern Queens in New York City. It has a residential feel but it’s 100% NYC.
Directly across the Belt Pkwy from East NY Brooklyn- home of the 75 precinct and historically one of the worst neighborhoods in America.

Howard Beach Queens has and will always be the one and only true little Italy. Belt parkway fugedabaudit, if you know you know 🤌I live in Howard beach but lived in ozone park and remember seeing John Gotti on 101st ave outside their clubhouse. He would stop the Mr.Softee’s ice cream truck and give em what had to be a few grand considering my memory and standing next to him as he pulled out wads of cash and i remember he’d pass him a uncounted stack of hundred dollar bills. He just pulled out the cash removed the rubber band unfold it and just fan out what had to be 30 to 40 100 dollar bills. He’d hand it to the ice cream truck cream truck guy and tell him stay here give all the kids ice cream. I remember Elizebeth Blackwell JHS 210 was just two blocks away. When school was over the ice cream truck would play the music and the line of kids on 101st ave would go all the way to woodhaven blvd and turned onto woodhaven blvd. John Gotti may he rest in peace was a kind kid at heart. He knew me from seeing me on a daily basis playing stick ball he and the other Gambino family members would sit outside that clubhouse and entertain themselves watching us play stick ball. My dad never got a parking ticket and the thing was my dad owned the diner on queens blvd across the street from Queens Center Mall from the 70’s to the early 90’s he had a crazy schedule and when he got home their was no parking so he’d leave his car parked in front of two fire hydrants and back then idk why but their was always two hydrants one was always bigger than the other but not on all streets. Anyway my dad would park there and never not once did he get a parking ticket. John Gotti loved playing international lottery and it’s what my dad did on the side. He always played numbers. Ill never forget one day we were all set to go to the beach we had made plans the day before and forecast said it was gonna be hot and not a single cloud so that morning we’re all taking everything down to my dads car and my dad tells me go grab two bags of ice so I went and i walked back pulled the cooler out of the trunk and John Gotti walked up to me and told me look I’ll show you, you pick it up like so and smash it gently on the ground this way the pieces break loose. He looked at me smiling and asked me going to the beach i replied yea he asked what beach i said Rockaway or manhattan beach and i remember like yesterday even remember his cologne the smell he looked up and said looks like rain coming in and i got so sad lol he said go get your dad and i ran told my dad he asked for him. My dad finished combing his hair trimming his mustache and told me come on. We walked outside and John Gotti asked my dad if it was ok if he and his family came along. My dad told him we’re neighbors you’re always welcomed anywhere we’re at. I remember they took a big van and his family were all sitting on the floor of the van it had no seats but we got to the beach and we pick the benches where we would set up our food. He made the most amazing steaks and Italian sausage on Italian bread I’ve ever had. It was just an endless amount of meat and what’s crazy is how normal he was it didn’t match with any of the crap i heard about him on the news and quite frankly idc what i do care about is how he treated me, my family and all my neighbors and their families. We were in Manhattan beach and the tide was high but we went in and he was all smiles and a goof off lol he had so much fun chasing us kids around and acting like a kid that the other adults didn’t do.
I remember it did start to rain but we kept having fun. The rain was done fast and i just remember him asking me and his nephew to put our hands out he squeezed sunblock on our hands and told us rub my back and shoulders lets see whoever does a better job wins $20 and in that time $20 for a kid was a lot lol we rubbed the lotion on his back and arms and he kept making us take another look lol he just wanted us to massage his back lmao finally he reaches in his shoe pulls out his cash and says idk its a close one but he said i tell you what if you find a key on this hundred dollar bill the first one to find it wins it so we both were looking and looking and i remember me saying found it and him saying it almost instantly and we showed him he smiled and said here is 20 each and laughed we both said nooooo and he kept his word he gave both us a 100 dollar bill i was so happy. That was one of the best outings i ever had to the beach because we had stayed all day from early in the morning till about 6pm and everyone got along so well. My dad and him loved dimple pinch scotch whiskey and they kept drinking that all day playing cards. Man did i have some amazing times growing up in that neighborhood. My childhood was perfect and I’ll never forget what his cologne smelled like and how his shoes never ever had a single scuff on them. RIP Teflon Don.
