No matter how many times I go to Disney Sea I'm always blown away by the attention to detail. It's amazing at night and Sea of Dreams is jaw dropping. Great list for the rides. I would have had Soaring higher, but your logic for each ranking was on point. Nice work.
Thanks friend! Yeah it’s SO NICE to have a nighttime show back at the park! And the attention to detail never stops astonishing me even after so many visits. Soaring is BEAUTIFUL and if I hadn’t been riding it in other parks for so many years I’d have probably rated it higher.
@@8bitthemepark Being from Australia and not yet having visited the US it was our first time on a Soaring ride. The thing that got me was the SMELLS! The grass when flying over Africa. The smell of Jasmine over India. Etc. Blew my mind.
I’ve been on Shanghai’s Soarin’ like four five times before visiting SEA for the first time in 2019 (the exact year Soaring opened), so we skipped it without hesitation. Then. In 2022, I revisited the park and thought what the heck, I’ll ride the damn thing. I was blown away all over again. The cue itself was something else already, and even though the projection and smells were mostly the same, something about Tokyo’s Soaring felt more Disney to me. Like Shanghai’s feels like a breathtaking ride but SEA’s feels like an actual magical trip. Probably the attention to detail in the cues and ride vehicles that we take in subconsciously
I totally agree, Sinbad ride is the best, perfect soundtrack, expressive animatronics, long slow ride with little queue (a fantastic place to rest your feet after a long day in the park). Maybe I missed something but where is Turtle Talk and Disney Sea Electric Railway though? I love taking those trams to Aquatopia while taking in the view when I arrived at the park.
It’s so good isn’t it 😍🐯 Electric Railway was in there! I left out Turtle Talk, Magic Lamp Theater and Mermaid Lagoon Theater as I felt that those were more like shows than rides.
There are some phenomenal rides there but they definitely need a lot more! The park was designed to have lots of entertainment but now that OLC’s entertainment budget has been decimated they really need some more rides! Sadly I think Fantasy Springs will do more harm than good for at least its first few years.
We're heading here this autumn. I really appreciated this video for it's indepth look into the park and it's rides. The Chiptunes maybe were a bit too loud compared to the voice, but maybe that's my earphones fault. I did find it a bit odd that after calling this the best themepark in the world, you seemed so lackluster on most of the rides. I suppose for you, the atmosphere is what really makes this park great. My ideal park would be a Disney park, with its characters, attention to detail, and it's customer service, mixed with rides you'd see at Six Flags in North America or maybe Movie World in Australia's Gold Coast.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! You're not the first to complain about the music haha, I've turned it down in more recent videos :) Oh I absolutely adore this park, but when trying to pit it's attractions against each other you end up being very critical! Yeah sadly Disney are a bit lacking in the thrill department, it sounds like you're describing USJ so I hope you're heading there in Autumn too!
Raging spirits has an identical coaster at Disneyland Paris and they are designed to look like that (scaffolding) they are not off the shelf for any theme park.
Right you are! They’re custom Intamin coasters aren’t they. I always assumed they were a model because of how compact they are. It’s amazing how different the two are considering the identical track layout. Temple Du Peril is so rough, whereas Raging Spirits is so smooth that it’s boring! Shows you what regular maintenance can do for a ride!
sindbad was closed for me so journey to the center of the earth is still my #1 ride of all time. I don't think sindbad's will beat it for me personally, just because journey is so fantastic with one of the best airtime moments in the world, but we'll see if I ever go back there.
@@8bitthemepark Sindbad's is still probably better than most rides at any other disney park but when (if) I get to ride it I think it would still be number 3 in the park, I don't see how Indiana Jones can't be better 😬 Even then, it still speaks to just how good DisneySea is. Also props to you for being like the only person to make a disneysea ranking!
And for Tokyo DisneySea top ten favorite Rides I’ve seen 10. Aquatopia 9. Toy Story Mania (exterior reminds me of the simpsons exterior in Hollywood and Orlando) 8. Tower of Terror 7. Tangled Adventure 6. Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey 5. Peter Pan’s Adventure (three fantasy springs in a row) 4. 20,000 Leagues under the sea 3. Indiana Jones and the temple of the crystal skull 2. Journey to the Center of the Earth (I’ve already read the book) 1. Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage (the greatest Disney ride I’ve seen)
I came down to the comments to say this. I get that the music may be part of the channel’s branding/theming but the noise becomes grating in a longer video. Perhaps you can move to 16-bit music? (I did appreciate the music choices for each ride!) Anyway, I’ll be in Japan in a month and appreciated the info in the video. Thank you!
Simbad whas my favorite ride!, we got in it three times, I dont know why there wasnt more visited or why the line whas so short all day but it whas so so good and the song whas so soothing
If you want the classic nostalgic Disney experience then go to Disneyland, if you want something really fresh, different and slightly more adult then go to DisneySea. They’re both very different but whichever you pick you’ll have a great time!
I was there today and i think it was beautiful in apperance, but no ride had any thrill. I never was in any Disney Land before, i guess its just a thing that the rides a fancy for sure, but boring. But the day was nice overall.
Yeah they’re all ‘Disney thrills’ at best, nothing is gonna compete with the types of thrills you get at a coaster park like Fuji Q or something. Still, you’ve got to admit they’re damn impressive! Glad you had a good time!
How could this possibly be a better park than Cedar Point or either of the 2 Bush Gardens. Ok I know I know I love roller coaster thrills but the only park to always beat consistently beat Disney on astetics is Busch every year almost without fail This is more emmersive rides but they are just Universal type rides that get DATED so fast like in 19 years cheesy like Jaws that had to be removed and all these rides will grow old and silly even Sinbad Whereas the Big Bad Wolf never should have been tore down from Germany imho at Williamsburg the best garden in America 2nd only to Longewood in Delaware of all places. I know boring DE but I’m not wrong. I grew up 40 minutes from it I should know how epic that estate really is. Dumbledore lives there
You’re not alone! It’s true that the park is stunningly beautiful and detailed, but the ride lineup does leave something to be desired. Fantasy Springs will help a lot but it would also increase crowds and add even more passes and systems you need to use in the app. Once it’s settled in the park is gonna be pretty amazing though.
Have you been to Tokyo DisneySea? Did you agree with my rankings?

