As an owner of a 2024 Overland 221MSL manufactured in March with max solar and 2 gamechanger batteries we could not be more pleased. A very good quality product that functions well off grid. The freshwater tank is 55gal. The Cerbo system makes monitoring the solar and inverter functions easy. Windows allow amazing airflow, so easy to get the hot air out on arrival at camp site. We seldom have used the AC here in Minnesota. We had a custom “dogeared” mattress made for one of the bunks to serve as a regular bed and use half the other bunk piece higher up for storage. There is also a routing path for Starlink cable. The folks at Ember have thought of most everything. .
I have 3 cats and 1 small poodle. Someone finally created a space that i can turn into a cattery. And the murhy bed couch is never used enough. A bed takes up so much space especially in only 26ft. I've been waiting on this one.😊
There is actually a person with their own social channels dedicated to traveling around with their cat in an ember They turned the MSL into "the Catio"
This totally reconfigurable space is amazing for pet owners! Dogs and cats in RVs is absolutely the norm and this floor plan has room for all the fur babies. Good things come to those who wait!
So I would want to install some kind of barrier between the bed and the rest of the trailer. Like an accordion door maybe? I mean, sure, at curtain, but something more substantial would be nice.
Love the low level light down low. I’ve been wanting something like that near the fire extinguisher and door latch in case of fire or need to exit at night.

built quality, features. = worth EVERY penny of the very fair and competitive price from what I've seen in dozens of brands over the years and currently. OH.. and that bedspread needs to be in the back mother-in-law suite. 🤣 Steve the Stove-Top returns! Love him!
I've been looking at other campers and then I watch one of your Ember reviews. Seems like the Ember Overland series checks off the most boxes for me. I appreciate the information (and humor) you provide. Thanks.
Ok, first off, Voltron is defender of the universe, not just the galaxy. Second, STEVE! So good to see you!!! Man, it's hard to say anything bad about this unit because it does everything right. There are a few things that aren't absolutely perfect, but that doesn't truly detract from anything. I was going to say that the placement of the handle in the bathroom is bizarre, but the other half says it's absolutely freakin' perfect right where it is. I'll take her word for it, she's the one one that would benefit the most from using it. I guess if I was forced to complain, it would be the lack of default pantry and not so much clothing storage, but even then, we'd be turning half the missile bay into my desk and the other half of the bay would simply be our pantry; maybe we'd even build some storage shelves into it. Not sure what else to say, so I'll quit while we're not behind and say thanks, Uncle Josh!

Glad to see you're finally doing a 2024 221MSL video. Didn't think you would since not much has changed from the 2023 edition. Although they did change the ceiling fans to a mini model, which I'm not a fan of (That pun is for you, Josh!). I was told by Ember personnel that it was because the fans are now below the additional solar panels, so they needed a low clearance fan model. While that's true for the fan they added in the main cabin, it's not true for the bathroom fan...but I'm sure they're sticking to one fan model for inventory/supply reasons. In the 2025 versions, I'd love to see them convert the bathroom shower from the 24"x40" model to the 30"x36" shower enclosures (with the cubby shelves along the side) found in all but one of the Touring Edition and E-Series models. I was told by an Ember executive that the 221MSL has the 24"x40" shower enclosure because that's what they started with in the initial Overland Series units that were narrower. But now that they are pretty much all 8-feet wide, the 30"x36" shower is much roomier and not uncomfortably narrow like the 24"x40" enclosure they are using. I'd also like to see them offer the twin/king bed configuration they have on the 240TRK as an option...certainly not a deal-killer if they don't but it would be a cool option. Finally, they need to bring the lagun-style tables to the Overland Series. They've had them in the Touring Edition series from the start, but, again, I was told by Ember that it's because of existing/remaining inventory of the static tables. IT'S TIME to bring the lagun-style tables to the Overland Series in the 2025 models!! Other things that would be great: · A screen for the rear access door - This would be great for getting airflow through the RV instead of having to open the side cargo door every time · Slide cargo door(s) to access the storage spaces behind the sofa from the exterior of the RV (like they've implemented on the Touring Edition 24MBH) · Add 12v cigarette-style power outlets alongside the USB and 110v power outlets throughout the Overland Series · Stronger frame to enable CCC to increase to 30%-35% of total GVWR (although they've increased it to 22%, which is an improvement) · Electronic anti-sway/ABS braking system - either integrated throughout the Overland Series lineup from the factory or as a factory option · Integrated off-grid water filter (like from Blu Tech) But it's already a pretty great RV! #nerdherd
