@@MuziciansPage as something with really wide shoulder I do find it rattled a lot at the wide setting due to the bottom pieces being held by pins versus being one solid bar...that being said there is zero “give” to it so it doesn’t move but a few millimeters to create rattle. I was thinking of changing to an adjustable width and height bars, from the bars I have that are only adjustable height. Not really looking to buy the b-bars, but is 24 inches ideal for parallel bars , given that my shoulder width is longer than 24 inches? I see you using the bars and I like how in some exercises when both hands are on one bar, you have this really good shoulder width that I can tell is way more than 24 inches, if this makes sense

If you already have a pull up bar and can use it, would it be better to just get some rings instead? Especially if you don’t have a lot of room? Thanks for all the info, i just found your channel while looking into rings vs dip bars.

Ryan, was wondering if you ever tried doing tricep extentions (leaning against the bar with your bodyweight.) How does it handle lateral force opposed to upward/downward?
Idk about tricep extensions but bodyweight skull crushers are great on a bar. You can progress by changing the angle. The closer you are to parallel with the floor, the harder
Iv had mine for a while now and I do like them but yeh I did get mine full of rust and the grip anoys me to this day. Still I have gained strength. I hope someone makes a better bar thickness and without the rust would be perfect.
Yes. Height adjustable Parallel bars are the most versatile form of bars. The only bodyweight equipment more versatile are rings, but the instability of rings makes them incredibly challenging for beginners. Rings also require a specific environment to hang them safely (I-beam or a fixed bar).
@@rasheemthebestfirstone3274 i absolute love the b-bars now. however i do prefer using my rings lately so my bars are sitting in the corner of the room as i do almost all of my workouts with just gymnastic rings.
Can I get a more comprehensive workout with the B-Bars than with the Basebar? What functionality will I miss with the Basebar? It is $100 cheaper than the B-Bars. Thank you.
Yes, you can. Since the B-Bars are essentially two BaseBars that lock together with adjustable height and width, you can do virtually every upper body exercise with them. What they provide that the BaseBar alone doesn’t is the ability to do parallel bar/parallette exercises like neutral grip pull ups, standard dips, L-sits, tucked planche, p-bar handstands and so on.
Several minutes. I’d say that’s the only downside to the b-bars, the set up takes a good 3 minutes or so, so don’t expect to do supersets with height changes between.
so I just bought b bars a few days ago… and I’m wondering how do you do pull ups and chin ups if you’re not that good at them. Im decent but it seems the only method of pull ups you can do are L sit with these. (Which are hella hard to do lol) what would you recommend to practice to get better at those because I can only do 2-4 everytime and I’m sure my form is awful. Plz help thank you
Congrats on getting the B-Bars! I still use mine regularly in my routine. I recommend working on your L-sit pull up through a combination of hangs (bottom and top position), negatives and band-assisted reps. Hopefully this tutorial helps you out! L-Sit Pull Ups Tutorial | Full Guide With Progressions ruclips.net/video/wEahB-TjjaY/видео.html
Yes, you can do chin ups / pull ups on one side and it won’t tip over. You just need to do them in an L-sit (legs straight out) since the bars are lower than a typical pull up bar.
Hi I found this product via my IG feed. I live in an apartment, and currently looking to do pull-ups, dips, etc. When I can across this product I thought it very promising. Do you think this product would be suitable for really tall people? I'm 6'6'', and just a bit hesitant that it may not work as well due to my height. Cheers would be great to get the feedback, especially is you have testimony from other people
At 6’6” you’ll probably have to use the high setting for dips and other upright exercises. The high setting is 52” so not sure if that will work for you for l-sit pull ups and other hanging exercises. You might want to reach out to their support at hello@baseblocks.fit and ask them about their max height recommendations.
@@MinusTheGym thanks for the reply. I did reach out to them, and they said that I would most likely have my arms bent on the L-sit. They did gave me some insight in to some other products I might be able to use.
@@MinusTheGym hahahaha they do. But in Europe it will be available in june 2023. So I wanna know if its worth the wait. It is a longer design with more stability. Also a GSP design. Thanks for the fast reply!