Hey mate! This video is awesome, i love your 8-bit versions of the themes! Great work! This made me want to get back to DisneySea ASAP…

Disney Sea was definitely the most beautiful and unique park but the rides were pretty lackluster. Excited to see how Fantasy Springs changes it up

I live close by and have been to the park twice but didnt even know about Sinbad until now. 😂
Time to go again then!
Can you do an updated list with the fantasy springs rides added?
Already did!

I think you were quite harsh on the Mermaid Lagoon indoor rides; the jumping jellyfish is quite nice with its pace IMO
They’re great for what they are! But something has to be at the bottom of the list

I have a new video out now ranking all the rides at both parks including Fantasy Springs!

Hi
We r a young couple without kids going to disney for the first time.
Which one should we do
Disneyland or disney sea if we have to choose one???
If you want the classic nostalgic Disney experience then go to Disneyland, if you want something really fresh, different and slightly more adult then go to DisneySea. They’re both very different but whichever you pick you’ll have a great time!
Go to Disneysea. Why? Because there are 6 Disneylands total in the world but only one Disneysea.

The only thing I disagree is Journey to the Center of the Earth being in Number 2. I'm more of a thriller.
Regardless, this vid is almost accurate.
Totally valid, to be honest the #1 and #2 spots change for me regularly. I just love how the #1 is always a short wait at a park full of long lines!
Ive went there and i was SENT FLYING and i got scared at the lighting, the blowing fire, the MONSTER and the FLING PART
Even n.1 no challenge