@EmberRecreationalVehicles I'm glad to see that Ember continues to seek out customer (and potential customers') feedback. While I have your attention, I want to emphasize one of the "Other things I think would be great" because it's an easy, low-cost addition, but a very important one...specifically, 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs. Many high draw electronics (like laptops, CPAP machines, or any electronic that comes with an in-line "brick" on the 110v charging cord) can be changed with automobile charging cords (that plug into the "cigarette lighter" barrel-style plugs) and don't need a full 110v change via the inverter. Instead, they need between the 5 volt maximum of a USB charging plug and the full 12 volts from the "cigarette lighter" outlet. So a few additional 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs by the bed, by the sofa(s) and in the bathroom, would be very useful, low-cost additions. What RV mfgs need to realize on these "MAX Solar" setups is having an inverter is both nice and necessary, but the more things you can do WITHOUT engaging the invertor, the better your battery usage will be. People/mfgs need to think of inverters like generators, there are times when you need them, but you should use them as little as possible. Just running your invertor (with no appliance draw) will slowly drain your battery…and inverters just being turned on draw more power than many small charging devices. Since RV refrigerators are now more often 12v, most of the time you don't even need to engage your invertor. And some appliances, like portable C-PAP machines, don't draw enough consistent power to engage a 2000-3000 watt invertor if that's the only thing drawing on it at night, which is why a few additional 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs by the bed, by the sofa(s) and in the bathroom, would be very useful, low-cost additions.
Square sink. Love the bunks. Go ahead and give us the full height rear door. I have tall stuff. Would like a front right window. But definitely want a front window in the slide out. I am tempted to ask for a King as they have so much road mode clearance.
Thank you Josh for referencing this video to my last comment and this is more what I was looking for for all the way around because like I told you before it would just be me and my daughter and then me most of the time by myself and I have an F-150 with the tow package is just over 7000 lbs. And I would just like to point out I get the $20,000 extra. For everyone else that is out there saying they don't get it if you've ever done primitive camping you will know camping trailers can't go out to a lot of those sites an order to do a lot more of those type of campsites you would need the axle setting just like what this trailer has to get out there. And the reason I know this is because I have had family members with small trailers trying to get out there and it either tore the bottom of the axles that or their stuff was just strolled all over the place they're really just not made for this back roads to wear the suspension on these type of trailers are so that is a big part of the cost and I get that. And if you guys really think about it and if you were to upgrade your individual pickup truck or vehicle to go out and do stuff like that just go and check the prices what you would have to do to upgrade those vehicles to go out there like that it's not cheap.
I always love to see Embers. I am glad they upgraded to 800 watts. We are getting closer to my ideal. I would prefer the square sink as well, but it isn't going to be a decision maker. I am glad to see they switched out the slide system. I am still leaning towards the no slide option, but this is a good option. I would prefer if there were free floating tables and spot to slide them away into.
@@JoshtheRVNerdJosh, my wife and I will be back in my home state in a few weeks…love us some Mitten. What’s a good way to reach you when we get there? I’d be traveling from Flint and wanted to come down to Coldwater to pick your brain on our impending purchase of a travel trailer. Thank you for all your vids. Have a great day
The steps on this camper are solid and sturdy, unlike most. I noticed this because I just broke my ankle and currently can not get in our camper. Will probably replace our current steps with this kind or a wooden deck with steps.
Josh, did you notice if the remote for the A/C is rechargeable (charging in its cradle)? Or is it more of a "Honey I’ll be back in an hour, I gotta run into town to get batteries so we can run the A/C." Kind of thing? Thanks for all the effort you put into this channel!
