Michael Cheney Though I used to enjoy Jameson, flawed man = alcoholic, and the Ampeg B15 plexi flip top bass amp, it was woofy. Today’s modern bass amps have a treble horn which gives much more definition. Also many features like line out, head phone jack, built in tuner. Though Nathan East has some humility, which Our Lord loves, Nathan is wonderful. It is nice to pay tribute to Trail Blazers who went before us, but the instrument has progressed a lot since Motown. Nathan is one of the best, let us enjoy his music and happy vibe.
So joyously skillful. And he tried really hard to get the crowd into what he is doing, but they meekly listen. He deserves more reaction during the song!
Ive never in my life heard something that had wow moments for literally everyone, at any and all levels of musical understanding. This is a Wired "explain music in all levels at once" video.
He sings, plays bass, speaks fluent Russian, and is a cold-blooded killing machine. And he does DIY. What's not to like? Killed a Russian mafioso after this clip with just his bare hands and his fat B string. Blyat!

I just love the look of Russel Gray's face in the background. Most people at NAMM have a sense for music, I'm sure, but Russel knows talent when he sees it and wouldn't have the taste to hide it.

Love Nathan. He's always smiling when he plays. Such a talent.
I told Nathan once that I owed him a check for all the chops I stole from him. He said, "Send it to James Jamerson"!
That's awesome! Nathan is truly one of the most humble people in this world.
GOAT!!!!

James Jamerson is the man! Surely changed how it was done!
Look at his face - here's a man who really loves making music.
I noticed that too. He is always smiling. If he ever stopped smiling nobody would ever recognize him.

He doesn't overplay. I like him
Does overplaying mean showing off or just playing more notes than necessary?
@@N7Sound both especially more notes that are unnecessary
To add, it’s when you play too many notes but don’t have any musical justification for those notes, nor the musicality to make those notes sound good.
Pete necessary to what? It’s either good or it isn’t.
