I was in the crowd here. When I bought tickets, I thought they were going to show the Documentary first and then have a talk afterwards. I wasn't disappointed though, cuz Iggy was there. How could anyone? My girlfriend at the time thought we were going to see a documentary about the Three Stooges. When she told me that I thought to myself, what kind of person am I with? We made it another 7 months. Hahaha.

Thats Cool..good on you mate..(The 3 stooges.thats interesting as Ron.Ashton.got the name from there(sortve)&Ron got to know one of them in his later years(1-of the 3Stooges')which Iggy explains on WTF pod w/-Marc Maron.cheers from cold day here in Dn NZ.
I saw Iggy and the Stooges just as punk rock was breaking in England in early 1977 and when I left the 3000 "seat" arena I walked home thinking no one will top that ever, raw power, search and destroy, be your dog, my ears were ringing with them tunes the next morning, I'm so pleased Iggy said Sleaford Mods were his favourite band of today, I wondered what the Americans would make of S/Mods as they are so British, working class, inverted, self deconstruction, if you haven't heard them, do so now, 10*/10* ill check out perfume genius asap
2 unusually talented ppl who are strangely normal, or at least appear so to me. I loved 'Coffee & Cigarettes' but knew nothing else about JJ or Iggy. Great thought provoking interview. Thanks for sharing. Lockdown London England ✌
such a lucky thing to have Iggy ~1:14:00 "cringe-worthy elements" whoever you are: nothing cringe-worthy about Iggy slathering peanut butter on himself. more embarrassing that you wouldn't
I now understand (my thoughts) as to why the Tom, Iggy sceen in cigarettes and coffee was writen as it was. IMO He was sending up each of their personalitys. IMO to ultimately make recpective people more self aware. Toms 1st, and Iggy's second. Toms scense of importance and Iggys accomadative nature. He did this to John Lurrie (again my thoughs) In Stranger than parodice I feel he sent up johns side to be vain and maybe conserned with trends. John Lurrie is a Master musician in my opinion. So you could say My thoughts are that Jarmusch tried to rock the boat of those he admired and worked with. In a small way it reminds me of a quote, from I think it was Willie Nelson. "I want to disturb the settled, and settle the disturbed". Just My 2 cents. Sory for spelling,,,
I have a belief that every music has an inherent corresponding ideal dance, even if it's just moving a finger or an eyebrow, and iggy obv danced in the right way to the stooges sound, and if this dance can be called primitive, then ergo the stooges played authentically primitive music. Thus time travel has occurred.
@27:00 ish Jim talks nice about Ig's modern crowd work where he's worshipped by mostly youngun's. Far more interesting BITD when it was aggrotheatre performa for a COMPLETELY different purpose.
Had a ticket already before this virus circus. But i got the message i get a refund and my ticket isn't there any more? It was for Groningen in June ?!!xx
Wonder if Jim wears a wig here or has implants.....one thing's for certain , apart from that it's obviously coloured , that's not his hair..Not of my business ofcourse , these little cosmetic questions intrigue me.... Even the other Jim doesn't bother to hide his grey hair... It's understandable for these rockstars to be self conscious about their hair ...it's almost a case of "Samson" .......hair was so important in their lives , especially during the 60's...Shame these old pensioners like Jagger etc...look somewhat silly...desperately clinging to the youthful image they once had...
MrSidbow You know as soon as the interviewer says that this is the coolest she will ever be that this is going to be real crap. Try and be cool rather than tell people how uncool you are!

Never mind the Stooges any Woman who would go to a Three Stooges Doc is a keeper in my book.
Nice, lol... Musical compatibility is one of the most important for some of us when it comes to a partner 🎼

First time I heard the stooges I thought the world had changed, then I saw Iggy perform and I knew the world had changed......long live Iggy.
iggy is just so damn likable
exactly, no pretentiousness whatsoever
@N Are Communists better than Capitalism? It's all tyrannical ideology bub.
@N the fuck are you on man?
Instablaster.
"you seem like a really nice person" omg the CUTEST thing ever. And what an awesome question and genuine interesting reply
I'm so glad he lived. Iggy Pop is one of my favorite artists.
I find Iggy so vulnerable and human here
Keri he is vulnerable and real
Always, I've being binge watching his interviews, and he's always so open & sincere!

