@ ok will do. It’s at the shop now getting it done and alignment. I always used (even on my prev tremor ) Auto Spring kits as they make a Tremor specific offset version.
Im not real sure how your spacers are made but I do believe there is no washer bc the bolts they supply push through the spacer before you put it on the strut. Then when installed on the strut your studs will be sticking out of the spacer just like the stock strut looks and you use the stock nut on top. I’m not 100% on that depending on your spacers but just from other videos I’ve seen. Thanks for the install video! I’m ready to get mine and I’m probably just going with a 2 inch.
that was the first thing i noticed, ive done 2 now with motofab kits which is what it looks like he is using was just watching this as a refresher before i do my third install lol
First off, thanks for the thorough video. It’s evident you know your stuff. Planning on leveling my gen 14 F150 as well. Trying to decide between puck vs leveling strut replacement. Would the ride quality be better going with a strut and factory coil?
@Jbellma54 i can only speak from my experience, and I've only ever done the blocks. I do feel like the truck rides ruffer than stock because you're changing the suspension geometry. The blocks are really cheap and easy to install, but a lifting coil will probably ride better and have the same kinda install time but a much bigger hit to the wallet.
Great video/ Question: how much deflection on the CV joint angles was resultant from the leveling, e.g., too high of a lift via shock tower spacers verses a diff drop bracket method can result in a lot of rotation stress on the joint if it's too much. Any ideas on what your CV joint angles are now as I believe in stock form they are with little if any deflection? Kindest regards.
What a difficult question. 1st of all, I have no idea, lol. 2nd, my buddy had me do a 3 inch on his 2014, and his ball joint pulled apart. Lucky for him, he was in his driveway so no major damage. He had to do an aftermarket upper control arm to get within specs. Now I did a 2.5, and I'm maxed out on my camber and cast. So I wouldn't go any more than a 2.5. Anything after that, I'd do a full suspension lift. I really hope that answers your question.
If you did a 3 inch, I would say yes. I did a 3 inch on my buddy's 2014 fx4, and he couldn't get it aligned. So he did the upper control arms, and it worked out great.
Well, I guess if you want to stretch your axle, fight, and waste time, then don't undo a simple axle nut. This is the way I think it should be done.... I think you need to find another way to occupy your time instead of being a keyboard warrior.
Getting mine done 2” tomorrow. 12/26
150 Tremor 2024.
I have a 24' Tremor and want to get this done as well. Please provide an update/review... Also, overall installation cost would be nice to know.

Sweet video, thanks for this! Might do this on my 23 as well! 😅
Thank you glad I could help
I''m getting ready to level my '17 XLT soon... so this video is greatly appreciated my friend.

I remember doing mine on my 19 and taking the studs out were a LIFE CHANGER
@@ThenewguyYT I figured it out on the second truck I did lol

You are The Man!
@robertadair9756 lol thank you
I did a lowering shackle instead and removed the blocks. 3/4" rake. No alignment needed.
Yep, that's a great plan if you're not looking to do bigger wheels and tires like I am.
just pull the top of the strut out and rotate it outwards before removing it from the lower control arm to rotate the bushing, a million times easier

@@MakingNoise45 Excellent info you shared on your experiences with the installs you’ve done. Thank you for the reply.
Did you use the Motofab 2.5” pucks?
Yes
Never done anything like this. Im handy with tools. Do you think i could handle this alone? I have all the tools! Great vid!
@WalkerEmrick it doesn't matter what I think, but you have to get your hands dirty to find out if you're capable.
What size tires are on your truck during this video? I bought 275/55/20s I’m wondering what they will look like before I choose 2in or 2.5in
@@linebackerjs 265/70/17 stock tires and wheels fyi
Thank you!
Is a track bar and camber bolts needed to complete this install? OR just a trip to the alignment shop after this install?
@vicc6744 mine was maxed out on the camber. I think you're fine just doing an alignment but that's my opinion.
@@MakingNoise45 Thanks- I think the guy I was talking to just wanted me to buy more stuff- LOL
@vicc6744 that's usually the case. More parts equals more money lol
How are the cv axles? Do u need aftermarket upper control arms?

Which bug guard is that?
@@ceegee4494 AVS I bought it from Americantrucks.com
Did leveling impact fuel economy or handling?
No, not at all. When I put bigger tires on, it will, though.
Thanks@@MakingNoise45
I hitched up my travel trailer. Now it’s perfectly level! I love seeing leveled trucks taildragging on the highway. Ha ha ha lol!😂
@Krunch2020 you want that look but if you use the truck gotta have a rack. Cops look at you fun dragging bumper lol
Do not have to take the axle nut off
Yes you need to slide the axle out of the spindle.
@@MakingNoise45I did not have to and the fox2.0 went in fine with no issues for 30k. You are really good at working on things though.
