i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Aiden Grayson thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It would be easy to feel a bit envious of such a luxury home - but do you know what? - Nathan is such a top bloke, amazing bassist and seems an all round nice guy. So all power to him
He seems nice, sure. But what would he say if you went up to him and asked for some spare change? Generosity (or lack thereof) is a far greater judgement of a person's character than their success.
@@SpaceCattttt Well, I enrol in a course with him. His only job is to help us with our playing. Next year, I will be going to a summer school and that includes an application. I asked him for help. Not only did he personally email me about helping me, he even offered a letter of recommendation. If that's not generous then I don't know what is. (Not trying to attack you btw just some insight on the man)
@michael hines Exactl! Bible says ".so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust" You don't have to be a believer to receive his blessing. But he wants us to become his children and not only his creation.
I met this althele person at the Manchester downtown Hilton in the Gym locker room. He put his pound and the locker would not give him the key. I offer him my pound since I was leaving. He asked me why I was in my Manchester. I told him I was and IT manager and I asked him what he did and he said that he was playing base in a band. I asked him was he playing for the wedding that day at the Hilton. He said No I am playing for Herbie Hancock. My next words were that I saw Eric Clapton 1993 and he had this Great base player by the name Of Nathan East and he sang the Steve Winwood song (Find My way home) better than the original. His next words were I am Nathan East and I did not realize I was that Famous. He asked Me if I would like to come to the show that evening and i am like sure. When I got the ticket from the box office counter there were backstage pass and center 7 row seats. Herbie and Nathan played for about three hours it seems. One of the great shows I have ever seen besides Eric Clapton with Nathan East. This a true story.
This guy is such an inspiration. Down to earth, humble, yet supremely talented, erudite and contributed so much to music over the years. This is the kind of person this planet needs more of.
Oh my gosh! What a class act! Incredibly talented, humble, and modest. He just seems like he could be a friend to everyone! Our world is better because of him!
Nathan is like the go-to bassist of the icons of music. We probably even listen to music that we have no idea that he's the one playing the bass. And he deserves every accolade he ever had.
One of my favorite "blessed" people. He is appreciative and grateful for what he has. He is confident, but not arrogant. I would love to be a friend of his.
I'm so glad to see that he is very successful. Too many rappers and hip-hop artist make a lot of money but these really quality, talented musicians are the ones that really deserve this kind of lifestyle
Yeah, but Nathan's net worth is apparently 2 million dollars, and his house cost 2 million dollars. So I suspect that he has to be constantly working to make ends meet. Compare that with asshole rappers who have a handful of hits (at best) and still make more money than Nathan's made over 30 years of gruelling tours and studio work.
Harrambee Jackson Agreed, it’s only bigotry and player hate. Besides, what’s a rapper ever done to these guys other than bang a daughter or two. There’s room for everyone out there if you work for it and make a profitable product.
That infectious smile! He shows up everywhere, plays awesomely, and makes you smile just watching him! He of course plays with my favorite piano-player, Bob James.
I feel like bass is the glue in the band that binds rhythm and chord progression together. And many times bass is the one that gives the groove to the song along with vocals
Not only is Nathan one of the most respected, gifted, recorded, and liked bassists on the planet but he's also one of the coolest, humblest, and funniest people who is a joy to be around! Every session and concert stage he's on is better because he's there.
The man comes across as down to earth good guy....he has played with some of the greats and built up love and respect from all...a man who deserves what he has ...carry on my friend
He’s such an awesome guy! Sooo down to earth and friendly. I met him at the Fry’s Electronics store in Burbank. I was the cashier that rung him up.. I recognized him and asked him if he was the bassist of Joe Satriani on one album I knew of..”. He was surprised I knew him from that album. He had a huge smile and said “ yes I am “. We chatted alil more ..very humble guy...Great guy, great musician! 👍
