Paisano !! I'm a fellow Catracho. love the video. thank you for taking the time to explain the process step by step. I'm paying $300 a day to practice on a truck and the guys that's helping me doesn't explain it as well as you. Good job, compa' !!
This is a amazing video with one cam only and the position of the cam is so right when is turning right or left and the Instructor is amazing too,If all instructors like him means they know how to teach the new drivers I think 50% less truck backing accidents.Sir keep doing great job!!! Salute to you Sir!!
+Aman Gill Thank you very much and I definitely tried to show you guys the vest possible view along with explaining it. Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
This video is the best video/explanation of backing 90 that I have found. You're clear with your explanations and the greatest part is the camera set up, I can see the full trailer view and front tire to see exactly what you're doing and what the trailer is doing. I've never driven a class A, onlt B so far,but looking to move up to A some day.
thank you Junior, I got my CDL-A on december of 2014, but I never drove, I am planning on start driving in next 2 years, these videos are extremely helpful.
Thanks for the knowledge that you are giving in this video. It's very helpful especially for me since I am looking to get into the trucking industry. Again, thanks!
Good video, appreciate your training. Week 3 in the real world still getting out making sure tractor and trailer are straight in the box lined up together.
+rockinrowdyjimmyd James my man, It was a oleasure to have you as a student on my truck man. That is good you are still getting out to look at your trailer. NEVER take it for GRANTED. Week 3 of many more to come. Be safe out there.
That is a beautiful truck you're driving...Thank you for this video...very helpful as I am in school now and about to start learning/practicing the 90.
Junior Honduras I think I saw you(or somebody with a Prime truck just like the one in this video) on my way back to school. It was crazy because I had just watched your vid that weekend.
I'm a yard shifter for UPS. I was trained to try to bring the trailers over the driver side line and not to go directly into the bay between both lines. And we put the trailer tires right next to the line. Good video. Good trainer. Nice truck!
Bud, I learned so much from you, that it is mind blowing. I just started driving(got my CDL A) 3 weeks ago and have taken only your advice on how to back or park! Thank you so much for these videos and keem em comin! GOOD LUCK and wish to see ya some day at a truck stop and thank you in person! :)
Thank you very much it actually help to have the camera attached to that side of the truck because am able to see the tires and the trailer movement. thank you am watching it couple of times.
The thing is that I have a food truck (actually a trailer) and I am learning to park the trailer backing up. It is not the same that a big truck but the same principle. I have watched many videos but this one is the best. Good job and thanks for it.
I been having trouble doing this and the 45 in my class. I can never time it but this video shows so much info that my instructors are missing. Imma try this out, thanks for your videos man
Mr. junior your awesome bro, keep it coming. I’m glad I find your videos, now I’m learning some of your tricks and tips as a professional truck drivers. 👍👍
Thank you for sharing this information. I'm really thinking about becoming a truck driver and I'm trying to soak up as much information possible. I'm going to subscribe to your channel.

I saw your video posted up on youtube wall and i just subscribe i use to drive trucks man u know at CRST getting trained there was a nerve wrecking they had me doing more driving than backing up and i know how to drive but i told them backing is what i needs working on with but they didnt give a sh** but anyway this is helpful to me im thinking bout going back out there and find a comp that would train right and make sure my backing gets worked on first before anything thank u for the tools u sharing on here