Like this. The removal bucks are cool. I would use that back Coner as a office. Love that huge door to put stuff. The kitchen is nice. Wish it had a oven. Like all of the bedroom storage. Like the sofa. The bathroom is nice. I would get max solor page. Love the off road runnig gear. Love these campers! Thank you josh!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! This remains at the top of my list of desirable RVs. Perfect? No. But it checks so many boxes and the bunk system is top notch! My one concern is I have seen a number videos and comments regarding leaks. Have they addressed this?
Looking forward to replacing our first camper with an Ember. I really wish they could find a way to get another campside window by the bed on any floorplan. Stargazer is cool, but having opposing-side windows cracked on a rainy day is clutch.
I would actually really be interested in a discussion about that Truma a/c. Every company that uses it touts how efficient it is and how it can run off the batteries. Every company that doesn't says "oh but it only lasts a little bit so it's not really worth it." Is that unit really as efficient as they say?
Definitely in my wheelhouse for layout, but I need to really dive into the reason why it's 20 grand more than the Rockwood/Flaggstaff equivalent layout. From what I've seen, the bunk mattresses are cheap, the Murphy sofa doesn't have recline feature and less counter space in kitchen, even though I'm a fan of the 2 burner stove(which helps). Where is that extra 20 grand going? 👍 your reviews.
On Josh’s factory tour VIDEO, he dives into many of the differences between this Ember build and more conventional RV builds such as specialty tube-steel frame, independent trailing arm suspension, fully composite floors, walls, and rooftop, solar power system including massive LiFePO4 battery, and much more. This trailer is off road and off grid ready from the factory!
Would you recommend the Furrion Chill Cube or the Truma Aventa? Wondering if we should order a 2025 221MSL with the Chill Cube, or a 2024 with the Aventa that’s sitting on our local dealer’s lot. Thanks!
Love the Murphy bed you don’t have to Murphy, lol Some models I looked at , you can’t close the slide with bed down. Love everything but the price, lol, and need theater seat.
Basic roof maintenance is required on all RVs, even if it’s just visual inspections to be sure nothing has changed or been damaged. We use self leveling compound to fight back against the worst that Mother Nature dishes out to us.
Ember's got great ingenuity and innovation Josh.. However, at $59k MSRP is just bonkers, pie in the sky type stuff. Vast majority of your subscribers can't afford this. Make some trailers with adjustable bunks, and rear door access at $25k.. Then I'll get serious about upgrading. Until then, my 2017 Forrest River Grey Wolf continues to get the job done!
They could get the pricing down but you’d end up with the same conventional design usually found. Things like the full composite body, custom chassis, suspension, etc would have to be sacrificed
Off topic, but I would like to see a video on full-time rving what warranties look like and what manufacturers Define as full-time rving as opposed to living in an RV full-time. And I know that is a huge ask and a huge topic
Very nice but . . . Shower head room is a deal breaker. Of course, that's why we moved to a fifth wheel, and tested the shower heights in several (some weren't any better than this trailer).
We are still searching for a new design to work in that instance. We DO have families that turn the bunk area into a triple stack bunk, with one mattress on the floor level.
Thank you for the 95% correctness comment. For a small trailer (26’ total, 22.5’ box size), what CCC are you looking for? Please remember that price is only an issue in the absence of value - and there’s a lot of value to the special suspension, European windows, and amazing Max Solar package included here!
It's literally 20 grand more than similar layouts with more counter space and better bunk mattresses You're talking Lance RV territory Prices. I get the unique cool features and upgraded suspension, but 20 grand more is hard to justify.
@@jshoota19ify we’re unsure which other trailer with fully laminated composite walls/rooftop and specialty composite floor, a tubular steel chassis, European windows, Truma appliances, off road suspension and off grid package you’re referring to… but we know that in RVs, you get what you pay for!