There is a musician who knows how great he has it and continues to earn what he has. Can see it in his smile. Instead of becoming a prominent unique voice in bass he helped lay the bedrock for so many and was rewarded for it. Love watching him and Pino play.
Wake up every mornin being grateful for what you have and Living what you doin. The key to his success. A brilliant musician and a very humble person. Not to mention the beautiful mansion. The best to you Mr. East.
he seems a very kind person... he seems very professional... he seems like a very respectful and respectable person... and thats why he is blessed with a good life...he is also blessed with youthful looks and talent! Good for him!
First time I saw him was with Phil Collins in Barcelona back in 1997. I attended with my sister and made it to the front row with a sign that said "NATHAN YOU'RE #1". I can still see him smiling at me.
Nothing is as important as his fatherhood... having a great time with his son... a nice guy,.who knows how to remain uplifting even when he is rich... everything he is proud of is about those he loves... beautiful spirit.
First time I noticed Nathan East was in the early 80s. He played on Hubert Law's album and it featured one of his songs. I can still hear the opening riffs of that wonderful bass solo. After that, he did the bass column for Guitar Player magazine. Although he had much hair back then, he doesn't look that much different today.
I've been a professional bass player and road dog studio player for 35 years. It's nice to see a guy like Nathan East get some creds. He's a great musician and influence on a lot of young bass players. Who has Nathan NOT played with??? Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!
Man Nate ,you got it going on.A beautiful home,A gorgeous family, and an unbelievable wonderful career. What more does a man want?.Congratulations bro, you've earned every fruit of your labor of love,so savor every morsel of it! Peace.
U have helped ROCK THE WORLD w your bass & such a happy personality to go with it :) thanks Nathan 4 inviting us into your home. I really enjoyed the tour !
Gorgeous home. So glad for all of Nathan's successes. He is such an incredibly talented bassist, we've all heard him on so many recordings and tours, and yet he seems like such a humble and down-to-earth guy and has such a refreshing sense of gratitude. Major props to this very talented gentleman.
I met him after a Four Play concert in Avery Fisher Hall in NYC . Nice guy , great musician and very gracious speaking to fans after the show . Very versatile playing many different types of music .
This cat is on so many of my favorite albums I don't think some people quite realize how amazing he is that are commenting this is Nathan East baby!!!,!!!!!
WOW...this man creates such a strong feeling of respect and true art. To me...true art is something I look at or hear and I just want to be humble, quiet...almost humanly reverant for the accomplishment. True Art...makes me want to act better and and ask myself..."what can I give...to be a blessing...?"
One of my favorite bassists. Saw him back in the early 90's with the original Foreplay (with Lee Ritenour). Amazing show. Considering what he has done and all the amazing players he's played with it would take 20 minutes to read off his resume.
You just have to love Nathan - he deserves everything and more.
@spinalcrackerbox Indeed! Nathan seems to have a great heart and personality to match his extraordinary musical talent.
he worked with Angela Winbush Bass Please Bring Your Love Back The Real Thing 1989 and Ive Learned To Respect The Power Of Love 1989
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Titan Dallas instablaster =)
@Aiden Grayson thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Imagine being this good at your art and being this humble. That's something to aspire to, not just the money.
Is he ever not smiling? what a cool guy.
If I was personal friends with Clapton my smile would never stop either!!!
A Reese I do believe Eric only hires musicians who are great persons as well.
This guy seems really humble and down to earth.
He's been in a band with GINGER BAKER, can you blame Clapton for going with musicians who are less high strung?
;)
morgan ghetti - when life is that good....
What ya got to frown about? 🤣
It would be easy to feel a bit envious of such a luxury home - but do you know what? - Nathan is such a top bloke, amazing bassist and seems an all round nice guy. So all power to him
+Jpkrao
"...Bernie Sander's lazy and freeloading supporters...", lmao. I perceived his comment as "positive jealousy" anyway.
He seems nice, sure. But what would he say if you went up to him and asked for some spare change?
Generosity (or lack thereof) is a far greater judgement of a person's character than their success.

