Nice work. I'm currently building my XC time for my checkride. This was helpful. I especially liked "A humble pilot is a safe pilot"

Lot to think about and do - it's easy to forget to change frequency or adjust your altimeter.

haha, I did the same thing, I forgot to change the frequency on my 2nd solo cross country Saturday. Good job man

@@ejnixon Congrats on the milestone! It is so freeing to fly a solo cross country, it feels like you have your license. Good luck on the rest of your journey! Personally my top tip for after you hit your requirements is to try to get your landings on a specific spot. I had a tendency to land long because I cared a lot more about centerline throughout my training, but then it flustered me in my check ride when I floated down the runway on the short field landing.

@@mblaise3 oh wow congrats! You finished your PPL! Way to go man. Yea, I'm trying to dial in the landings to be more consistent. Are you working on just building some hours now, or are you on to instrument?

@@ejnixon Just enjoying the PPL for now. I don’t plant to fly as a career but I’ve been taking some trips when I can. It is incredibly annoying to plan a trip and have it ruined by some low clouds though so I’m thinking instrument rating sooner rather than later. Plus from what I hear it makes you a much better pilot

      @@mblaise3 absolutely! Im
planning to do instrument after. Id also like to do alot more solo flights to get a bit more comfortable, not so nervous, etc.

Here in the CA we have tons of traffic and sometimes it's so busy we are not able to get flight following.

Really? Not even flight following with Oakland Center?

Would love to do hands off flying, Where I fly, I can not take my hand off the yoke for a second or the plane ends up in a strange attitude quickly. I tried it and it was just to bumpy and turbulent. I am a student pilot flying out of BIH
