@@DEPARTUERS19 I couldn't agree more. The guy has played a Cuban, a Puerto Rican and a Spaniard. Meanwhile he's Italian-Irish. That's called acting. I strongly suggest the movie Q & A from 1990 with Nick Nolte in which Asante plays a Puerto Rican drug dealer with impeccable precision.
Me and this movie have history. I moved into a new place cable guy was late by 2 months. The only thing I had on my computer was this movie & I went to sleep to it every night. Love it
Great actors and dialogue, also the clothes and hairstyle from the 70tes!! Only the end is coming to quick and the movie needs 90min more play time to told more of the story!!! Give him 9/10 👍👍👍😁
That actually was a okay movie 🍿. Whenever there is a movie 🍿 or documentary about JOHN GOTTI they always say how good he was to his friends and family.
It was definitely good, but being from the areas they were from I feel they overplayed the Italian goomba thing. Just some over exaggeration for the movies I think.
Thanks for this good upload. Dialogue outta of Happy Days' Fonz. All of these type of movies are over acted Brooklyn accents and meant for direct to video. Especially with lines that Jane says like, "what am I, chopped liver?"
Nobody can compare to Armand Asante.. Armand's acting is priceless in Gotti movie. Travolta was so bad trying to be Gotti or any gangster I couldn't even watch Travolta even more surprising Was Gotti Jr agreeing with Travolta making an wasting everyone's time.

this movie is really good so far. you know i been thinking, they should make a brand new "gotti movie" name it, "his name was gotti" forget the john travolta movie that was a mess. the trailer would start off with the actor playing gotti saying something like, "you know sammy, were gonna make the big time" im hoping hollywood makes a new gotti movie. but right now, im gonna finish watching this movie.
Wow! Very good ! I don’t remmy if seen it before but I ve seen lot of Italian films as well I love Good Fella ! and others being edge of seat 💺 just great to watch it ! 👍🏼 💙💙💙
As a movie? Not bad … kept my attention throughout the film… not an easy task I’ll have you guys know. The Asante version is still tops with me… the acting, the characters… but this one with all its fiction isn’t too far behind ..
These low budget mob flicks always try and go for the stylized angle, but the footage ends up looking like a mishmash of B-roll 🤣 . Thank you for this post. These movies are like little gems to me, and I love to collect them all. 🙏
@@thatpart I think this hardly qualifies as a movie. It's not even local TV. It's like one of those school drama club performances video taped by one of the parents or something produced by community college students studying television. A MAD TV sketch at best.
Best Gotti film ever ...Sally boy ...looking good at the end of the show ...ya trim down a little ...miss your friends ha ???That's cuz you told on them all ....you looked awfully alone at the end ...all alone in that room ...that's a tough spot to be in ....best of luck to ya ....
I really can't knock this movie... It was better than I thought. Some of the actors are trying a lil to hard. But it's still a decent movie. Not better than the Armand Asante Gotti.. But still ok.
That Was a Good Movie 🎬 Excellent the way he told the Story as the Movie went on.. & it Wasn't UR Regular "Gangester Movies.." I'm Not Sure it Was Just done differently.. Way 2GO Well Done
When I first seen the young gotti in the barber chair In the movies start I was thinking this movie was a spoof, but it turned out ok... also reminds me of a Broadway play on film lol but it got its point across 👌 FYI that was really Sal polisi narrating the movie and appearing at the end
The best Gotti film was with Armand asante , he was Gotti, played it well and a good cast.
And Gotti was approved by alot of made men
Gotti with Armand Asante was the best Gotti movie by far and away. Nothing is even close to it.
OSCAR WORTHY ....HES LONG OVERDUE

I am going to watch this film because of your comment 🙂
You’re not alone in this world
Bird Doe ..thank you for sharing this moment..of your time ..I hope you doing well ..💝
I had second thoughts after the $145 budget comment, but decided I’d check the comments first. I’m done reading, to start watching. Thanks Bird 509!
The best gotti was with Armand Assante. He had all his moves down, accent and the cool presence of a New Yorkers
There is only one gotti movie that was made. ARMAND ASANTE did a spectacular job in portraying him..like the original FBI with Jimmy Stewart from 1939
Who's John Gotti. John Gotti
Yep, not even John Travolta could deliver better than Armand Assante!!! 🤩
I see Christopher Moltisanti’s script finally got recognition
Can't believe no one else thought that was hilarious!
🤣
This was a good movie. 8/10 overall. Thank you for posting!
Not a bad movi. Better than some of the comments suggest. ty FFF
The 96 gotti movie was the best
Good story. If it would had more than $145 budget, it could have been made a pretty good movie.
I was thinking 100$?
You could make more in one day washing car windscreens @ the traffic lights than that was spent on this movie.
if it was true this movie is so full of shit the only true part in the movie is there was mobsters with those names
Gotti 1996 is the GOAT. Gotti The Beginning is not entirely accurate, but it’s still an interesting watch.
I wanted to see a good movie, but I comprised, and watched this instead.
