@@nicobenji0248 I wonder if they had it on easy. On the difficulty I played on, I remember if you didn't do the right moves, time your attacks or counter properly depending on the enemy, you were screwed. Especially when different enemies ganged up on you at once.

Both great concepts and gorgeous to look at but the repetitive nature of the gameplay is why neither did that great. The Order had decent gunplay but it was just shooting the same 3 enemies over and over with 5hrs of cut scenes. Ryse did a little more with QTEs but definitely didn't use them as sparingly as something like God of War where it compliments the action. Ryse was basically one giant QTE with a few repetitive combat sequences. Where I critique Ryse more is how it was developed by a AAA studio while The Order was developed by a studio who really only did small very low budget interactive games and mobile stuff. Hopefully both learned from these releases and maybe one day we will get another Ryse or The Order with much more fleshed out combat.

This game was super easy I had no problem with it on the hardest difficulty. The combat was entirely quick time events it got super dull so after 7 hours I was ready for it to be over. The game looked incredible and I’m a sucker for any game about Rome but honestly the game just felt pretty forgettable

Yes, aside from only making one enemy model per class. Such a beautiful and fun game with an outstanding story and soundtrack, but the enemies are a clone army. Oh yeah, and there's no colourblind options.

Its made on CryEngine, this is one of the best looking engine ever made. Bugy but even older versions look realistic even after many years. Look at Hunt Showdown, that is some great looking game even after 3 years !
Oh yeah love this game. I got one of the achievements I worked hard for on as my wallpaper for Xbox. Forget what it's called but it's kinda yellowish orange with the gladiator in the middle of a bunch of bodies( think it was for like 50 multi kill executions or something)
Seeing people use the base "The only thing they fear is you" is heartbreaking, please look up The Only Thing They Fear Is You V2 Remastered, it fixes the song so much better

QTEs are designed to keep you engaged in one-off scenarios. To each their own, I just don't share the opinion. QTEs being "taboo" is only a phenomenon propagated by popular commentary. It was easy to eat it up and parrot it like you're some kind of scholar. I honestly don't see an issue with them unless it's overdone and inappropriate which I rarely encounter.

I played this when it first released on Xbone as a launch title. It was off its tits for its visuals and gameplay and it still holds up to this day. You were able to call out commands with the xbox mic thing which was pretty cool. Was surprised how many studios and its people worked on this, the end titles went for 30 mins or something
