traditional kukiae forms introduced to karatedo used by such sensei produce exceptional range for striking intuition; i trained under 10 dan sensei master of shotokando and kukooei and kukiae forms are essentially used all the time
I can't help but notice an interesting thing about the slow motion kicks. That is that the actual travel path of the foot is plain wrong. I certainly do recognize your flexibility and strength, and as such, the kicks are fine, but I would suggest you also make the path correct, given that there re no reasons not to. It is not harder, and it will improve focus... or so I believe. This is most prominent in the initial yoko geri.
Great job. Your in really good shape then. Hopefully your doing well 2015. Very inspiring for me to get stretched out at 51 as I once was in my younger days. Funny how martial arts keeps us in shape like the old school kung fu movies with the white haired masters having devastating killer techniques.
I just played one of the videos in my uploads "1990 Okinawan Karate ~ Kobudo Festival Demonstrations 7" watching the true "old men" of Okinawan karate performing demonstrations in their mid to late 80's. Want to see old school watch the clip "Pre-WWII Goju Ryu" on my channel. That's old school. Certainly this man is well stretched, etc. but not "old" Gambatte!!
if this hadn't mentioned "old school" and had stopped at the stretching then it would be a great educational video for increasing flexibility as this guy is very flexible. I echo others comments around the performance of the kicks, they are in fact very poorly done and with some of the body wind up it shows a lack of core strength. I would suggest more practice at lower levels until fluid and without needing body movement, then move on to trying to look flash.
we do similar stretching so i can say that the karateka is outoutstanding shape. The techniques are looking more artistic than real fighting. Watch his arms while is kicking. Thats isnt a good defence, he is loosing his balance. If I would do it, I have to consider to make some push-ups.
By the way, there was never a Yoko Geri in the Traditional Okinawa Karate, Yoko Geri came into Karate when Funakoshi brought it from Okinawa to Japan - that's Modern Karate and not the ol School. You will not find any Okinawa Karate Kata having a Yoko Geri in it. In this film he demonstrates a Ballet type of Martial Art - sorry - don't like at all.
nice flexibility .... but broken wood it's not the good way to practice Karate ..... follow shotokai spirit from the last alive student from sensei Funakoshi :) ...Sensei harada (y)
I'm sorry, but you are wrong. Harada Sensei was Funakoshi Sensei's student... but he isn't Funakoshi's last living student. There are still a few left. I know this because I study under one of his Funakoski's direct students, "Kawanabe Sensei".
is that a parody`? mawashi geri is not a basic okinawan kick its from the 50's!... ushiro geri as well... jodan kicks arent okinawan, and by the way very inefficient
u put up a video of perfect execution talk is cheap it would be interesting to see your amazing perfection mr grand master no video no respect simple put your money where that mouth is
Your technique is excellent. I especially like your sharp-footed yoko-geri.
I wish I can train with this sensei..

that is the lowest I've ever seen a man go. inspires me to train harder!
old man at 43 ????
Don’t you mean ura MAWASHI geri?
Very good.
mais qui va faire le ménage?
i must say if this is oldschool.. I practise the same techniques..
Well you and your teacher are wrong. High kicks did not enter karate practice before WWII
all form, no martial content = new karate
ushiro geri: look where you're kicking

Oss
Why is this old School?
Gedan for knee, chudan for nut (Mr. P), Jodan for neck... Real karate for real self defense, not just for point (Jodan for head).
old just for "black and white"?
Parabéns sensei!!!
Is old school because karate was made for combat.with a hard body training and looks that he has it. and The rest came later.
TACHITO NIPON
Nice work but by no means traditional. I mean traditionally nobody would kick above belt level.
I like this

Why the odd music ?
And yet you can find old footage of Bruce Lee breaking boards.

"Boards, don't fight back"
Love the video
Hate the loud music
Definately not OLD!! great flexibility tho...
this guy is amazing!! I also want to see him spar someone...he'd be good.

43 is Not old !!! 😂😂
Seems everyone wants to claim old school and old techniques.. everyone marketing themselves using words like koryu and tuiti and kyusho.

EMPTY HEAD
boards dont hit back ha
With stretching your legs like crazy you loose lots of Power in your Kicks at high level. But this is definately not "Old School"!!.
His tobi ura mawashi was not so good. Nice training though.
Let see yours.
I think this is fine and impressive but is certainly not "old school."
I got bored watching you stretch; the kicks are all very new school--above the waist.
sei pesante, poco agile - arrivi a terra tutto traballante
ke = que , es solo pa no perder tiempo man no seas tan literal.
pa = para

to nie karate ! to balet ha ha !
+piotr golanski Skoro potrafi wolno zrobić te techniki, to robiąc je szybko urwie ci łeb.

y eso crees ke es hacer karate????? jajajajjajaaj xD!!
good flexibility but poor technique and execution, he's always about to loose balance every time he executes.