Yes, I’m able to, but if I’m not careful the bars tip, so I put my weight vest on the feet of the opposite side to prevent the tipping. They may or may not tip during the negative depending on how much you weigh.
Honesty, the basebar pro only has collapsible feet for better storage. That’s it. I did a comparison video between original vs pro for the basebar and that was about it in terms of difference. B-Bars have my vote if you have the storage for them. They’re bigger, but way more versatile than a single basebar.
M O I’d pick B-Bars for sure because they’re more versatile. You can do a lot more exercises with two bars. Plus, the fact that they’re interlocking makes them stable, but you can adjust width to hit the muscles from various angles.
@@MinusTheGym Thanks for the reply Sir. Do you think the B-Bars or the Basebar is more stable when fully extended (at max height)? I was also wondering if you think the 2 basebars (combined) would provide more stability/less wobble than the B Bars due to the wider/longer feet?
@@darkrinji The B-bars feel more stable at max height compared to a basebar because they interlock together. That interlocking feature adds to the stability. I'm not really able to answer the question about 2 basebars combined though because I've never tried it. I recommend reaching out to hello@baseblocks.fit. I bet their support team will be able to answer your questions and make a recommendation.
I guess shipping to Europe is gonna kill the value of the product. The weight of that package! I like the idea very much of the b-bars . It's a genius product 👍 I had my Decathlon bars adapted at a local metal shop, added 15cm because they were too short. And I love every 50€ of that mod.(which doubled their price). Still pity they're not adjustable like this one. Ça ne devrait pas être trop difficile ou cher pour quelqu'un qui construit des choses comme des balustrades ou escaliers, même en inoxydable. Yes. Height adjustable Parallel bars are the most versatile form of bars. The only bodyweight equipment more versatile are rings, but the instability of rings makes them incredibly challenging for beginners. Rings also require a specific environment to hang them safely (I-beam or a fixed bar).
What would you say is the benefit of this over lebert fitness dip bars? Curious since I’m looking to buy dip bars
What’s your opinion on it?
@@rasheemthebestfirstone3274 i absolute love the b-bars now. however i do prefer using my rings lately so my bars are sitting in the corner of the room as i do almost all of my workouts with just gymnastic rings.
I want to buy these after watching this great vid. Do you have a discount code I can use to support you?
Haha nm MINUS10 ty
are these better than a pull up tower?
Can I get a more comprehensive workout with the B-Bars than with the Basebar? What functionality will I miss with the Basebar? It is $100 cheaper than the B-Bars. Thank you.
Yes, you can. Since the B-Bars are essentially two BaseBars that lock together with adjustable height and width, you can do virtually every upper body exercise with them. What they provide that the BaseBar alone doesn’t is the ability to do parallel bar/parallette exercises like neutral grip pull ups, standard dips, L-sits, tucked planche, p-bar handstands and so on.
@@MinusTheGym Thank you!
How long does it take to attach the 2 bars back together?
Several minutes. I’d say that’s the only downside to the b-bars, the set up takes a good 3 minutes or so, so don’t expect to do supersets with height changes between.
Awesome!
Can you tuck your knees when doing pull-ups or can only do a L- sit when doing pull-ups
Might these replace paralletes while also offering more exercise options?
He has a video showing the equipment he recommends, if i remember correctly he does recommend both even though they look and act similar.
so I just bought b bars a few days ago… and I’m wondering how do you do pull ups and chin ups if you’re not that good at them.
@@MinusTheGym thank you, appreciate it!
Start in the knee raise position rather than the leg raise position. Progress to one leg out one leg in, and finally, full L sit.
Can I do chin-ups instead of neutral grip pull ups on this alone or will it fall over?
Does this replace your dip bar?
How can i be an affiliate for base block?
Not sure 🤔 They reached out to me early last year on Instagram. I don’t know if there’s an application or anything on their site.
Could you compare b bars with b bars pro?
Not yet. I didn’t even know they made a B-Bars Pro 😳
@@MinusTheGym hahahaha they do. But in Europe it will be available in june 2023. So I wanna know if its worth the wait. It is a longer design with more stability. Also a GSP design. Thanks for the fast reply!
Could you do negative Muscle Ups on one bar without breaking it?
