I love the fact that there is still enough room to move around and use everything with the slide in. We're mainly interested in "no slide" trailers, but I'd still put this one on the list. The counter space for a messy cook like me is fantastic as well. Thanks for showing this one!
Hi from Mexico. Very nice RV. The skylight in the sleeping area is cool 🙂 The light colors, design, and plushness of the seating is all pleasing to the eye + one's lifestyle within it! I love the fact solar is included, not just prewired. The shades are cool!! The fact that you can open them up to whatever degree you want, and they're not those cheap nasty roller blinds, where at night people from the outside can see in through the gaps...there are no gaps with this style shade! The kitchen is fantastic!!!! I live in Mexico, and I wish my place (a regular apartment) had a kitchen half this nice!!!!!!!! I love the look of the brick tile on the walls of the kitchen! The TV is 12 volt!! Wow!!! Fridge and stove and the entire kitchen is totally beautiful!!!! Am i repeating myself?? haha!! Tall shower is great!!!!!! the handles on the shower are fab!! The cabinetry in the WC is beatiful! This trailer has high end features, one doesn't normally see in other models. Also, what about security?? What's to stop some F*(*&R from backing up to it and hauling it away?? That's my 10 cents worth! i'm an X RV owner, used it out of necessity while building a place a while ago. RV's have improved quite a bit, these videos are fun to watch! thanks!! p.s. re: pricing, after doing an internet search, i found one dealer offering it for around $50,000. If i come into some money, i'll probably buy one!..it's all one really needs, and very well done!! 😉 I just added this video to our playlist; 1st class living
The only problem I ever encountered while living in an RV (i had a nice 5th wheel), was the unit was in the country, and some mice got into it. And i'd hear them running around above my head at night, in the walls. So annoying. So my only advice to any RV manufacturer is for the money one is spending on these things...rodent proof them!! Make it impossible for mice, bugs, or whatever other critter to get into these! Because once they're in, it's super hard getting them out!!! I had a family of mice nesting in my RV, and i dk what happened to them as i ended up selling the unit.
at least to keep them out of the walls. I understand if one gets in with a door open etc.. but for 50K or whatever amount one spends..the walls should be proofed against critters
The good: color palette couch/sofa lagoon tables!! 😍 no carpet no valances on the windows shower size outdoor stove Suggestion: square the "entertainment center", raise it to countertop level, drop the tv behind on a televator. It would really open up a ton of prep space.
I love the fact that you can option out the camp kitchen and also option a U dinette. Out here in the west we do a lot of dry camping at state and national parks, a 2 way fridge option would be an additional plus for this beauty!
Love the layout. Love the Bed area and Murphy option. Love the living room. Love the road mode. Love the Lithium setup. Love the quality. If I had to be picky it should have a 42in TV and an off grid upgrade option with EZ start AC unit so you can run it off the inverter. Placing the fireplace higher and moving that storage location to under it would provide a place for shoes. That toilet paper holder should just be under the sink with that tight layout. I would buy this! Wow, Nice job Ember!
Love this. Design and functionality of murphy bed with storage all around and tables is a home run. Not all bendy beds are uncomfortable. Would like a taller front storage locker outside to fit 2 30lb propane tanks. 20lb tanks struggle in colder weather.
Love the engineering that went into Ember’s version of this floor plan. I think I heard you say that Ember either has or plans to build the same floor plan with a true queen bed (no bendy mattress). The dual pane windows are great for 3-season camping, and my wife loves the window trim look instead of valances and curtains. A few nitpicks though: 1) I can’t believe they use Thermofoil countertops in a “generational” travel trailer, 2) I agree with other viewers that a 2 or 3-way refrigerator is needed as an option. Overall, I like the idea of durable travel trailers.
That's a great looking camper with an awesome layout. The only thing that I would add is a privacy curtain for the bed. Other than that; great job Ember!
