Hi Max, are the controllers at Groton usually like that? You absolutely did the right thing asking for clarification, and great job not reacting to his rudeness. Controller should have anticipated the conflict on the ground and asked the other guy to hold short on Bravo at Charlie for traffic exiting the runway.
Not usually, I've had very good experience with ATC both at KGON and in general around this area. This guy is always hard on pilots who read back incorrect or just say Roger rather than repeating the instruction. It made me think he would be respectful of ensuring clear coms that everyone understood, not this toxic attitude. Hopefully it was just an off day for him, which we all have once in a while. I'll still be asking for clarification whenever I feel I need it.