Yes, I’m able to, but if I’m not careful the bars tip, so I put my weight vest on the feet of the opposite side to prevent the tipping. They may or may not tip during the negative depending on how much you weigh.
The Kalashnikov makes this contraption look like a sick camel.
Dosnt look too stable when doing pull ups
Thank you step dad
No shipping to Europe though
What is your height and shoulders width?
b-bars vs basebar pro?
Honesty, the basebar pro only has collapsible feet for better storage. That’s it. I did a comparison video between original vs pro for the basebar and that was about it in terms of difference. B-Bars have my vote if you have the storage for them. They’re bigger, but way more versatile than a single basebar.
@@MinusTheGym thanks!
How tall are you ?
5’11”
Has anyone know or have any thoughts if the base blocks and specifically the BBars for someone who is 6'4"?
How tall are you?
About 5’10” - 5’11”, somewhere in there
@@MinusTheGym Thanks for the reply. Are exercises like the L-sit chin-up possible if you're 6'3"? Or would I just end up sitting on the floor
If you had to make the choice between buying the Basebar and the B-Bars what would you pick and why?
M O I’d pick B-Bars for sure because they’re more versatile. You can do a lot more exercises with two bars. Plus, the fact that they’re interlocking makes them stable, but you can adjust width to hit the muscles from various angles.
@@MinusTheGym Thanks for the reply Sir. Do you think the B-Bars or the Basebar is more stable when fully extended (at max height)? I was also wondering if you think the 2 basebars (combined) would provide more stability/less wobble than the B Bars due to the wider/longer feet?
@@MinusTheGym ?
@@darkrinji The B-bars feel more stable at max height compared to a basebar because they interlock together. That interlocking feature adds to the stability. I'm not really able to answer the question about 2 basebars combined though because I've never tried it. I recommend reaching out to hello@baseblocks.fit. I bet their support team will be able to answer your questions and make a recommendation.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It looks like the perfect equipment to get for calisthenics at home especially with the gyms being closed but sadly it can't be shipped to Europe 😭
I believe that’s only due to Covid. To my understanding, they’ll be resuming international shipping once the pandemic is over.
@@MinusTheGym Good to know, I'll see how expensive are the shipping rates to France when it will be possible.
I guess shipping to Europe is gonna kill the value of the product. The weight of that package!
I like the idea very much of the b-bars . It's a genius product 👍
I had my Decathlon bars adapted at a local metal shop, added 15cm because they were too short. And I love every 50€ of that mod.(which doubled their price). Still pity they're not adjustable like this one.
They ship to europe drop them a mail
Yep base-ically, it has become a Base-ment now .
😂 nice
@@MinusTheGym great content man, keep up the good work. Love what you're doing in your channel . Thanks for replying :D . made my day.
Base Blocks has great customer service. I had a fairly significant issue with the Adjustable Parallel Bars I just received, and they offered a full refund or a replacement at their expense including shipping. I opted for the replacement.
What exactly was your issue?
@@YuriNoirProductions The Parallel Bars I received had an alignment defect in the T-bases, making it impossible to insert all the click pins. Base Blocks is aware of a limited number that got past their quality control, and they readily agreed to refund or replace.
@@alanbreedlove7191 oh man. I had great experiences with their customer service so far. But my shipping got delayed by three month...i hope mine are fine when they arrive :D
I have a parches
I have Parallel Bar
Does someone have one of these bars and wants to sell them to me for a nice price?
Show us some work on the bars yo
Stay tuned for follow along workouts!
Damn I already bought it, could’ve saved 10% lol, learn from me, be patient lol
Jony Sin's perfect L-sit tutorial 👍 🤣🤣🤣
Prince in Pakistan
to expensive !!!!
I hate that so much equipment is so expensive :(
Hardly adjustable You need two people the fit is so tight.
I actually didn’t like it for this too when I first got them, even put them in my review. It’s been almost a year now and I have to say … its no longer an issue!
How’s yours going?
$250 is steep but I’m sure it’s worth it
🤣🤣Baseblocks need to improve the ease of set up..should not be up to you to save their butts..."with all the packaging you have"...15 min...needs to be down to 5 min
What is the point of having dip bars built for the height of a midget? I hate the design of todays dip bars. They are too short for serious use and weighted dips.
