Here in the UK our decking gets so slimy with the winter weather, I've had 2 nasty falls and have only been here 15 months! Am going to clean my decking soon as Spring is here, your ideas are great and I like the way you don't spend money needlessly yet still have a lovely area, well done you!

I love the color of your deck,i,m happy too see another color on a deck,instead of oak stain,dark wood stain, yours is different & out of sight I loooooove it,.
Now you just need to toss out the metal furniture for some custom wood pieces! At first I was telling “sand the deck and stain it blue” but honestly your paint turned out nice and clean and hopefully will last you a long time! Recently I’m wanting to build my dogs a jungle gym or custom (all wood, natural landscape for my drought area and concrete) play area that my two can climb up and play off so much of their Aussie energy. Yes I live my dogs that much! Lol anyways around my tree is some nice fescue grass and a lot of bald spots that are thanks to both Granger and the shade of the tree and either I’m going to build a level grounded deck to prevent anymore muddy paws from decorating my floors or another material to prevent dirt from becoming mud in the rare events that it rains. It’s a huge pain in the butte at least there are always solutions. FYI, I thought of “Big” female YTer that built a fabulous corner bench with a built in pergola like top... similar to your corner bench you recently added and it wouldn’t take a way from your view only add to a simple, private retreat of sorts and shade for under a hot 🥵 sun. Anyways, her build is fantastic, gorgeous, well built and her personality is fun, Big is perhaps Japanese, not really sure but you might check out the corner pergola.
Haha Thank you So much! You are right about the seating. That was my plan but I found out I was pregnant and didn't have the energy to take on a large build this past summer. But hopefully next Summer I'll be able to make some things. The pergola with corner bench sounds fantastic
Loved the makeover, however, instead of a blue deck color, I would have liked to see it covered it in charcoal black, matte or other neutral color to make it pop against your existing house color. I would have liked to see a stain on the deck railings or matching color to the deck floor. Loved the creativity of the stencil art rug❤!

Just discovered your channel. Love it! Subbing for sure. The deck makeover looks fantastic, especially the railing system. I figured you must have had some DIY examples to follow when you were growing up and you confirmed that a few videos ago. I can always recognize the signs. Before my brothers came along I was my father's little apprentice. I'm in my 60's now and I'm ridiculous with my acquisition of proper tools now that our boys are grown and not sucking up all our money. Some older gals garden, but I'm building things!