Awesome flexible floorplan👍but I was a little disappointed to see a tiny two burner cooktop with no oven and a cheap jackknife sofa in a $74,000 MSRP Ember😢
Have you PRICED Solar and Li-Ion battery systems? Most minimal systems start at over $20k, this is not a minimal solar installation. If the price still sounds too high, the “Max Solar” package is an optional add on. 😊
@Erin-Thor,No, I understand that! And I'm all about being off grid,so this camper is perfect for what I'm looking for. That still doesn't mean I have to like the price...🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣
@@lymanmayhew935- I’m with you! And with their intentionally under capacity propane capacity, and on the Max Solar option… an electric cooktop would just make sense.
I'm hoping this might mean a debut video of a Touring 28MSL......because anyone who knows me knows I would NEVER buy a trailer without seeing it in person or at least seeing a video tour..... We're expecting ours in a few weeks 😆
@joshthervnerd coming back after seeing a few videos of problems with the Ember's. Now I am getting nervous of buying one. Are you seeing units with Water leakage and problems?
We're planning on full timing in a fifth wheel in about 4 or 5 years. I'm hoping that Ember has both moved into the fifth wheel Market and hopefully they have that storage bunk whatever area available in those fifth wheels that would be awesome
@@JoshtheRVNerd crap, already moved on off those units to Furion....my Furion Chill is so loud I can't be on a zoom call. BTW Josh, i am a customer of Bish's from Longview location, i checked with them and found out Bish's can transfer inventory to other stores...that is going to be helpful when we migrate out of our Jayco Jay Feather Micro 171BH
The Truma Aventa AC is considered a quiet AC and is certainly much quieter than the majority of AC models on the market today. For the 2025 model year, Overland Series models come with the brand new Furrion Chill Cube 18k BTU AC, which has fantastic cooling efficiency, great power management, and the quietest operation we've tested so far.
@@pedalwithus Please note that the Furrion "Chill Cube" is very different than the standard Furrion "Chill" AC. The "Chill Cube" is new as of fall 2023 and very quiet!
Love what Ember is doing but I think they're pricing themselves out for most buyers. For me, I'd buy a NoBo or Ibex which offers the same awesome suspension. Suggestion to Ember is consider a version of this with no slide, dinette or bar on the camp side, kitchen where the slide is now. Make the enormous solar package optional. That would help bring down weight and price and probably increase CCC.
There are SO many aspects of build quality in the Ember over the Nobo or Ibex. The way the body is built, the windows, Truma systems and much more. As with so many things you truly do get what you pay for.
Kick the slide and toss in a queen and we got a winner! And isn't a mother inlaw suit and a dog kennel the same thing 🤔 It's a nice rig for the right person. Way more right than wrong. To be honest the things I don't like are offset by people that will find it useful. It seems like it's going to be a family rig that looks the look but will only see a full service park. Kinda like a bling F250. And yeah, it's Burning Man safe 😅
The truma air conditioner is way overrated. I had it in my Micro Minnie FLX. It has some challenges. For one, while it’s quiet, it runs constantly. It doesn’t cycle on and off as it reaches your set temperature. Some people prefer this, but I do not. And in my experience, it’s not as efficient as touted. The filters don’t do much, and are annoying and flimsy to clean and reinstall. The plenum is over engineered and is difficult to service. It could be a nice unit if it were ducted. The plenum also collects mold like crazy and is very difficult to clean. At least, that’s the case where I live in Florida. The irony is that some of the larger rv air conditioner manufacturers are from countries that don’t even use air conditioners (truma from Germany, dometic from Sweden). That said, the dometic a/c in my new camper is excellent, quieter, ducted, residential style filter, cycles on and off as you’d expect, and is more efficient (1200 watts) than my truma was (1500 watts).
Any idea why they used the worst slide system in the RV industry? I know that it is the lightest and saved weight. But that slide system is a deal breaker!
Why do you think the Exact-Slide from BAL is the worst? It’s being used on high-end motorhomes and luxury fifth wheels… and Ember. It’s lightweight, uses smart controller technology for correct tracking in and out, and is fully usable in the travel mode (slide room in) position. Maybe you have this confused with a different system?
