From the subtle panicking when near a live grenade to the satisfaction of multiple "dings" when you lob a grenade into an encampment to the behemoths right when you thought you were winning, this game did such a good job at keeping you invested in everything going on around you, which isn't something I feel enough fps's have nowadays.
Everyone is talking about immersion and atmosphere and while that is perfected, the other very underrated things are definitely the amazing gunplay. All weapons are different and unique and take skill to master, game was made for casuals and sweats alike. Best Battlefield game of all time in my opinion.
I disagree, the gunplay is not “bad” but is certainly is not casual friendly. The visual recoil on the guns in bf1 is frankly just awful to deal with and can really ruin the experience if gunplay is something you care about. Bf3/4’s gunplay; hell even bfv’s gunplay is superior imo
@@Crimsonlupusdepends on what you consider superior. Bf3/4 favour hard metas, where every player who doesn’t follow the metas are always at a statistical disadvantage (Ace 23, AEK, microbursting). @@viktorceder4985While your example of microbursting AEK is exaggerated, the point stands pretty well in BF1. They heavily changed the way how spread reset works in BF1 and basically removed the microbursting completely, which upsetted a major portion of casual playerbase as they didn't understand how the bullet mechanics worked in this game and the fact that you couldn't treat it the same way as in previous titles. BF1 did amazing job at separating easy to use guns from actually good guns. The game has those weapons that are far superior from all others, but take way more skill, dedication and playstyle adjustments to use effectively. Autoloading 8.35 is s good example of this as it slaps basically everything outside CQB, but the flaw you have to work around is a 5 round clip and the fact that you have to hit 60% of your shots. He contued taking us places after he moved home to New Zealand, either to shop or fly his drones or R/C planes.

It’s crazy you posted a BF1 video I’ve just recently been rewatching all your old game play with matimio, level and X a lot more swearing in those days haha great stuff keep killing it! BF1 is my favorite I still play!
This game was one of my all-time favorite fps game. I still have a video saved where I'm about to burst in through a door where there's an enemy soldier. As I'm running up a set of an outside stairs my friend blasts off his tank and completely obliterates the building and the enemy is flying through the door screaming his death scream. Cinematic and epic at the same time
I swear all dice needs to do is make a battlefield with bf3/4 era, bf1 atmosphere, and bf5 movement mechanics as polished as possible on launch and theyed have an instant winner.
I’m afraid dice is not the dice it used to be, and a lot of people stepped a way from the company, like how can you go from bf1 to 2042 not saying I’m not having fun with 2042 at times but still, doesn’t feel like the same passionate people are working on it like this game
@@dynasty701 Yeah exactly and All they have to do to make a great battlefield is copy and paste everything from BF1 but set in the modern day like bf3-bf4 and not make too much futuristic and also make it kinda realistic for example in BF1 you can’t open a parachute if you fall off a cliff but you can only open Parachute only if you fall off a plane and you can’t cut it off and re open it until you land. And most important remove the operators and replace them with customisable soldiers with the original class system. If they want to make money out of skins they should sell helmets, torso ,legs and boots separately but make the skins grounded and not unrealistic like the Fortnite and cod and then boom you have a masterpiece battlefield game
BF1's campaign opening was so immersive. The screams, the whistles, the explosions, etc. No matter how skilled you were, or how many enemies you took down, none of it mattered. You were gonna die, and the war would continue on as if you never existed. I remember this feeling of dread and gloom when realizing you couldn't win. Great job Dice.
Thank to you I just started playing again one week ago. My favourite game so far. I just come back and watch 30 people on operation just running, screaming, granates, tanks, planes exploding, music… I love this game and the community. Hope we never stop playing bf1, I want to play it with 80 years too.
I haven't played this map in ages. Wish there were more people playing (on PS). I hope the next Battlefield is great as this was. Love your content & looking forward to more Battlefield 1 videos
Or just has different taste lol. I’ve played over a hundred hours of bf1, personally bf4 is more enjoyable to me. My main gripe with bf1 is the visual recoil which makes the gunplay a very frustrating learning curb to get over, but even when you do it’s just annoying. Bf3/bf4’s gun play is much more enjoyable to me.
Not really. Crazy how nostalgia affects people. At the time this got criticised for lowering the skill gap. Easier snipers, bayonet charge, elites could be just picked up, behemoths, the insane amount of bullet bloom etc. A good game and very immersive, unique etc but this isn’t even the best BF. BF3, BF4 and BFV are all better.
@@MrTWICETHEPRESHA Not nostalgia, I have over 5000 hours on bf1 and still play it almost daily. In general smaller skill gap leads to a much better gameplay, that's kinda objective. Tryhard tactics are way more complicated than just having skill in BF1. Purely skill based games are easy to get tired of, just like COD
I love how much detail they put into the reloading of the weird guns. How long reload times would affect gameplay. And yes, it drives immersion. Plus destruction is FUN!
The atmosphere and gritty tone of the game set it apart. And the detail as well everywhere you look there’s so much going on. DICE really need to take this as the example, for their new game and just change the setting whether it’s modern or older.
In 2016 I got stationed in South Korea , a week before this Gem dropped I got pink eye & had too quarantine myself for 2 weeks , I played this nonstop 10+ hours a day cooped up in my room with 1 eye , when I finally unlocked the hellregiel i felt like a GOD!!!! If i ever had to show someone why are video games so good I would show them this game. Finally realised seeing this video today how much i loved it. It’s crazy you posted a BF1 video I’ve just recently been rewatching all your old game play with matimio, level and X a lot more swearing in those days haha great stuff keep killing it! BF1 is my favorite I still play!
