    Stu, absolutely fabulous lesson. I learned so much in these almost 43 minutes: 1. Getting the correct grip and setup are crucial before you even begin to swing the club. 2. How much you lean forward and turn into the swiss ball (lead side) is vital. 3. How the strike is actually made with downward pressure on the handle and NOT the clubhead. Pressure down on the handle with your hands is something completely new to me. I tried it and was amazed at the feeling. 4. Don't worry too much about grip pressure as it will adjust itself once you're striking the ball well and the ball flight going in the right direction. Thanks so much for sharing this and a special thanks to your client for allowing us to see his lesson. Keep up the excellent work. Cheers.

    Fantastic lesson Stuart, the red and yellow circles demo was the real clincher, backed up by the swiss ball demo. never really understood the position of the hips played such a big part in ball striking, I think we really focus too much above the hips.

    Great video, so much that I recognise from my lessons. Despite that I still learned new things such as grip pressure tending to correlate to face to path (lighter pressure tend to hook, strong pressure tend to fade).
    What this shows is that importance of good, reliable data because the changes in club path, face to path and, usually, angle of attack are really small - in a dynamic movement such as a golf swing we are talking for the golfer in the video, about moving the club path a few degrees, the angle of attack a few degrees. That is very difficult to see on a video of a swing but really easy to see with proper data.

    Needs a TPI screen! Trial hip internal rotation is totally inhibited thus resulting in an all shoulder & arms swing, and naturally an over-the-top path. Early extension and positive AoA is caused by path and ball position too forward..

    Hi Stu, amazing lesson 👍 really enjoy these 👌 one question please is could the ball drill encourage a reverse pivot? We’re all taught to get pressure onto the right side during the backswing but this drill can only result in the pressure staying left unless I’m missing something (which is highly likely) 😂 would love you to clarify and thanks again for your superb content 👍🙏🏻🏌️‍♂️

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Paul - the Swiss ball creates reaction through your legs. Loading the right leg can be done in two definitive ways, lateral which would drop the ball, or pressure and rotation which would load the left in transition. What the upper half does, creates a reverse pivot or not, this drill has a bearing on that. Hope that clears up your question. Best wishes Stu 😊