A supposed “premium” trailer with a cable slide system? 🤦♂️ Probably the first indication of things to come once that trailer leaves the lot. 😬 I was very exited about these Embers, went and had a serious look at the 191 MDB. After returning home and looking up customer reviews and their experiences with Embers customer service,my heart sank and I quickly kiboshed the idea of getting one. The price too was ridiculously prohibitive ,way to much money for potentially a load of headaches.
We’re sorry to hear that people’s complaints online tainted your viewpoint. Our company has taken great efforts to resolve issues and make improvements over time. The slide system used here, called Exact Slide, is a premium slide system being used in luxury motorhomes and fifth wheels.
It’s xact slide which is preferred by a lot of folks. Rack and pinion isn’t possible with the suspension design as it turns out But there’s nothing wrong with not liking the cable slide though. Always purchase according to your confidence level
I wish the RV industry would divorce itself from the Murphy Beds. Some great models are ruined with them. As a couples camper it would need theater seating
Why is a permanent ladder (with a lower weight capacity) more preferable than our standard telescoping roof ladder with specialty bracket installed on the rear?
@@EmberRecreationalVehicles I presume the standard permanent ladder capacity should hold me. Are you saying permenant ladders are not safe? A 300 lb person likely should not be climbing on the roof anyhow. There is already enough stuff to worry about RVing. Packing/unpacking/raising and lowering the ladder is a pain. And if I leave it up for convenience, will it get stolen? Upon leaving camp, I would prefer to easily take a quick climb up to see if any branches and stuff have fallen on the top. Plus a quick visual inspection is not a bad thing. So, in summary, why make life more complex and difficult when one is trying to relax. And since you asked, I would love to see some general re-engineering of RVs and Ember has done some pretty innovative stuff. Have you considered something that might improve everyone's experience by installing a mini-split ac/heat on the outside (for example in front or on the back just below the roof? These units provide both cooling and heat and are quite efficient. They are easy to plumb with one or more zones and are very quiet. Plus, they can be easily serviced anywhere. The routing could be done through a RV long cornice or small conduit down the centerline of the trailer. And I presume if the mini-splits are not rugged enough, Mr. Cool or Fujitsu or other companies would be happy to partner with you to ruggedize those units for travel given the RV volumes. An no more sliced off air conditioners by the 11' 8" bridge and other such locations and tree branches. And if you got this far, thanks for listening!
😍 Love these! I just wish they would adapt that front cap that limits the propane size. Whomever came up with that deserves a job in fast food. They made an RV ideal for boondocking and gave it very limited propane capacity. I’m curious if they offer an electric induction cook top yet? And Yup-Yup, that bedspread is very ugly. Reminds me of my late wife and I looking at a house that was just as fugly (FreakingUgly) as it gets. Kitchen was a sickening pepto-bismol pink, the hallways had lime green and dark brown orange walls, the carpet everywhere was a weird purple-ish blue. But the rooms were large, beautiful spacious layout, I saw the potential and knew some paint and a little TLC would make it an amazing home. The price was over $50k under what it had sold for a few years ago, while everything in the neighborhood had gone way up (Over a $100k less than comps), so I thought DEAL! 💙❤ But my wife hated it, fought me tooth and nail, just livid at the thought that I would buy that ugly house. Ahh the memories. 🥸
@@JoshtheRVNerd - The small 20 pounders are the second most expensive propane per gallon you can get save those small camp stove types. Why they LIMIT customers with that blows my mind. 🤯😢

Would like a front right window. But definitely want a front window in the slide out. I am tempted to ask for a King as they have so much road mode clearance.
Ty Sam
To me that would be great for boondocking, this thing is a frick!!! Thanks Josh for showing this one!!
We love this floor plan! Massively customizable and flexible for every campers' needs!
And yes to the sink comment I do prefer a square sink but around sink is doable
Thank you for your comments!
Thank you for your comments and interest!
