This one's a real winner. I'm not sure if I would call it our dream camper, but I can say with certainty that if we owned this one we would be very happy with it and enjoy it very much.
I love this model! I am a big Ember fan, wish we could've afforded one, but it hots all the right boxes. Storage, inside and out. Counter space, bathroom is good.....❤
This is a WOW trailer, so many things done well. It's little upgrades like the propane "locker", big fans, etc. Grand Design doesn't seem to understand this; they should be competing with Ember but they really don't. I would say the closest comparison to this is the new Rockwood 2517s. Only caution to anyone not looking is watch the hitch weight in comparison to your vehicles payload capacity. A lot of big nice modern pickup trucks have about a 1200 lb payload capacity. Once you get propane, batteries and gear on this trailer, you may not be able to fit more than two people in your truck without going over payload.
Great review as always Josh. I've been a big fan of the Grand Design Imagine version of this plan, but I think I like this one more from a feature and performance standpoint. The extra space in the bath and ability to leave the bed down are valuable features and the skylight is fantastic. Also like the improved suspension and newer style support legs.
Love the cabinet design and colors! Yaaay on the convection/micro/air fryer! I like that stargazer skylite! Really like the double sofas. Glad to see the drawer pack and outdoor kitchen. Really like seeing that propane box!! Overall I like this one!
Love the ceiling height and larger bathroom (especially the shower height), awesome counter space too. Add some solar and a couple good batteries and it’s almost perfect 🤌🏻
When I searched for the Norco slide cable system - I see a lot of complaints with them getting out of alignment. I've heard in the past to avoid the cable slides - so why did Ember go with them. I love everything else about this RV...and it WAS on top of my list to see ASAP. Going to the Tampa RV show - hope to learn more.
This model previously had a schwintek slide I think. A lot of MFGs have gone to the norco xact slide system in place of schwintek stating better service records Obviously it's not perfect. I suspect it's more reliable.
This layout reminds me of a Springdale I owned but this is much, much nicer. I really like how they have a sofa instead of a dinette. Not too sure about a cable slide but is this the newer cable slide type that is more reliable?
Thank you for another great review! Hope you got some well-deserved rest. Ember really sparks my interest. Love the "road mode", thank you for including it. Is there an option for a sofa/sleeper? Will have grandkids occasionally. Or does the sofa allow for sleeping? Generally, I'm not a fan of Murphy Beds, but LOVE that it can be left down even in road mode, but put up for additional seating if needed.

Hey Josh, I really think Ember is an extremely well thought out and built product. The only thing that I would like to see in something like this would be sleeping for extra company that may tagalong. I would really like to see the sofa in the slide become a sleeper.
We just ordered this model at the Detroit RV show. The owners of Ember were there and are able to put a trifold sleeper sofa in place of the theatre one. That’s how we ordered ours.
I really love this trailer, except the Murphy bed. Just really prefer a standard bed setup. That sunroof though above the bed is great though. So light and bright. I’m curious how many leak issues they have with that window. These seem like they are built very well though, much like Brinkley
Floorplan says there is a pantry in the corner of the counter, but there isn't. They could use a smaller sofa and put one next to it in the slide. Is the stargazer optional? I don't care for that down here where the heat index hits 110+ in the summer.
I very much prefer the 30"x36" shower enclosures on the Touring Edition and E-series models to the (too narrow) 24"x40" enclosures on the Overland Series. I wish Ember would standardize on the 30"x36" showers since most of their bathrooms across models and lines are similar sizes. Also, I'm skeptical of those mini fans Ember has been replacing the full size fans with...? Speaking of the Overland Series, when will we see the updated/refreshed video on the 2024 221MSL???

This was the last video I recorded on a marathon session of like 50 videos in a single week. I love this model. I was completely exhausted and half-sick
So, less than a minute into the video. Wish there was a way to or switch the grey and the fresh. If you love sate park style camping. You need the bigger grey. Most affordable parks like the state parks. They only have a dump station, you need the grey. I’ll continue to post as I watch.
