Yes , Croatia is so very beautiful country .My husband and I,we were on different tours in Croatia .It was fantastic and unforgettable.Precious memories ❤️❤️❤️
It truly is unlike anywhere else in the world. What fond memories you both must have. I miss morning walks in Marjan forest. Everything about it. And most of all, the wonderful people. Thanks for sharing!
Nice video and good tips, thanks... one of the best pizzas I've had was a tuna pizza in Split, at the Feral Konoba... just outside the Diocletian Palace in one of the alleys off the Riva...
Did some research on European countries to visit, and we love being close to the beach. So Croatia met all our needs (culture, food, outdoor activities). :)
You are so good at describing the dishes you eat! You could be a food critic for any newspaper. I grew up in New Orleans and know what good food tastes like, but I could not describe it the way you do. You've got me wanting to go to all of these restaurants. It would be helpful if you noted the price of the meals. I saw one video that stated the prices are seriously going up. Making Croatia one of the more expensive places in Europe to visit. What are your thoughts?
Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate the feedback. Check out links of all the restaurants in the description incase you want more info on the restaurants I visit. 😉
Hey... That fish you are eating 10:27 which was served to you by the waiter, you are eating something else we call it the "fish that walks"... Goes back in the fridge and it walks againg 😂 Sorry ❤ Great Vlog btw
Thanks so much for watching. I went to culinary school. And I leave the links of each restaurant in the description below the video so you can see the entire menu. In the videos I prefer to highlight the food regardless of price. But I do leave the resources to get the price in the description. I hope that helps. Thank you so much for your feedback!
Split. It's centrally located, easy to get to Dubrovnick in the South and easy to get to Rovinj in the north. Also easiest place to visit the islands from. Check out my vid in Split. :)
Figs? Nope....it's dried plums. I do not know any recipe with figs and meat combined in traditional Dalmatian cuisine. Figs are usually eaten fresh or dried or we make jam from them. But most people eat them fresh when in season... usually just put them in fridge until really cold.
thank you so much for watching and for the feedback. Please refer to the menu of the restaurant as well as most recipes for ‘Dubrovnik Capon’ which consisted of stewed meat, with figs, peaches, raisins, sour orange marmalade, honey, white wine, vegetables and barley. Also refer to the menu of the restaurant I visited in this video which includes dishes with fig. Thanks again for watching.
@@what.tomorrow.brings It's not that i do not believe you there were figs inside, I'm just saying it's not the traditional way. So it was a bit of a experimentation on the chefs part.
Girl you're beautiful! I almost fall in love with you! if you want a slightly different food tour, with original local food, visit Slavonia (not Slovenia) and Baranja - regions in Croatia. Try fish stew, goulash, kulenova-seka, homemade sausages, čvarke, slavonsku šunku, kulen, pileći-paprikaš, sarmu, punjenu papriku.... mmm i think you would like it
A lot of them compare Croatian and Italian cuisine, but they are by no means the same, of course, it is a Mediterranean way of preparation, but Italians use more spices like oregano, basil, while Croatian cuisine is milder and has a much fresher and natural taste. You gotta check out Mallorca, especially the west and the north and some town inland.

In Croatia pizza is usually very good. On another hand burgers and such are often suspect.

pasticada with figs is ok, but the legit one is with prunes and beef has to be spiked with bacon, cloves, and garlic.

Plums, there is plums, not figs in it...
Thank you for the feedback. Most recipes I've found have both fig and plum.

Absolutely agree!
Any Sharks there?
yes but very rarely.
only when they stumble into adriatic sea by accident.
but its not really common.
when there is shark sighting its headline news.
apparently there was only 11 reported deaths by shark in adriatic sea in last 150 years
