    This is so contrary to other coaches who say that we have two swings: one for irons and another for driver. You just proved them all wrong and me, as well. What I did notice is that the handle of all clubs was in the same area of your lead leg each time at set up. I think that has been my nemesis with the driver. I have (no longer after seeing this video) been placing the handle of my driver back towards my trail leg to encourage an upward strike when it should be located in the same area of my lead leg as all of my other clubs, which will make ie more inline with the driver clubhead. Will definitely try this today and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

    HEYYYYY, made the video!!!! Unbelievable content again! Really putting everything together and giving insight on how the club moves in space so people can understand the swing rather than being told what to do with no explanation why. This is really helping me progress in my game. Thanks again to you (🐐)! I would call that GREAT golf coaching!

    Really useful, Stuart. I never appreciated the implications you highlight of as you say "modulating" the handle speed near contact. This is one to watch again in a few days time.

    I've been hoping someone would make a video like this as I have no issues with my short to medium irons, great ball speed and height, but then there incremental failure as I go longer, especially my driver.
    So the KEY is just having that proper sequence at the bottom. I'll have to look at my set up as I also think my hand are too forward creating a lower flight and a lot of toe hits.

    Hey Stu, great video as usual!!!
    As you move the ball further forward as you progress to the lower number clubs (SW-driver). Your stands is further from the ball because of club length and posture is slightly more upright. Does the pull of the club always the same (downward and below your sternum) no matter the club?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Месяц назад

      The pull time and unload changes as per explained in the video Willie. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu

    Thank you very much dear Stuart! Right at the point. I was realizing for myself that in my hands the 7, 6 and 5irons go the best. Thanks to your explanations I now know that it depends a lot of how the pull and release pattern related to the club-length has to be adjusted: I keep on trying ;-)

      Maybe I misunderstood. I was wondering, for each club, which of the two types of swing gives more distance? Thanks Stu and forgive me if I ask unclear questions...

      This video was based around contact, use of levers and accuracy. Distance comes from speed. Check out my speed videos!

    One swing for all clubs -driver to gap wedge. Swing one plane, one type of motion. Chipping and putting different. Those are more pendulum swing.

    Hi Stu, what are your thoughts on driver with ball position forwards about level with left shoulder but club at address say 3 inches behind ball?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  3 месяца назад

      Sounds pretty good to me Mel - obviously depends on how you move. Better too far forward than back that’s for sure!

      @@GoodGolfCoachingDang, I'm learning a *lot*. Pretty color *and* a new word for me. Google sources seem to disagree on its pronunciation.
      I *think* I've figured out how you kept just nicking that most forward ball - even with an out to in path. Apparently there's some "hollowness" associated with your mat and that last ball is merely "bouncing" from the "turf strike". 🙂

    Hi Stuart. Having been measured between 6 and 8 down with most of my irons and 3 down on driver (not great on 6 and 5 irons), I'm now gleaning from this that I need to slow the handle down to let the clubhead catch up. Correct?

    .......great video Stu....... I understand the swinging and release of the golf club, but I'm curious what your actual swing thought is with the stalling of the handle to let the club head swing with the longer clubs. Obviously you got to keep the handle moving, its not stopping. Is it the club head that is bringing your hands around after stalling? ....... hope all that makes sense .....thanks a lot.....⛳🍺
