If you put the pots of hostas in your garage they will over winter just fine. I would try this with the little hedges too. Love your patio as I do everything you do.. You are so creative.❤❤
I want to come and hang out on your patio, Sherry! So cozy and inviting. You must get great pleasure spending time out there. Thank you for these patio pointers.
I wouldn't advise getting a wisteria for your arbor... unless you enjoy trimming vines everyday. They grow very fast and can bring down your whole patio or raise a loose roof shingle. Something less aggressive may suit you better.
Wisteria tore the gutters off my house. I would also avoid passion flower and trumpet vine. You will never get rid of them. If you want a large flowering vine, get a clematis Montana. They get huge but aren’t thuggish.
@@margaretdillinger5090 my friend has it growing in a large pot by her patio so it’s contained. You are correct that it can get out of hand though. Nothing compares to wisteria and trumpet vine. The only way to get rid of them is to move
Good evening Sherry! Your covered patio is so cozy and inviting! Love all of your whimsical decor! It just makes you want to “sit a spell”, chat and sip cold lemonade! Thank you for sharing ways to bring character to an outdoor space! Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸💕
I always find some new & interesting way to decorate my yard after watching a video you have created & once again I am awe struck with how beautful you make things work together. Thank you again for inspiring me to make my place a garden of eden.
It’s a very pretty, comfortable outdoor place. Thank you for sharing it with us. You are extremely talented and a high energy person, it seems. You go, Gal!
Very pretty. One suggestion: think about how hot that bird bath water will get in the sun; you painted a metal container black, which will make it extra hot. And your solar sprinkler within it only works in the sun, so your incentive is to keep it in full sun.
I enjoyed this video so much! I have some items in my stash that I think will be great added into pots on my deck! Thank you for always inspiring me and making me decorate outside the box! You are amazing!
I thought last years patio was very creative, but this years is now my favorite! I was thinking;”No, don’t remove the teapot! It’s so cute!”, but, with the new wall decor stretching so high up the wall, it looks great! Adding little lights and decorative finds to the flower pots is such a good idea. If I didn’t have such a “black-thumb”, (works well both on indoor plants, and outdoor plants!), I’d try some of these for sure! I’m sure I can try the fountain, though…
I love the patterned rug on your solid rug! It really did look so cozy! I also thought your idea of adding various metal decor to your pots is so beautiful! Actually all the details made for such an inviting outdoor space! I'm sure your family is enjoying the gorgeous patio you've created!!⚘️🌹🌺🪻🌳🪴
Only got one thing to say, absolutely gorgeous. Well done, you have created a wonderful family, cosy, outdoor room that's every bit as inviting as the inside of many properties. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾💖
Sherry anything you touch turns into an amazing inviting space or beautiful piece of decor. You patio is no exception. I get so excited for your videos I just know it’s going to be something wonderful.
You call it a patio refresh but it looks like a complete redo. Your choice of plants, accessories, lighting, and vignettes make every place an inviting place to want to sit and relax. Thank you for sharing your spaces.
Ohhhh! Thank you! I looked it up and Google told me “periwinkle,” but I didn’t think that was right. I didn’t know that vinca minor and periwinkle were the same thing!
Hi Sherry, every time I think your patio could not be more beautiful, you surprise me! I love all the inspiration this video offers....and your patio! Many blessings.
Hi Sherry❤ So many unique combinations to make such a cozy inviting space! You are one clever friend! Love the addition of the new umbrella and the carpet! ❤
Having been born and raised in New England, it’s always wonderful when summer rolls around and you can spend more time outdoors. Having a patio like yours, so cozy and inviting, is pure heaven. You always do a wonderful job decorating, in or out. Have you thought about putting lights on the inside of the umbrella? Great when dining at night! And I hope some of your flower choices give off a sweet aroma to help relax you when you’re outdoors. Hope you and your family have a wonderful summer!
Thank you so much! My son played college baseball one summer in Cape Cod, and I fell in love with the East Coast! So beautiful and full of history! Love the idea of adding lights to the umbrella. Thanks for the tip!
@@CanterburyCottage yes, the east coast is very historical, having been one of the original 13 colonies. I absolutely love Cape Cod, so nautical and beautiful shores. Sherry I love your patio refresh😊 You are so good with lighting and vignettes! You’ve inspired me to search for areas to illuminate Thank you for showing areas for safety and for fun
The bane of my existence is what that vine is called!!😂🤦🏻♀️ AKA variegated vinca major (blue periwinkle). It is so invasive in NC. I pull more of that out of my flower bed than actual weeds. It would be pretty though, in moderation. Just keep your eye on it…grows fast and is sneaky. As always, wonderful video Sherry. Love all of your upcycles!

You just have seemingly never ending energy and creativity. I love watching how u recreate from thrift finds. Where I live prices at goodwill and thrift stores are expensive compared to what you seem to find and are never as interesting as yours. But I do enjoy watching you create!!
What a makover! My favorite piece is the wall art from your family room. Very clever and perfect for that wall. One suggestion would be to put a rock in your bird bath for the bird to stand on under the fountain. I had one once and saw that they really liked that.
Love the new arbor and all your plants and planters! I miss you posting in the morning. I used to watch your videos during my breakfast time. Now I have to wait until late evening to watch. Would you reconsider posting early in the day again? Your patio space is beautiful and inviting. Thanks Sherry!
I loved this video. Thanks for sharing it with us. I like the little fountain how you jointed to things together. I also like the plant basket you put down on the arbor. that is so clever. and I have place to do something similar.
Lovely result. We couldn’t do curtains in Australia unless we regularly opened them, inspected and brushed them with a broom as they’d be great hiding / breeding place for the deadly red backed spider.

Wow everything is so beautiful. I remember when you originally did your patio and thought it was so nice then but this time over , spectacular. I want to come and hang out . Lol Home run with the bases loaded Sherry!!!!!!!
I worked at a private garden center for 14 years and I've been gardening for over 30 years. We never sold Wisteria, it is highly invasive, as in it will teardown arbors and fences. If you can find the variety Amethyst Falls it was breed to be less invasive.
I’m chuckling at your comment as in NB, Canada where I live it’s almost impossible to keep wisteria alive let alone invasive. It’s all about the plant Zone you live in
I was thinking the same thing! Wisteria being invasive! In the south the best you can do is stay 3 steps behind it...if your lucky! That and trumpet vines....invasive like kudzu!
Your right. I’ve just spent a week at my sister in laws cutting a wisteria that grew into her gutters roof and even up the telephone and power lines. If anything I would only put wisteria in the arch if she used a pot.
All of the things on my deck are sourced from op shops, recycling centre or market place, but one thing I did buy new was my solar pump, to change out my old electric water feature to solar and spent a "little" bit more to ensure it had battery backup for night time use. Bonus it has a light to see it at night also.