1. They should put a shelf in a couple of those overhead kitchen cabinets. 2.I'd like to see a stationary bed vs the Murphy style. Maybe have it optional. 3. They could get by without the slide as far as I'm concerned as well but i know thats for sanity purposes. 4. Most women lean in the bathroom & usually to the left. Please consider that when creating elbow room and toilet spacing. 5. Doors on the bathroom storage please. Otherwise this is a great rig going in the right direction.
I agree. Would add... Give 2 way frig option and more solar. I camp in state forest with no electric or hookups. Never ever in parks with hookups. So i need a fridg to last 2 weeks either using propane or.enough solar and lithium batts.
DUDE! This trailer is the BoMb!!🤪🤪🤪Ember is like the Mercedes Benz of trailers! Lol. I love this floor plan. My wife and I love this trailer. We don’t need a curtain for the bedroom cause it’s just us two. I love “road mode” also. I don’t need a super dooper gigantic fifth wheel trailer even though my cummins can pull it, I can get this and power through traffic, and park very easily. Pull into a supermarket parking lot and have lunch, use restroom, take a nap, or just take a rest! Love the super long “aircraft carrier” counter space! Lol. Josh, this is the one. Thank you for showing us this trailer! This is why I subscribe to your channel!🤙👍🤙👍
This is a delightful unit! Storage for two would/could be a problem for a couple? However, I do greatly admire it. If Ember would like to donate this unit for public display, the wife & I are ready to hit the road for public viewing. Good job Josh.
In our 18 foot trailer we have 3 of the European windows. Next time it starts to rain is one of the thing about the windows. They can open in the rain it’s amazing the sounds it makes with the rain hitting the windows and the smell of fresh rain . It’s amazing. As for the star gazing window nothing is better than laying and looking at the stars. No sure about the camp kitchen someone has to clean the grease off the RV. The bed mattress looks like it needs a bed topper. Great review my grade on this is “A” 👍👍
This is a wonderful trailer! The only editions I would make would be to add a door to the bathroom linen storage and also add additional outlets in the kitchen. With all the counter space, I would definitely be using more countertop appliances and therefore would appreciate a power tower or 2 preferably with this being a laminated trailer. Having outlets underneath the cabinet might be easier for the manufacturer but it is very difficult for the user since most countertop appliances have very short cords and it's difficult to reach under cabinet power outlets. Otherwise, it is nearly perfect.
Thanks for the tour. Like the skylight and love the attention to detail and wanting to make it generational. In our opinion, we would prefer the extended awning over the window, so good job. We also like the blind spot monitor. Also impressed with the propane tank cover /storage. Great job Ember! You too Josh.
So much that I love! All the cabinet space, counter space in the kitchen! Cubby for charging next to Murphy bed. Trays for Murphy bed. LOVE the window coverings! LOVE the triple sear sofa/recliner set-up. Love all the drawer space! Love that you can access frig, bathroom and bedroom with the slide in. I would suggest - cabinet doors on open shelf under TV and in bathroom. Change shower tile look to horizontal - not vertical - with built-in shower shelves for shampoo and soap. Go with a more traditional look flooring instead of herringbone flooring. Way too modern. Cover option for kitchen sinks that allow that to also be used as counter space. SUCH A COOL TRAILER!
This is a nice rig. I like the party couch. Like that there is an outdoor kitchen option. I just wish the bathroom was a bit bigger and that the cabinets had doors. I think having to put netting, etc..diy is tacky..especially on this price point. And a curtain around the bed...again...do not want to diy it. It would be nice to have a pantry and would really like more solar options....like overlander. Kinda like if this and the overlander had a baby. Would like a dinofa table. I do like the Euro windows and the whole Murphy bed set up. Thanks, Josh!!!
Absolutely a nice floorplan and specs. Although I get that there are limitations with RV size, etc., but more or bigger windows on the camp side would really be something I would need, personally, to consider this particular model. To be fair, though, we have pretty much decided on the GD Imagine 23LDE. I always watch this channel, though, in case I come across something that changes my mind.
I like it….a lot! One huge option I’d like to see would be the low profile Truma AC(like the Micro Minnie FLX). I also like and appreciate the lithium battery option……is adding more of them, additional solar panels and a larger inverter an option?