Junior, please do video on where driver side rear of trailer needs to be entering the hole so plenty of room on passenger side. Thank you very much for all your videos.
Great video Junior. I just found you on you tube. I only wish my trainer would of explained it this way, but I went with Swift to get my CDL. I did my year with them and went to another company and been there for several years. My question is though, wouldn't be easier to pull the tandems back to give you more of a curve on the plain and have less trailer sticking out while backing 90 degrees? But then again, there are some DC's where you don't have the time or space to do that. 3's and 8's good buddy, keep up up the great vids and watch out for bear bait. Subscribed
+Bill H Thank you and thanks for subscribing. You are right about the tandems being to the back more to have less of an over hang on trailer but not always will you be with tandems back so its better to practice with the tandems in any position. Thank you again 👍👍
OK NADA ESPERO CUANDO TENGAS TIEMPO LO HAGAS EN ESPANOL PARA YO SEGUIR ENTENDIENDO A LA PERFECCION ESYO DE LA POCICION ANTES DE EMPESAR LA MANIOBRAS DE MARCHA ATRAS .YA QUE COMO TE DIGO CADA VES QUE LE PREGUNTABA A LOS ENTRENADORES MIOS .UNO NO TENIA NINGUNA TECNICA PARA ENSENAR Y EL OTRO ME DECIA QUE NO HABIA UN LIBRITO QUE ERA SOLO TALENTO.RESULTADO DE ESTO NO PASE LA PRUEBA DESPUES DE EL TRINER POR QUE NUNCA ME ENSARON CORRECTAMENTE EL BACKING
+nate99z Thank you and I'm glad you liked it. Not over steering is one of the keys to backing up. Like I said in one of the videos "small moves equals small corrections".
Another key point for me was keeping the wheels moving, untill you know you missed it and have to pull forward, so you know what the trailer is doing and can make steering adjustments as ur backing.
Thanks man..this vid helped with my alley dock in school. Do you have a vid on down shifting when approaching a red light or stop sign or slowing down adjusting your speed? I'm still in training. I have my state exam on the 26th of Oct. My down shifting sucks and I have panic attacks every time I'm approaching a red light or stop sign or slowing down. I grind gears to hell and back when i down shift and forgetting what gear I'm in. My instructor yacking in my ear saying faster faster!!!!!..lol
+rzz1122 I appreciate that and thank you for watching. I dont have a video on down shifting YET and yes keyword YET. I will soon though. On the downshifting you have to watch your RPMs and then downshift. When approaching a red light start to downshift ahead of time. You are already supposed to be looking ahead so if its a STALE GREEN light you know its about to turn yellow and possibly. Depending on where you are talk out loud and say to yourself, "I'm in 10the going tk 9th, watching my RPMs, clutch, gear out, rev, clutch, gear in 9th" and so on. wish you were training me when I tried to be a truck driver.maybe I still be doing it. I tried to do it off and on for 5 years.the trainers I had just wanted me to do team driving. so I was never comfortable being out there on my own.
hey, I am reading the book for CDL A and taking those fake tests to see how well I do... but I was wondering if there is some sort of truck simulator around that will let me see how that works more or less before start taking truck driving training.....
+Orlando Benjamin There are some games out there but I am not sure what they are called and no there isn't any page where you can simulate a truck. Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
How many spots do you go pass the space your going in? It looks like the back of your trailer went 1 space pass yours...however its hard to tell when yoyr driving so can you count the spaces the front of your truck goes?
+ERIC WHITE Prime's training has 2 phases. First phase you are learning to get your CDL which is a minimum of 2 weeks out on the road and up to 4 weeks depending on you. Second phase is where you already have your license and you are just learning the ins-and-outs of the work which is a requirement of 30000 miles. After that if you are good then you are able to get on your own truck. If you feel that you need more training then at that point you talk to your trainer and you proceed to getting a few more weeks and then boosting that confidence up before getting your truck. Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
+Jason Chadd It's alright and I'm here to answer all the questions anyone has. If I don't have an answer I will be sure to get one to you as soon as I can. Back to your question. You have to be in front of the truck enough that when you first start backing (which is when you start turning the wheel right) in the video at 3:05 I stop and if you notice the truck in front of me its enough space away from me. Enough that when I start to back up I can actually turn the wheel and not stop due to the truck being in the way. So its hards to say how much space and obviously you dont want to be too far off and not too close either but you want to get it as close as you can without it having any affect on your backing. I hope it helps. Thank you 👍👍

+Romello Hawkins yes and they help you save 3% on fuel every year or at least that's what they tell us, 😅😅😅
thanks for taking the time to show the correction not just explain it. watching the front tire too, you didn't over steer to correct.

Sorry for all the questions Junior how far away do you need to be in front of the truck to do a 90°?
+Jason Chadd It's alright and I'm here to answer all the questions anyone has. If I don't have an answer I will be sure to get one to you as soon as I can.
Back to your question. You have to be in front of the truck enough that when you first start backing (which is when you start turning the wheel right) in the video at 3:05 I stop and if you notice the truck in front of me its enough space away from me. Enough that when I start to back up I can actually turn the wheel and not stop due to the truck being in the way. I hope it helps. Thank you 👍👍