I love Ember. They nailed this for the most part. My major complaint is the brown cabinets. It’s hard to find complaints on this unit. I wish more companies would check out that couch and use it vs the stupid theater seats in family rigs. I love that I can keep my bed down and it still feels spacious.
If we could get a 5th wheel toy hauler, I guarantee they will get major business if they do not use lippert frames. Their frame flex is scary and people are desperately looking for better quality.
Why'd they find things that made this more perfect than it already was? 😭 I prefer that type of couch in the slide to the full three seater and while I thought the bathroom was fine before, the added toilet space literally perfects it!! How rude of them to make me want this camper any more than I already did!!
nice vid and nice layout. Personally would like a reg bed with a wall that maybe has sliding doors open down the middle. Not sure if there is room for a wall.
One of the biggest failing point on an RV that has a slide out, is the slide out. Yet, no one ever talks about what kind of slide out mechanism these things have.

I actually don't know if Ember stocks/uses those now that I think about it. NORMALLY it would be an easy swap but only if the factory already uses them. Drop our folks at note at 800-256-5196 & they can investigate for you
Immediate clarity: RVs do not have "Full time live-in warranties." Some have "Warranty for Full Time RVing" which is not the same That means you don't use it as a primary residence and still spend about half your time elsewhere. All that being said - perhaps consider something like a Cougar, Delta, Rockwood, Grand Design..
I currently have 2 RVs - and one previously -or- about 14 years of RV ownership experience. I have gone through 4 ADCO RV covers (top-of-their-line Designer Series) in the past 11 years on my 30' Sunset Trail and one on my 4 year old pop-up. (Which is sad....but another story and I'll never purchase another ADCO cover again) They always wear at the edges from abrasion - especially at the gutter spouts which are fairly pliable. I can't imagine an RV cover lasting long on one of these Ember RVs with those near knife-edge structures on the top corners. Same for the sharp corners on the front cylinder box. Between the wind and snow loads here in the NE, any sharp edge will find it's way through a cover. Manufacturers should keep this in mind with their designs...or build these things better so we don't have to keep them covered in the off-season. At any rate...we love your RV reviews and always look forward to the next! And because you do a great job showing products we can spot potential issues in advance.
This would be almost exactly what I would convert my 2011 Puma by Palomino 21RBS into. Absolutely the best floorplan for the size. And I'd outfit it with even more solar, if I didn't just employ a Jackery or Bluetti 2Kw solar battery package to exist more off-grid. Great tour! When does your stand-up tour start? 🥸😂
RUclips suddenly decided after 12 years that's copyrighted content.. but only on SOME videos. Their copyright report claims it's another song that's obviously completely different but I can't make it stop. So I'm probably going to have to start chopping the fire off the end of my video
Putting a vanity in a small bathroom is just stupid in my opinion. You could have a big shower and plenty of room for a big person the sit. Storage could be high like airplane storage, you would lose nothing.
Josh, is it just me, or does this unit look odd to you???? I can not put my finger on it but it looks odd, maybe the overall shape, it's not the interier, which is the same as a million others, it's the highth?????? Help me out, maybe it's just mw?

How much seems like the right amount? We could likely custom order it with their new Max Solar package from the overland series
As much as I can get😂
These are pretty unique and I checked the prices online and they're not the craziest I've seen. That award goes to the Palomino Pause.
yeah they're definitely proud of those, arent they?
No king bed option 😢
So, less than a minute into the video. Wish there was a way to or switch the grey and the fresh. If you love sate park style camping. You need the bigger grey. Most affordable parks like the state parks. They only have a dump station, you need the grey. I’ll continue to post as I watch.
I love Ember. They nailed this for the most part. My major complaint is the brown cabinets. It’s hard to find complaints on this unit. I wish more companies would check out that couch and use it vs the stupid theater seats in family rigs. I love that I can keep my bed down and it still feels spacious.