The Stooges broke up in 1975, before punk rock happened.
@@smkxodnwbwkdns8369 Some people were more into it than you and don’t remember the fvcking dates. That was in the video.
Iggy was very warm, I understand more and more his friendship with Bowie
Personally I think Bowie got more out of his friendships with Lou Reed & Iggy than what he gave. Incredibly cultivated person, though!
What an absolutely wonderful interview. Thank you so much for sharing this! 🖤
Two huge influences in my life! Thanks for it all!
Great interview - two legends both on fine form
,,, ' best " caster n ' rockiest " rocker ...
Who would have known from the music that this guy is such a class act.
Well done! Iggy is the best!!
2 unusually talented ppl who are strangely normal, or at least appear so to me.

Lockdown London England ✌
It seems like the smart and very attractive, interviewer really did a great job and that Jim really liked her intelligent and relaxed questions
I met Iggy once. Shook those huge hands
I don't worship iggy or his music, but he is the coolest guy on the planet
Well done Melena! you are my kind of girl!
VINCE STAPLES>.......so rad. Love this talk! gotta look up all these other bands (if I can spell their names haha)
Thank you TimesTalks!
...Iggy´s a little bad on the hearing, is he? but it´s all fun to watch and i find the guys relaxed, cool and gentle.
40 years of Roaring rock n roll does that to ya
WHAT CAN I SAY MORE ? LONG LIVE TO HIM. (IM NOT TALKING ABOUT JARMUSH )
anybody else freaked out seeing Iggy in a suit? ;-)
he cleans up nicely
such a lucky thing to have Iggy
~1:14:00 "cringe-worthy elements"
whoever you are: nothing cringe-worthy about Iggy slathering peanut butter on himself. more embarrassing that you wouldn't
That was really great & informative cant wait to see this flick.
A friend of my young daughter said she had a new Iggy cd. She put it on. It was an Australian rapper. My daughter was not pleaed.
at 35 minutes the wall graffiti story just made the stooges’ story way more relatable 🤣
I admire both Jim’s and honestly Mr osterberg the most
Greatness shining here. ❤️

😅Dead Man (which Iggy was in for a few minutes) was a great movie directed by Jim Jarmusch, I think😅
det er bare så godt det her :-)elsker at lytte til ham og hans dejlige måde at grine på ;-)
Ha! Jarmusch looks like a giant next to them especially at 51:17. Plus he hasn't changed at all the last... 30 years...
Jims hair is like a high-rise combover wtf?
Iggz the king, as ever.
is JIM JARMUSCH really ART GARFUNKEL.
Hahahaha never saw that
Or Sid Vicious maybe?
I'm an Ohio boy, love Iggy and Jim, it's all great and true.
Iggy's a proper grandpa now
How is his hair so nice at his age?!
Jim Jarmusch does have fabulous hair........😮😮😮
I'm 63 & have great long hair.
Thanks You, Iggy.
That totally reminds me, I do need some coffee.

Is this on Netflix? Anyone?
It's interesting that the jar of peanut butter was handed up from the crowd to Jimmy from Stiv Baters of the DeadBoys !
I almost have Jim's hair. Almost. Never figured out what's holding it up. Now men use texturizer instead of gel, but still......

1:08:11 What band is his favorite? i can't make it out
Sleaford Mods
It's true that Iggy is very likeable.
Which is his favorite band's name? I didnt get it. Tks
Sleaford Mods
I love that he’s into Death Grips lol
"Dead Man" is remarkable, as are these gentlemen ...I mean "maniacs"
What did Iggy say, what is his favourite band? At 1:08:14
Sleaford Mods.
"We're Midwesterners..."
,,, gotta luv' th' igg' ...
Yea i 💘 iggy he's the 😎 est
Prefuse 73 1:07:45
Alexander Laurence i wish the interview was just about the music they liked current and otherwise. Also death grips wtf!
Is that Wolverine?

Universal Basic Income today! give money to the homeless today!
Sista has some nice legs
I'm a huge Iggy Pop fan, but honestly, whose hair is worse, Iggy's fake weave/wig or Jim Jamusch or whatever the name is?
107.00
1:21:7 groupie alert
sixsigmasix I caught that too
😅 iggy wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the GREAT Ron Asheton! 😂
the movie sort of sucked

that's a secret only their hairstylist knows,
This is dreadful. Iggy is not relaxed. Crap questions in the main. See interview with VICE and better with Thurston Moore. Much more the man!!

Exaggeration the stooges the best band...Bullshit!!!
Jim J’s films are unwatchable and box office poison
His films speak to smart, interesting, introspective mature people. That kind of leaves you OUT.
@@spaceghost8995 true story..

so is there any doubt iggy was the beginning of punk
