- Earth, Wind & Fire (recently chosen as one of the honorees at the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors) performed a concert in NYC on The Early Show on July 16, 2003. They performed 3 songs: "All In The Way", their first single from their then new 2003 album "The Promise". They also performed their classic hits "September" and "Boogie Wonderland". Hannah Storm, a news anchor on The Early Show, also interviewed the group. Maurice White, Verdine White, Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson were present.

Allee Willis was a songwriter for 2 of the songs from this concert: "September" and "Boogie Wonderland". She also wrote the "Friends" theme song show opening.
Maurice was an excellent musician. God bless him.
He was a graduate of the Chicago Conservatory of Music.
In 1994 we had them here in Chicago. Teena Marie was also here. The best Concert I ever attended. Calm, beautiful music. 🎶 my little personal Woodstock 😆

This was the very best on the 70s, seeing Maurice dealing with Parkinson's is hard I really love his music, and this band. Verdine was my inspiration to play the bass.
Good to see Maurice up there enjoying himself.
But sadly he's not young anymore and tired to singing and dancing with member band 'Earth,Wind,and Fire.

Because is old of age and he can't sing and not have spirit to sing of song since he still young age 40 in 70s.until now his old age👨-👴
He had Parkinson's disease diagnosed in the mid 80s and due this condition stopped touring in 1994. He just couldnt sing as before anymore. However it was just so good to see him on stage

I didn't know EWF recorded the first song in the set. I've heard that song on a local radio station recently but it was from another artist/group. I'm just realizing that was a cover...this is amazing to me

Its June 28,2023. EWF is in concert near me in Cincinnati Ohio tonight. Wish I could be there. Unfortunately im 14 yrs in a wheelchair. 70 yrs old. Am able to go but RIVERBEND VENUE HAS VERY FEW ADA SEATS. PEOPLE WHO WANT DESPERATELY TO SEE THE BANDS IN THIS TIME PERIOD ARE AGING AND NOBODYS CARES!! That is very sad. There are people who r younger who love these band but those of us who listened to them as young people need wheelchairing space. The 3 remaining members of EWF are 72 yrs old!!! So look at it from my point of view. The fans of the 1970's are not young anymore. PLEASE AMERICA DONT KEEP LIMITING US FROM GOING OUT and having a good time even in a chair. When venues book these 70's bands PLEASE arrange seating with room for those of us in chairs❤❤❤❤
I'm sry I got off track. So pls accept my apology. I agree with all of u who love EWF. I have lived them since I first heard them in the 70'S. I had the gift of seeing them and The Isley Brothers in Indianapolis when I was 23. What a show! Everyone was having a great time dancing singing having so much fun. I couldnt count all the instruments actually being played. Unlike today with all on one instrument. Best music ever!
