  • In this video you'll see me coach a client on his third golf lesson, who was a prolific heel striker of the golf ball. You'll see how he moved his strike point from the heel to the centre of the club face in a very simply process.
    I hope you enjoy!

Wow. Very helpful. I've been a hooker and shanker for years. I tried your advice on the range and it felt great. Can't wait to try it on the course. Mike

As golfers, we are a fickle group, we improve but are still unhappy with the improvement because we’re looking for perfection, which doesn’t exist. I think it stems from us trying to compare ourselves to tour pros we see on TV, not realizing that TV mostly shows a pro’s good shots. Not to mention that they’re head and shoulders better than all of us. The coaching session was very good and Mike is extremely lucky to be able to get in-person lessons from you. This was definitely good coaching. Cheers.

I think you make some really valid points; expectations can sometimes lead golfers down a narrow road due to what they believe to be true. Thanks as ever for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated my friend. Best wishes Stu

Before I discovered your channel I was a hooker who lived on the edge of a shank every time I swung an iron. But adopting the strong grip, heel basis on set up, thinking of rolling the Swiss ball on takeaway and seeing in my mind an in to in swing that fear of the shank has disappeared. My swing is not perfect but I have reduced my handicap from 22 to 18.7 and confident it is still on way down. Thank you so much.

Absolutely brilliant i love this student sessions because a lot of what I see in your students is exactly what I feel I do. So I watch these and go back and watch specific videos you refference in these than I take these to practice. Keep it up you are at higher level with this than any coach on RUclips!

This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I was shanking a few yesterday and noticed in my practice that I also typically hit predominantly in the heel. Thank you for sharing! I’m getting better one video at a time 😂

Hey! Discovered your channel a couple of days ago. And I just love your approach on the golfswing.
I've been playing for nearly 30 years, starting as a small kid I tried to get distance and speed by pulling the club real hard.
Im about 4 hcp with a 120 mph with driver, fighting slices and hooks. Always with a lot of shaftlean, steep aoa. Sometimes a shank as well. What you talk about pressure the butt of the club down, and forearm rotation in the downswing. Just curious if in my feeling of the golfswing, I would try to feel like my leadarm from the top goes down, pressuring the butt of the club early, all and all, getting the club infront of me instead of try to shallow. I know its hard to say, but I had to ask. Because what you're teaching is so much better and logic than most of all the coaches. Your own swing looks like you have been taught by Mac ogrady.

Hey Simon - firstly a big welcome to the channel and thank you for asking a question. The pressure on the butt of the club I would always encourage under the chest. If you check out a video ruclips.net/video/-HC1A8SzOS8/видео.htmlsi=yTUPbsI3MHIl8yTp - this will help you understand my thoughts on butt pressure and my “Broom Series” playlist this will give you lots to get your feet stuck into.
Regards Mac Ogrady, never met the man nor do I know his philosophies sadly.
Many thanks for being here and hope you continue to enjoy my content. Best wishes Stu 😊