Their max solar package is also getting expanded soon
@@JoshtheRVNerdJosh, my wife and I will be back in my home state in a few weeks…love us some Mitten. What’s a good way to reach you when we get there? I’d be traveling from Flint and wanted to come down to Coldwater to pick your brain on our impending purchase of a travel trailer. Thank you for all your vids. Have a great day
Ember continues to impress.
Thank you!
Dog show people need to check this trailer out.
Absolutely
Happy Sunday, Josh. Love this floorplan, just missing a fireplace for me. I really like the Ember line!
Thank you for your interest! Fireplaces use a lot of electricity off grid, so we haven’t put them in the Overland Series models!
Thanks! Have a great day!
I really like this model even though I’m not a huge fan of no propane oven and the dangerous telescopic ladder
The flex functions are hard to beat
The steps on this camper are solid and sturdy, unlike most. I noticed this because I just broke my ankle and currently can not get in our camper. Will probably replace our current steps with this kind or a wooden deck with steps.
The steps are very stable! We hope you recover quickly and can go camping again soon!
Thanks much. I miss camping.@@EmberRecreationalVehicles
Oh wow.. ouch.. hope you’re recovering well
Thanks for making these videos, Josh! Appreciate the early bird preview!
You bet!
Josh, did you notice if the remote for the A/C is rechargeable (charging in its cradle)? Or is it more of a "Honey I’ll be back in an hour, I gotta run into town to get batteries so we can run the A/C." Kind of thing? Thanks for all the effort you put into this channel!
I think it’s battery type
old school double bowl preferred. We have a "farm" sink in our ORV and hate it. Finally someone put a screen on a cargo door, nice!
👍🏻

If you watch dates most of that relates to launch units from 2022
Our internal data on overland and touring models is strong over the past year
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks as always!
Josh, how did I miss this video, I thought I had seen every one of your videos at least twice, lol
🤷🏻♂️
We think this one is unmissable!
LOVE IT!!!!!!! Do they have something similar but Tacoma friendly??
Try this m.ruclips.net/video/ev6q8CfcsuM/видео.html
Rectangle sink+propane oven and shelf for microwave no factory installed microwave. Just 20 amp plug 115 voltage.
👍🏻
Looking forward to replacing our first camper with an Ember.
I really wish they could find a way to get another campside window by the bed on any floorplan. Stargazer is cool, but having opposing-side windows cracked on a rainy day is clutch.
Thx Nerd! TV location is a total buzz kill.
I get it
Prefer the square kitchen sink, thank you.
Me too but a single one no doubles. Takes up too much counter.
I agree. Put the round or oval sink in the bathroom and the square sink in the kitchen please.
Good to know ty
Prefer a square or rectangle single kitchen sink.
I would actually really be interested in a discussion about that Truma a/c. Every company that uses it touts how efficient it is and how it can run off the batteries. Every company that doesn't says "oh but it only lasts a little bit so it's not really worth it." Is that unit really as efficient as they say?
Better than standard units but it’s still a high draw appliance
Definitely in my wheelhouse for layout, but I need to really dive into the reason why it's 20 grand more than the Rockwood/Flaggstaff equivalent layout. From what I've seen, the bunk mattresses are cheap, the Murphy sofa doesn't have recline feature and less counter space in kitchen, even though I'm a fan of the 2 burner stove(which helps). Where is that extra 20 grand going? 👍 your reviews.
I have a factory tour that may help you understand more of what’s under the skin
@JoshtheRVNerd haha! I wish I can be there. I live in Cali.
Thanks!
Question about this compared to the 191MSL: is the MSL part of the trailer the same on both? Or does the 221 has a larger MSL section?
Same
Same size area!
Love the Murphy bed you don’t have to Murphy, lol Some models I looked at , you can’t close the slide with bed down. Love everything but the price, lol, and need theater seat.
Yeah having choices is nice
In the roof shot I saw the white seals around the bathroom sky light. Does that need yearly maintenance?
Basic roof maintenance is required on all RVs, even if it’s just visual inspections to be sure nothing has changed or been damaged. We use self leveling compound to fight back against the worst that Mother Nature dishes out to us.
