Welcome to the tutorial for the world's easiest cardigan! This cardigan can be customised to fit any size. Literally ANY size. You could probably make one for your dog it's that easy 🤣
I used just under 8 skeins of Hobbii's Glitter Delight Yarn and a 7mm crochet hook, but you can use whatever you like!

just a note for making this plus size, you probably want to add just a few more stitches to the front panels to make sure it comes around your wider sides.
I was thinking of that, when she said to make the front panels smaller than half the back. I thought that in sewing class they always say to make the front a bit bigger to accomodate the breasts (we don't have bumps on our back).
Should I do that if I want it oversized too?

I, as a curvy girl myself who just kinda winged her first cardigan using this tutorial, second this heavily - unfortunately I've read this comment ✨after✨ finishing the front panels so let this be a lesson to all of us. 😂

I am size XL and this was my first cardigan I crocheted. I was having a hard time finding patterns that were cute, easy to follow, and would fit me, this pattern was very customizable and easy to follow!

I’m volunteering at a school for the Deaf in Kenya, and I need a sweater pattern to teach the kids. This one caught my eye because it can be easily adapted to any size, which is one of the things we need. To try it out, I made one for my host family’s son, and it fits perfectly. The kids in my class will love making this sweater!

I'm doing this now x3 in varying sizes for my daughters! I'm half way through the first one and have thrown in some double crochet stitches and also "don't know terms" but added in some cute gaps double double chain one skip one double double etc etc" to the back panel for some funsies:) thanks for the tutorial! You will have an extra 500 views during me re watching with each step and cardigan I complete 😂

Currently working on this cardigan, it’s my first project ever and it’s turning out perfect considering I’m a complete novice lol. I wanted super chunky and balloon like sleeves so I left lots of room. I have one sleeve and the ribbing left to do! I’m considering adding pockets to the front panels as well but my hand is very stiff so that might have to wait. I’m using a super Chucky polyester yarn in light pink and forest green for the ribbing and I love how it looks already, even in it far from complete state of being lol, thank you for the video, it was very helpful!

I'm so happy!!! Thank u so much for this pattern. I'm a complete beginner basically and a couple months ago bought this yarn (7 skeins of it :') ). I later realized that it was very much not made for tight crochet stitches and snapped my project in half. But now I finally have something to do with the yarn I got, which makes me so so happy! :)

I made this cardigan and I really like it. This will be my "just in case" sweater for vacation and I'm sure I'll enjoy it going into Fall as well. The tutorial was easy to follow and I really liked the versatility of the pattern. I added patch pockets and buttons to mine -- buttonholes not needed since the pattern will accommodate the fastening of the buttons. Thanks for a great pattern!
Hi, I'm making one too but have a confusion. The even number of counts around armhole for sleeves does include slip stitch or not? Can you please answer? Also about the sleeve ribbing, do we have to decrease count more for first row of ribbing?

Such a great tutorial! Ive just finished a split colour hat and im going to try this in the same colours, ill just halve the back panel measurement and make it twice 😊 if i dont have enough yarn left then ill make the sleeves and trim a different colour again but im really excited to see how this would turn out as a half/half sweater, thankyou for sharing this tutorial!

Love it! It's my first cardigan ever! I'm an XS - S, so I used almost the same measurements as you. I used the Red Heart Detroit yarn, and I used double crochets because it was thinner than yours.

I just finished this cardigan. :) It's a lovely pattern but if someone is a bit larger chested then my advice is to leave a smaller gap at the neck. I love that mine tuned out jacket style but would love it even better if I could get the fronts to close.
