We're in one. The labels are turning into tech companies right before our very eyes. DTC music distribution will be the only way for artists to make money realistically moving forward. It's the wild wild west and music is more democratized than ever, given your personal business is on place. The playing field isn't reliant on labels in the same way as it used to be.
@@DennisMHenderson I literally read this again for the first time, and I can see why you cringed. But you missed the point here. If it wasn't by bowie, iggy would probably be dead before the end of 80s. Bowie would be "okay", but wouldn't have iggy as an "north", artistically speaking. They can be a whole artist by themselves, but they absolutely needed each other.
What amazes me in Iggy Pop is his eyes(of course voice, even when he is speaking, not singing). His eyes and the light, that spark of his glance. Though he may look older than the interviewer of whoever. That view, that THING in the eyes. There is a whole world of energy, of talent and of youth. I am in love with that energy, of Iggy’s voice and light. The raw light. Not the combed one, that is gone throught the dispersion cube, but the fountain of light.
Iggy my favorite rock and roll figure of all time. I got to sing “no fun” with him face to face on stage at the Wiltern theater in 2008. I never forget it…. Stooges the dirtiest, greatest rock and roll band of all time …. IMO
He’s a junkie child, they sell anything for another hit, your obviously too young to get backstabbed by someone you trust ,but it’s a learning experience,Iggy a drug addict they have money ,they just can’t keep it

A little kid, with his mom. Hi. It's me, Iggy... "That man that they want in my mom. I got that man on my mind that I can't find." / What would that man be, to be there in front of his mom. Their interaction and pausing. Is that this music?
I have more respect for Iggy, then just about anyone else in the music world.
I do too, except more respect for him than just about anyone else on the planet. Him and Ozzy.
Finally an Iggy and the stooges documentary and it's good too!!
We desperately need another music revolution to shake things up
Time to get creative, the revolution won't be televised. Inspire other creatives to get at it too
It don't matter what type of art form

Iggy is chaos, and Bowie is the one who guides this chaotic explosion to a musical cohesion.

How can you not love Iggy Pop and how can you not love Melvin Bragg. What a brilliant documentary.

Legendary! This man gives everything to his art and living. What a twisted world that it took so long for him to have a beautiful car and a home.