Yeah all rvs require some basic upkeep. Some more/less than others
I love this trailer ….. do you have one in your Texas store
I don’t think we have those at that store but we can one from our Michigan store without you incurring extra shipping costs vs a local store
Great work as always Josh.
We agree 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks again!
We haven't used a round sink, so we can't say which one is better. Love the Embers. Only 6 numbers away from buying one. 😊
Hahaha
Ember's got great ingenuity and innovation Josh.. However, at $59k MSRP is just bonkers, pie in the sky type stuff.
Vast majority of your subscribers can't afford this. Make some trailers with adjustable bunks, and rear door access at $25k.. Then I'll get serious about upgrading.
Until then, my 2017 Forrest River Grey Wolf continues to get the job done!
They could get the pricing down but you’d end up with the same conventional design usually found. Things like the full composite body, custom chassis, suspension, etc would have to be sacrificed
What is the model like this in the touring series?
Closest would be the 24msl
The new Touring Edition 24MSL includes a similar EmberTrack system shown in the rear of the Overland 221MSL.
@@EmberRecreationalVehiclesthank you!
hiya!-Josh. beautiful shots, ✨
Hey, thanks!
Off topic, but I would like to see a video on full-time rving what warranties look like and what manufacturers Define as full-time rving as opposed to living in an RV full-time. And I know that is a huge ask and a huge topic
I actually have that exact video here m.ruclips.net/video/rCwg6QfTy-E/видео.html
@@JoshtheRVNerd how did I miss that? Awesome
With slide in can you get to the fridge / freezer?
Yes! This has great “travel mode” access!
Yes - as displayed during the road mode chapter of this video
Josh, must have missed it. I will review the video
Very nice but . . . Shower head room is a deal breaker. Of course, that's why we moved to a fifth wheel, and tested the shower heights in several (some weren't any better than this trailer).
Yeah a lot of fw showers aren’t great because they can only make it so tall
What happened with Ember's rooftop tent? You made a great video about it but I don't see it as an option on their website.
The supplier stopped offering it RIGHT after ember started using it
@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks, I've got three kids and the MSL and tent seemed like the perfect answer...back to the drawing board.
We are still searching for a new design to work in that instance. We DO have families that turn the bunk area into a triple stack bunk, with one mattress on the floor level.
@EmberRecreationalVehicles Thank you for the response. Hope you guys find something, we loved the idea.
Finally a complete Rv trailer that’s 95% set up correctly for shtf. Cargo capacity a tad low and on sale for $60,000👎🏻
True, perfect except you MUST use only the smallest most expensive 20 pound propane tanks.
It’s just another overpriced travel junk pile.
All our pots, pans, bowels and plates are round.
So the round sink works well for us!
👍🏻 ty
The square sink would definitely be a plus.
Ty
Awesome flexible floorplan👍but I was a little disappointed to see a tiny two burner cooktop with no oven and a cheap jackknife sofa in a $74,000 MSRP Ember😢
No physical ability to put a larger sofa in this model due to the way the slide and suspension interact as it turns out
If that door was 36" wide and 60" tall, so I could fit my Kawasaki KLR600...perfection.
Yeah they kinda lacked the CCC for that on these which is where the 240tkr comes in. But I totally get what you’re saying
Thank you for your input! We appreciate the feedback!
@@EmberRecreationalVehicleshave you guys considered a unit like the TKR in the Touring model
@@user-ktm890rider what would you like to see?
I prefer a deep and square/rectangular kitchen SS sink with a tall pullout faucet.
Ty. Helpful
Bummed, want to really like this but the CCC is too low to be a contender 😢
How much would you prefer?
I think 2,500 should be the baseline to allow the addition of solar, bikes and other toys and still have a comfortable margin within cargo capacity.
Josh I love ya man. Can you tell me if Ember stop building the 170MRB model and if so are they going to have a model to replace it? Taco driver here!
