Have been doin karate since I was 6. Lifestyle that I can't give up.
My sensei once told me not to get involved in a fight again at school when I was 14. He told me that our hands are like weapons and we train because karate is art of being weapon to protect our beloved ones and not to destroy someone's face for simple reasons. Since that, have been avoiding fights for a long time. Sometimes soft guys think they can beat me up, and I apologize and leave them believe in what they think. The problem is that competition is being taught and the original purpose of karate is not taught or is poorly taught and when you need to apply it you will fail. A punch is done in a way not because it is beautiful but because it is the most effective
The original pourpose of karate was self defense period.

For me Karate started out as a curiosity inspired by Bruce Lee. The intense workouts got me into the best shape of my life and quickly learned the benefits of mind, body and spirit. It is now my way of life in every manner especially respect for others as the primary way to avoid conflict.

Karate has been so bastardized as to make a mockery of it. I am, at times, ashamed to say that I train, not for karate, but for the ignorance of the individuals I am speaking to. They are utterly clueless.

real karate it's a way of life, the religion if you wish. once you start to practice and believe, you will live it to the end. you will think about it all the time. you will see and feel life through the karate prism. it has nothing to do with karate-sport. there was a study proved the brains of those practicing eastern martial arts more than 10 years has a different structure.

    SUMMER:

    ENGLISH TRANSLATION
that was you see through the window
that what you see through the window
    a branche of shinning plums
    and on it
    its heat
that what you see through the window
    blue leaves in dazzling eyes
    hi to the mountain
    aaa first algaes
that what you see through the window
    the refreshing autumn wind
    around the mountain or
    the sound of the bell
    in life
    there is hope
    the evening is sad
    and life is short
that what you see through the window
in the house of frozen snow
    I think sleep
it really looks like to sleep
that what you see through the window
    a happy start
    exposure of branch
    this spring at dusk

I could have said karate is a dance or just ineffective, but I have used my karate training to destroy a lot of opponents with speed and accuracy on the street, I once applied gyaku zuki on the groin/penis of 7 attackers in a street fight, another time 3,and again 4 I have lost count of all the attackers I have destroyed their groin with gyaku zuki in Nigeria, but I just hate the katas ,and its shotokan karate to be precise,so I can bet my life that karate isn't a sport, but a killer art in disguise and very dangerous, gyaku zuki (karate +judo) for life

Since when karate became a martial art sport and not a self-defense martial art? I think that when a person learn karate and he focus on developing his bare knuckles fist by hitting a makiwara; hardening his fingers by doing spear hand strike on a makiwara or any way it could hardened, and also hardening his extended knuckles by hitting a makiwara; and hardening his arms by hitting it; and his shin bone by hitting it hard; and other hardening technique. Then that person must be learning karate as a self defense art. Just doing karate actions or movement will not make one learning karate as a self defense art.