Recently repurchased this on series S for £3.50. Excellent game. Jack keep the BF1 videos coming!
Cinematic and epic at the same time
It’s way ahead of games now nevermind 8 years ago
thank you jack for never letting this masterpiece go unnoticed
Been playing BF1 everyday for the past month, so good
bf1 and bf5 are some of my fav ww1 and ww2 games ever. taking out the horses is just tradition along with getting sniped from across the map lol
I can still find breakthrough servours on ps4, keep this game alive please 🙏
Jack playing BF1 just feels so good. You can feel how mutch he enjoys it :)
I swear all dice needs to do is make a battlefield with bf3/4 era, bf1 atmosphere, and bf5 movement mechanics as polished as possible on launch and theyed have an instant winner.
I think the movement should be like BF1 because the movement on BF5 felt unrealistic and kinda arcady like the new cod
@@albertosgr9completely agree. the movement in bfv felt really out of place, in my opinion
If you made it Cold War era I’m in. Kinda prefer a lack of modern technology
Any videos from Jack playing BF1 or BFV is a must watch for me.
Love that first map you played Jack. It stunning and so detailed
Battlefield 1 was the last of the great developers before the breakup, later Battlefield Call of Duty became ridiculous and a children's game.
5:10 they way the player put his hand in front like to say "easy with that"
Thank to you I just started playing again one week ago. My favourite game so far. I just come back and watch 30 people on operation just running, screaming, granates, tanks, planes exploding, music… I love this game and the community. Hope we never stop playing bf1, I want to play it with 80 years too.
5:50 "What happened to my gun? Oh, I have no bullets in it" Had me cackling
I haven't played this map in ages. Wish there were more people playing (on PS). I hope the next Battlefield is great as this was. Love your content & looking forward to more Battlefield 1 videos
This is the best online FPS ever made, period. Whoever disagrees for sure has never played it.
BF1 and the Titanfall games... FPS games were simply built different. Still playing them to this day.
I disagree. Too many hackers if you can even find a server with any players at all.
The one battlefield game that I truly, completely, loved. I would love to play this with my console friends
6937 hours deep on BF1 and I still haven’t had enough 😂
Lets Goooo...
You're across the battlefield series was and still is one of the best loved watching them
The terrain and overall layouts of BF1 were just (chefs kiss)
I love how much detail they put into the reloading of the weird guns. How long reload times would affect gameplay. And yes, it drives immersion. Plus destruction is FUN!
This game is where I got into this channel. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Jack, you're so happy when you play this game. Love to watch it. Thanks!
I really like that you played Conquest, and not Breakthrough. Nice vid!!
The atmosphere and gritty tone of the game set it apart. And the detail as well everywhere you look there’s so much going on. DICE really need to take this as the example, for their new game and just change the setting whether it’s modern or older.
I always watch Jack's BF1 videos everytime. Love it m8 thanks
Honestly just re downloaded this game today wtf haha, great video!
19:20 the slug even has his eye stalk binoculars out too!
This is the only game i play on full volume with subwoofer 🔥🔥🔥 My neighbors probably think the war started 😂
Been getting back into bf1 cuz of your vids Jack. Keep them up!
No other FPS can stand toe to toe with BF1
damn i've missed your battlefield content, can't believe i've been watching you for a whole decade, this is such a nostalgic video)
Now that you posted this... I think I'm gonna install BF1 again... It's been years, man...
I remember going to the Imperial War museum after your video on it, and the photos showed up in my photo memories a few days ago, so I remembered your video again
much respect to the studio team that works on this project, to me this was the most fun I have ever had on a shooting game. Ill put it on top on any other BFs and I have played them all.
I still play bf1 with my son - we love it so much , brilliant game
On my top 5 favourite games I’ve ever played
Spent so many amazing hours playing this
This is my favorite game ever. It was the first battlefield I ever played. Nothing,I mean NOTHING touches this game. I agree it could past as a brand new game, even today.
Every time I watch you play BF1 it makes me want to reinstall and play. Absolute fun and the visuals are still great to this day. Honestly my favorite Battlefield, we'll have to see if they can bring it back with the next installment. Let's hope!
Still so much energy in these vids. S tier
It’s always good to go back and play games that really set the bar high… games that we deeply enjoy, that’s BF1 to me
I’m playing this now, really feels like you in total war had some amazing games today
Opening scene and 1st Operations match in St Quentin Scar are core memories that will flash before my eyes when I leave this world, it was just an amazing experience
I played through the campaign a year ago so good
Thanks for a long BF1 Jack!
My favourite FPS game ever. Have so many good memories of this with my mates. Tank hunting was our specialty!
Jack yet again puts out a BF1 video and I like and watch immediately.
I have always admired this game. been watching jack since this game first was announced. Absolutely fell in love with it and all i did was watch videos. Probably the greatest example of an fps ever. If i ever had to show someone why are video games so good I would show them this game. Finally realised seeing this video today how much i loved it. And since now I have started earning and this game is cheap af now. Finally bought it! Couldn't be happier. I still fondly remember my 2-3 days of playing this game when it was a free weekend or something.
For me, greatest game of all time
It honestly feels like I’ve seen the same title and thumbnail always about bf1, bf4, bf5 ,bf3 etc atleast once a month on this channel 😂
BF1 is absolutely astounding and timeless. Thanks for another great BF1 vid, Jack. Much love
Bf1 has always been my favorite. So many hrs on ps4 on old account lol I play on pc with newer account lol
THE FLAMETHROWER PART WAS FIRE LOL
