    That was great except for the part where his front bumper took out that cone at which point the tester would stop you and have you pull up and do it again, and dock you points. At least in Oregon that's how it goes.

    I just witness serval mistakes that would have been an automatic fail on a real life road test. He didn't turn on the 4 way flashes and honk the horn before backing up, he also didn't get out to check where his trailer tailgate is angled. Both the Tractor and Trailer wasn't perfectly straight, there were more clearance on the right side. He should have did at least one pull up to the Right and then back up slowly. He also hit that cone if there was a Semi Truck there that would be an accident that just happened. The part where you explained when to turn the wheel amazed me, it was something most videos on RUclips never mentioned. That was the most helpful tips. Thanks to you, I now have a better understanding when to turn the wheel and then 2 counts as you back in slowly.

    • @mikel9567
      @mikel9567 2 года назад +4

      With the exception of the cone, none of those are fails. This is for a CDL-A. You aren't required to get out of your truck to check clearances and you aren't required to do pull ups. Testers don't care about your 4-way flashers or you getting out of your truck to check for obstructions. Most employers won't have you do this on their road test.

      In Ontario Canada on the real road test you can't hit any cones. It would most likely be an automatic fail, not points dock. They also score you on pull-ups, you're only allowed 2 or 3 pull-ups for both 90 degree angle and 45 degree angle and it must be completed in 10 minutes or under.

    Hotshot parking, but I believe for an area with less forward boundary space, he's gonna need to start closer to the driver side boundary and maybe position the trailer at a small angle to initiate the jackknife so more room can be created for any tractor swivels or extra pullups.

      @@jowyjozef COME ON CALL IT WHAT U WANT, IT IS A FAIL NO MATTER WHAT JUST FOR THE REASON THE DRIVER DIDN' T GET OUT TO CHECK ALONE IN ORDER TO SEE HOW CLOSE HE IS TO THE CONE. IN REAL LIFE ONE WOULD HAVE HIT THE HOOD OF ANOTHER TRUCK BECAUSE USUALLY ON MOST TRUCK STOPS U DON' T HAVE THAT MUCH ROOM IN ORDER TO SWING AROUND IN ONE JUMP. THAT IS A FACT. SO TRAIN PEOPLE REALISTICALLY.

      That freaking cone won't be there at David. That's why no one cares. In the dmv alley dock that cone won't be there. It was there set up for a different maneuver.
