The assumption of "thicker skin" has led to tons of historical brutality against Blacks from ignoramuses who assume they don't feel pain, can bear more pain--people from brutal police to poorly trained doctors who deny pain medication to Black people who are in severe pain. Maybe the melanin is compensation for some of the thin-skinned know-it-alls with whom they now share the planet.
I once tried singing one of his songs during karaoke night and failed miserably. I thought I'd be alright because there weren't any super high notes, but his delivery is what makes his songs. His tone, his riffs, seamless key changes, and his intuitive musicality that I definitely didn't have. Many people can sing a song, but only masters can create magic.

I am very picky in my selections, but I managed to archive 237 of his songs. His melodic and harmonic inventiveness is awe-inspiring, and his use of modulation is the best in the business.