I hate the brown couch color as well.
Love the sky light.
Oh, Ember……….. you had me at when you said you do not use LIEppert frames! I’m so excited!
If we could get a 5th wheel toy hauler, I guarantee they will get major business if they do not use lippert frames. Their frame flex is scary and people are desperately looking for better quality.
They're still slowly expanding their lineup. They're considering FWS at some point so.. it's possible!
Why'd they find things that made this more perfect than it already was? 😭 I prefer that type of couch in the slide to the full three seater and while I thought the bathroom was fine before, the added toilet space literally perfects it!! How rude of them to make me want this camper any more than I already did!!
It's funny how a few small tweaks really dial it in
Great Unit, I want it , 😢
nice vid and nice layout. Personally would like a reg bed with a wall that maybe has sliding doors open down the middle. Not sure if there is room for a wall.
I wonder how much space a minimal wall with sliding doors that open from the middle would require..
👍
for the algorithm!
Ty!!
If I could change one thing about this trailer it would have a real built on ladder
I could see that. TY
I do prefer those myself
You may need to use the ladder to repair the upper slide cable mechanism.
One of the biggest failing point on an RV that has a slide out, is the slide out. Yet, no one ever talks about what kind of slide out mechanism these things have.
I may not touch on it in every video but that actually is something I point out quite often
Ember uses exact slide across the board
They should loose the slide in this model. I do not see the need for a slide.
I really think a no-slide version of this in their overland series could work.
10:29 🤣
#toiletselfiechampion
Very nice Ember touring edition, I really like the
Improvements 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊
Great Work Josh now go home and some good buddy, You deserve it👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊 You work tirelessly
To give your good contact and info that we can trust. God bless you my friend🙏🙏🙏
Thanks! 👍
That was a good week but a busy one
I think I made over 40 videos in five days or something nuts
Looks like with your foot up on the shelf it’s got a little built-in, squatty, potty action! Who does number two work for!
lol
Can you get a Sofa bed in the slide?
I actually don't know if Ember stocks/uses those now that I think about it. NORMALLY it would be an easy swap but only if the factory already uses them. Drop our folks at note at 800-256-5196 & they can investigate for you
New channel here! Love watching you!!
Welcome to the RV Nerd Herd! :)
I remember hearing rumors that Ember was getting into 5th wheels. I'll wait.
They likely will at some point. For now they're fleshing out their trailer lineup
Great job Josh…get some rest brother! Beautiful camper!
Thanks! Will do!
What would a nice 30 foot trailer that has a full-time live in warranty? The wife and i are considering packing and driving . Tired of stuck life lol
Immediate clarity: RVs do not have "Full time live-in warranties."
Some have "Warranty for Full Time RVing" which is not the same
That means you don't use it as a primary residence and still spend about half your time elsewhere.
All that being said - perhaps consider something like a Cougar, Delta, Rockwood, Grand Design..
good video Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
Now all they need to do is slap this camper down on an off road chassis.....Then you'll have a big time winner!!!!
I kinda feel like this layout would translate well to their overland series actually
@@JoshtheRVNerd my thought was, it would be a worthy competitor up aginst the black series hq17....just saying 🤔
These Ember RVs are nice...but definitely not RV cover friendly.
ooh never thought of that. Have you had trouble with one?
lol I likely wouldn't be good at stand up. I'm not great shakes with scripted material. I'm better off the cuff and in the moment
Love the Floorplan. Time for you to get some rest 😂
TY lol. That was a really good, fun, but INCREDIBLY demanding week
HEY JOSH, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MUSIC AND FIRE PIT AT THE END!?
Doesn’t look abnormal to me..
Very nice trailer, especially with the upgrade. It exudes quality. However, I cringe at the guesstimated cost of such a trailer being Ember.
Looks like we have some figures here: www.bishs.com/rv-search?stocknumber=21mrk
Biggest drawback is the bi-level countertop.
Fair. Ty