Jp misses the point, lol.
Considering his career, age and accomplishments I find the home rather modest
Who doesn't love Nathan?
What a soul to open his house for us to see how he lives.
Long life Nathan.
He's brought a lot of happiness to people through music, so I'm pleased he has a nice sanctuary to relax and gain inspiration.
I'm not in any way a religious person, but this right here is what you would call a blessed life.
@michael hines Exactl! Bible says ".so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust" You don't have to be a believer to receive his blessing. @Jon micheal Right!!
@Jon micheal He's supposed to and I'm glad for Him.
He’s blessed for sure.
Maybe , but I'm sure he worked really hard for that " blessing " as in hours and hours and hours of practice and playing .
An incredible musician, gentleman and family man who has always been humble and grateful. 100% class act.

Nice story man, this guys a real gent.
Bill Harrison ... I’m totally jealous!!! 😂🤣 He’s one of my fav bassists. He sings in falsetto too.
Bill Harrison I said hello to Nathen January 2009.
Bill Harrison that’s a great story man! What an honour!
Awesome story. Thanks for sharing.
nice to see a world class musician doing good
This guy is such an inspiration. Down to earth, humble, yet supremely talented, erudite and contributed so much to music over the years. This is the kind of person this planet needs more of.
Beautiful Man, beautiful home, beautiful family and beautiful music. Can't get any better

God bless you, Nathan! So nice seeing good, real musicians getting what they deserve!
I sense such a humble and genuine spirit from him. Have loved his music over the years.
Hard Work has certainly paid off!!!
@Jpkrao you are an idiot
I'm so glad to see that he is very successful. Too many rappers and hip-hop artist make a lot of money but these really quality, talented musicians are the ones that really deserve this kind of lifestyle
+Marcos Guerra Very true...in fact, I think The Wu Tang compound is down to the right. That scene looks very familiar.
Yeah, but Nathan's net worth is apparently 2 million dollars, and his house cost 2 million dollars.
So I suspect that he has to be constantly working to make ends meet.
Compare that with asshole rappers who have a handful of hits (at best) and still make more money

Funny how you and the other guy single out rappers and hip-hop artist, but there are a lot of these "assholes" in every genre. smh
Harrambee Jackson Agreed, it’s only bigotry and player hate. Besides, what’s a rapper ever done to these guys other than bang a daughter or two. There’s room for everyone out there if you work for it and make a profitable product.
Marcos Guerra - Never mind, he’d be doing it anyway 😄
That infectious smile! He shows up everywhere, plays awesomely, and makes you smile just watching him! He of course plays with my favorite piano-player, Bob James.
Very inspiring bass player and man too.
Nathan is an outstanding musician and I'm so glad he could share the love of music with his son.
I feel like bass is the glue in the band that binds rhythm and chord progression together. And many times bass is the one that gives the groove to the song along with vocals
You deserve all what you've worked hard for Mr East may you have many more years of success my Bass Brother. .........
Not only is Nathan one of the most respected, gifted, recorded, and liked bassists on the planet but he's also one of the coolest, humblest, and funniest people who is a joy to be around! Every session and concert stage he's on is better because he's there.
He earned it and he's been at it a long time. Well-deserved.
The man comes across as down to earth good guy....he has played with some of the greats and built up love and respect from all...a man who deserves what he has ...carry on my friend
Wow! Such a delightful and talented guy!!!
What a guy! I had no idea he was this genuine. Unbelievable talent. I'm even a bigger fan now. Great video.
He is like sunshine. Just good vibes warm and great smile. His bass playing is other worldly!
Your son will remember these days long after you are not around..(playing piano with dad) . such a great video ... thanks for putting this together...
There is a musician who knows how great he has it and continues to earn what he has. Can see it in his smile. Instead of becoming a prominent unique voice in bass he helped lay the bedrock for so many and was rewarded for it. Love watching him and Pino play.

Even with the great house and success, it’s the positivity that shines through. How can you not want to work with this man?
Wake up every mornin being grateful for what you have and Living what you doin. The key to his success. A brilliant musician and a very humble person. Not to mention the beautiful mansion. The best to you Mr. East.

It's great to see a (need I say) 'back up musician' being successful to award himself and his family a beautiful home. Good for you, Nathan East.
What a joy it would be to play with Nathan on bass and Steve Gadd on drums!

True Art...makes me want to act better and and ask myself..."what can I give...to be a blessing...?"
WHY IS IT, THE BASS PLAYER IS ALWAYS THE COOLEST DUDE IN THE BAND???
No huge ego like most singers and guitarists.
natural selection. if you're not cool you'll get frustrated not to get credit and pick up the guitar.
+Pablo Horteg As a guitarist, I would agree. I may appear egotistical sometimes, but really it's just a driven passion.
keeferdog because bass players have a cool slow hand, they put the bottom in the bucket.
keeferdog correct
A fine man. A great player. God Bless Nathan.
Glad to see you spend time playing music and talk with your son,,, thats great.
Your a lucky man...............
I just like listening to him talk about his life. The house is nice too.
He is one of the few that deserves and appreciates it,love him!
Beautiful person, beautiful player.
One of my favorite bassists. Saw him back in the early 90's with the original Foreplay (with Lee Ritenour). Amazing show. Considering what he has done and all the amazing players he's played with it would take 20 minutes to read off his resume.