I am not sure.. I haven’t scoped their lineup in a bit. It may be retired. Unsure
a tandem axle 👍
I may need to watch again, but these have a Kurt independent suspension, so no axels. 😊
This model IS tandem, but with independent suspension!
The round sink is perfect!
Ty
Love it, but not so in love with the price!😂😊
Are they using the Exact slide or the Accu slide?
I'm hoping this might mean a debut video of a Touring 28MSL......because anyone who knows me knows I would NEVER buy a trailer without seeing it in person or at least seeing a video tour.....
We're expecting ours in a few weeks 😆
Appreciate the videos! All I can see now is Steve!Lol!

I think they have dabbled with FW designs and have the production space for it. It’s on their radar at some point
Always listening to customer feedback…!
how loud is that AC? is it more quiet than a Furion ?
They have since changed to the furrion chill cube which is quiet
@@EmberRecreationalVehicles thank you, i 100% understand the difference for sure. I am ready to upgrade to Ember....just waiting on stock now
Love what Ember is doing but I think they're pricing themselves out for most buyers.
And isn't a mother inlaw suit and a dog kennel the same thing 🤔
It's a nice rig for the right person. Way more right than wrong. To be honest the things I don't like are offset by people that will find it useful. It seems like it's going to be a family rig that looks the look but will only see a full service park. Kinda like a bling F250.
And yeah, it's Burning Man safe 😅
That’s kinda where the 240tkr comes in
How come no genesis supreme rv toy hauler videos
Simply don’t encounter them in my usual haunts
Always a square sink.
👍🏻
The truma air conditioner is way overrated. I had it in my
Micro Minnie FLX.
I Always appreciate feedback from actual owners! This is great stuff. Ty

Great trailer. Love all the configuration options. Too heavy for our Highlander...booo.
That has about a 5,000lb limit, right?
Yeah, that's right
I bunked my head on the bunk, get it, lol
trust me
I do lol
Any idea why they used the worst slide system in the RV industry? I know that it is the lightest and saved weight. But that slide system is a deal breaker!
There are only two options for above floor executions in that area
They move away from Schwintek and went to xact slide
Why do you think the Exact-Slide from BAL is the worst? It’s being used on high-end motorhomes and luxury fifth wheels… and Ember. It’s lightweight, uses smart controller technology for correct tracking in and out, and is fully usable in the travel mode (slide room in) position. Maybe you have this confused with a different system?
A supposed “premium” trailer with a cable slide system? 🤦♂️
Probably the first indication of things to come once that trailer leaves the lot. 😬
I was very exited about these Embers, went and had a serious look at the 191 MDB.
@@EmberRecreationalVehicles: That’s great to hear👍
It’s xact slide which is preferred by a lot of folks. Rack and pinion isn’t possible with the suspension design as it turns out
But there’s nothing wrong with not liking the cable slide though. Always purchase according to your confidence level
Hmmm 🤔
Whatchya thinking?
🎉#NerdHerd
Ty!
I wish the RV industry would divorce itself from the Murphy Beds. Some great models are ruined with them. As a couples camper it would need theater seating
Theater seating would be awesome but not possible due to how the suspension bumps up into the body
So go buy a unit that doesn't have one, lots of us absolutely love the murphy bed and don't want theater seating.
Nerd, my friend. I'm sorry to say, this video sucked.
JUST KIDDING.
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO.
Lol
Pretty nice in general BUT...no permanent ladder, no consideration and no sale. Sorry Ember.
Why is a permanent ladder (with a lower weight capacity) more preferable than our standard telescoping roof ladder with specialty bracket installed on the rear?
Fair! Ty
@@EmberRecreationalVehicles Because it becomes something else to find a place to store while towing.
Buy an RV you can afford with everything you like and stop trying to cram all the big stuff in a little cheap RV.
With max solar it would be cool if they used the empty side of the gearbox for an extra lp tank
@@JoshtheRVNerd - The small 20 pounders are the second most expensive propane per gallon you can get save those small camp stove types. Why they LIMIT customers with that blows my mind. 🤯😢
