I was in high school during this tour, and I understand the logistics of not being able to take so many musicians and the set up on a larger tour but it's sad it was not anywhere near me at all, I couldn't make a 7 hour trip without a license :'( it sounds so glorious, just unlike anything anyone was doing at the time.

Pumpkins were never the same after they fired Jimmy Chamberlin. They were still very good during this era, but without Jimmy it's just not the same.

Yes, I bought his, or their, albums, and saw them 3 times (maybe 4 times) in Toronto over time, many many years ago, always a good show !

i prefer these rock versions so much more than the electronica style of the album.. thank God it was a short lived phase.

it's so weird hearing Kevin Haskins playing in a standard rock and roll style. he's such a unique drummer, with Bauhaus, Tones On Tail, Love & Rockets - this just seems banal for him, but was probably a good learning experience (not to mention reconnecting with Peter)

Perry got bored with “normal” life a long, long time ago…he certainly is a musical visionary…

I was fortunate enough to see Jane's 3, ,maybe 4 times. Live, it occured to me how much of Jane's music is long, amazing guitar solos by Dave. It doesn't come over quite like that on the albums, but live, it's like half the music is Dave shredding soulful riffs. He's kinda amazing.

Damn they are so good! What a great show! My most favorite band of all time and I WAS THERE. I had tickets and anticipated this show for a really, really, really long time because the tour got delayed and it finally came. OMG and now it's so far in the past! Funny how time goes so slow when you have something to look forward to.....and here we are almost 16 years later and I've had the privilege of seeing them 8 times since. Anyhow, I had two tickets to the Charlotte show in 2008 and took my 8 year old son who danced his ass off until just after the 1st encore.....close to 2 hours straight. Then he sort of tuckered out using my brand new red and black striped 4Tour Cure shirt as a pillow on the stadium seat arm rest. He is 24 now and he teaches 7th grade Geography. We had the BEST TIME EVER and he will always remember it as his first concert. I took him to see them again last year in Atlanta night #2.

They went 45 minutes without playing a song not off Adore. They only played 3 songs from Mellon Collie, zero from Siamese, zero from Gish. This was a complete break from the past and took a lot of balls. It was a big fork in the road for Corgan - the poor reception to this period seemed to trigger abour 15 years of different course corrections...
