Wow great video. I’m in Split now visiting cousins. I went to Restoran Stari Dvor last night in Kastel one of the outside neighborhoods of Split. Amazing seafood. Thanks for the tips. Looking to explore more.
Well it's not actually, we have 20+ million visits a year, on a less than 4 million people, in high season there's always a million+ visitors inside the country so our entire population grows for over 25%, and it's showing, i don't think any other country besides some micronations experoieces that, greece is close but they get about 32 million on about 12 million inhabitants, so not exactly as concetreted per domestic population. What's weird everything works just fine, traffic, food supply, infrastructure, but it is stretched out, but works, and not a lot of accidents or crime, not much pickpockets or scams like in italy, spain or prague, although high tourists concentration, so we are mostly overlooked by petty criminals.
As a Bosnian I'll give you one tip I learned long ago in Croatia. When it comes about the grilled fish, you must start eating it from the tail and everything after that is pure enjoyment including those crispy fins you cut off. Omg lol...that goes together with the file. So, all you have to do is to slide a fork along the tail and spine and file will break off itself together with the fins. Bit of collards mixed with potatoes and olive oil and garlic. It's really hard to tell how much of vine one can drink after that. Cheers
Split will always hold a place in my heart and feel like another home. I can't wait to return. So nice to make this connection with you and your mother. :)
