    Thanks for the video instruction. I bought my Fusion Energi Titanium on a Friday night. I did not know till the next day when I was looking through the trunk and could not find the spare tire. Ofciurse there was no jack either. Luckily for over 4 years now I have not had a puncture. This video makes me feel a littl easier about what to do if there is a problem.

    Do you need to take the tire off to fix with the pump/glue? You said it doesn't come with a jack but unsure if its needed. Thanks

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  4 года назад +2

      No but you should face the hole down as you fill and then drive it to get glue to coat the tire.

  • @mariea9899

    Is those machine one time use?
    Also, how long will that glue hold up…certain miles?

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  2 года назад

      No you can reuse them but you have to get more glue. Also the glue ruins your tire so plan on replacing it.

    • @roadsideguy5902

      How long depends on the puncture.

    That tire only had 30PSI and not the 40 it needed to have, it's the standing pressure that matters not the pressure when the compressor is running. You can see the flat belly on the tire when he took out the inflator.

      Also, since the car doesn't come with a jack, a more realistic scenario would be going through the whole procedure with the tire still attached.

    Does that ruin the tire or the rim? Thsnks for this video!

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  3 года назад +1

      Yes and yes. Dollars those glues that are used in fix a flat materials are not washed off of the rim thoroughly they can bore microscopic holes through the wheel and you may experience air leakage in the future and not be able to pinpoint it. The glue dries out the rubber in the tire over a course of time. Thanks for watching

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  3 года назад

      The tire shop should. Unless you are doing the repair yourself in which case you should Have the plug kit is kit there and ready to go with the plug already into the plunger and the airpump ready to pump air back into that way is that way it takes less time to fill the tire backup with air. Also you near impossible to see after you remove it.

    Two comments: 1) There is more to properly injecting the sealant/glue and reinflating the tire than what is shown in the video. Read the instructions. 2) There is no need to remove the wheel from the vehicle. That is kind of the point, and why there is not jack/lug nut wrench.

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  3 года назад

      Omg you must have totally missed the part where I said that we went to get the spare out and noticed there wasn't one. It's a rental car and the customer said it had a spare before I arrived. Because he was assuming it would have one. So I arrived and removed the flat before noticing the no spare tire deal. That's kinda the point of this video. Ya know to show all those who also may assume the vehicle has a spare. Thanks for watching.

    Get the correct tire pressure from the sticker on the door jamb. Never the tire.

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  3 года назад +1

      Not when you have a leak and want to make it anywhere. In this situation the max the tire can hold is best. That way if any should leak you will have more. Thanks for watching.

      @@yardmandg54 Thanks for watching and commenting. Underneath your back seat on your truck you will find a black plastic wing nut under the seat you must unscrew that on the driver's side and also on the passenger side then you will remove Is the felt lining storage compartment. Underneath that felt lining is a black plastic case that looks like a gun case you will have to slide that out and then open it to find your tools.

    Ford says you'll need to replace the valve stem and tire pressure sensor if you use the fix a flat in the pump. so they dont give you a spare and make it cost you money out of pocket to fix your tire with their air pump...smh. also, PSI on this Car is 36.

    • @roadsideguy5902

      Wasn't knocking the vid. I actually watched to make sure I was using my compressor right. I have the same car.. But u weren't filling a spare in this vid. U were filling the rear passenger tire. The tire wall said not to exceed 40 psi. The recommended PSI for stock tires on this car is 36. Just adding some additional info.

      Yes, I'm Roadside and I'm using a sidewalk or maybe the sidewall to read the psi. 🤣🤣🤣 Why? Because the psi on the door is the manufacturer's best suggested psi level for most comfortable ride!!! Not max psi!!! Which is what my customer needs because he has a hole in his tire!!!! So perhaps the max instead of best for comfort would be best???!!!! What do you think Mr. Expert??? 🤣🤣🤣 Did that even cross your two brain cells??? LMFAO NO SPARE C'MON, NOT THAT I DRIVE FORD, found on road dead, fix or repair daily! I absolutely positively hate Ford. I never owned a Ford and I never will own crappy Ford! What the hell is wrong with these damn auto makers? No spare tire, not even a donut? Just some tire repair kit! Those shitty ass repair kit will NOT fix a blowout or punctured sidewall. Sidewall blowout due to smacking a curb or pothole CANNOT be repaired! The tire is trash, best thing to do if you own a fix and repair daily is push that peace of shit right off the edge of a cliff! The auto makers who give repair kits rather providing the much needed spare tire. But auto makers said the reason for ditching the tire and tools for just a crappy tire repair kit is to cut down on the weight of the car so the owner will save on gas. Oh so it has absolutely NOTHING to do with auto makers cutting corners to save money? A donut, tire iron and a damn jack weight all that mutch, atleast you or anybody else would NEVER notice the difference in gas savings at all, even if there were a difference in gas mileage it is totally worth that added extra 20 or so lbs to have a donut. Auto makers are getting really dirt down cheap. All cars used to come with a full size, there was no such thing as donuts. Then they started with this donut, and now these damned kids taking over are fucking things up really bad. On average, then auto maker charges the buyer $300-$400 for that spare. I drive only BMW and not only do they come with a full size spair tire, but they are mounted of orgional rims that are mounted on the car.
