Earth, Wind & Fire are one of the most dynamic and creative funk bands to come out of the seventies and also one of the most successful. The group was led by Maurice White and this new DVD & CD release captures them on stage in Japan in1990 during the last tour that Maurice made with the group following the release of the "Heritage" album. Spectacularly staged as ever, the concert features all their best loved songs.
The DVD is out now and includes the hits "Let's Groove", "September", "System Of Survival", "Fantasy", "After The Love Has Gone", "Shining Star", and more.

Except he doesn't seem to play the bass part here. More than once his hands are not where they are supposed to be. I suspect he delegated the bass part to be sung by someone in the background and he's only dancing over there. There is no way you can be that groovy and jump around, especially when you are suppose to be plucking strings with your right hand and your right hand is in the air... and the sound is NOT that of a hammer-on...
I do respect artists that create something in the studio but I really like to see them playing live as opposed of just gracing us with their presence. A bass player is, in the first place, a player and not a dancer. If you can do both, great. But try to focus on playing or, alternatively, give up the instrument altogether and jump around...
@@BogdanA74 I noticed that too.. either the video was shot during a different night (which they do sometimes) or someone else was playing the bass. But i was absolutely listening to the busy bassline being nailed as he was doing his aerobics. Not impossible, but highly improbable.
EW&F will be loved for centuries to come! Their music is timeless!!!!

Im 20 years old, always hear this song at least once per day, i can't explain the intense good vibes that this masterpiece transmites to me. I have a serious personality and I don't usually smile. When I listen to every second of its duration it disappears and I smile from end to end. Today I almost cried with happiness, thanks to this magnificent song.

As far as I'm concerned Earth Wind and Fire are a national treasure who still pour 100% energy and love in every concert.
There aren't many 70' groups that are still loved by todays young people.

She grew up loving this group and this song because I played their music all the time and told her the docs said she was due on 9/21 but she was stubborn and waited nine more days, lol! . But, here’s THE BEST…She was married on September 21, 2020! The very last song at her reception was September by EW&F. Everyone was dancing and singing along with it and it was AWESOME! 😊