Josh, take a look at the 2004 Zeppelin Z181. Wife and I knew this was the ultimate "couples" shorty and bought one, still have it. This Ember brings it over the top in our opinion.
I could totally see that. I am GUESSING in an overland the suspension/wheel wells would prevent a true theater seat (similar to the 201FBQ) but I'm just guessing
the side tables are kinda big and in the way, but then again they are removable. Maybe make them smaller or fold down so there isn't more stuff to try to store somewhere. I would likely choose storage over the camp kitchen but also make sure that there was power and gas hookup available in that area in case i wanted to to turn that into a margarita station or customize my own food prep area. i love the storage area on the tongue of the trailer, thats a win.
I've been saving your vids of trailers that'll meet simultaneous needs of me/wifey. Park camping w/ her and off the grid, dry camp, cold weather, annual hunting trips (sometimes with her) - in 30' or less. I've got several saved that functionally meet the needs of both. I haven't saved an Ember, but the interiors seem really well designed...and what especially catches my eye is that the interior material choices and construction assembly appear a good level up from most other trailers. This gives the perception that it is of higher construction. Although hunt trails that I use are not terrible, they can be rough and in some spots bottom out the rear end of the trailer. Although I don't think you've said in past vids that these are good overland trailers, I do get that vibe looking at them. I think an Ember that short of 30' hitting the me/wifey points above, would be a serious contender for a lot of people. What do you think? What are some brands that fall in this space?
This is a great looking trailer, as are all Embers. Of course, their price matches the quality of work & products. For a couples camper, I don't see the need for a privacy curtain, but I realize some do & for those, they can DIY privacy. The kitchen alcove it awesome for the appliances you want to take & use but never have the room or the counter space. For me, it checks off most of my wants; Murphy bed, theater seats, kitchen counter space, fairly large bathroom & an outdoor kitchen. I guess I need to play the lottery so I can get this new model!! Thanks for the videos!! When you finally come to TX, make sure you come before the end of May or after September. Otherwise, it is a scorcher outside
Ember😍🥰! I am an Ember girl. When I was visiting family, in Indiana last November, I wanted to go to Bristol to see them. We will be moving out of WA and Ember is in the lead for our choice Rv. Just need to see one. Might go with this one while house is being built (in TN), then upgrade for holiday travels later. Floor plans are amazing and seem to be unique and very functional too. Thank you for sharing! (working on the husband as this is thē RV company).
I remember first encountering this floor plan at the Bish's in Davenport, and it was an East-West. VERY IMPRESSED. Not looking for a travel trailer, but I really liked what that floor plan provided in such a compact space. But seeing what Ember has done, I'm super impressed, especially with the 7' overall height. I would really like to see one of these in person. I'm putting this one on my short list. As for the awning, what they did was fine, no problem. Great job Uncle Josh! And great job Ember! These guys might just put everyone else out of business!
@@JoshtheRVNerd -- Speaking of Alta, they have a new travel trailer called the 1600 MRB which you need to review as soon as possible! Just 23' long and no slides! Amazing how much goodness they put into that little guy! Including a Murphy bed!
This is a gourmet kitchen on wheels. For someone who loves to cook!!!!, with a dash of entertainment, and sleep is the least important of them all. The trailer is a 10/10!!!!!! It's small cozy for one or two people no more. Perfect for a couple that loves to cook!! woohooo!!! ..or even a single person!!!! Most beautiful RV kitchen i've seen to date! I'm thinking is it a corian countertop??? (stone), and also the walls, are they plastic stone looking?? or real tiles??? Also, in the WC, it's the kitchen tile on a slant. I think they should remove it, put in something else, that totally distinguishes the WC as a WC, but keep it just as amazing looking as that beautiful kitchen! Maybe a high gloss aquamarine type mix on the walls of the shower?? But tastefully done, not tacky. Ok that's my ten cents worth... .thanks!!
I would love to try one of these Embers on like a pair of pants as I have heard you say. They are really intriguing to me. I really like the looks of these. The only thing I can think of of is an attached ladder so I could use a flagpole buddy to mount the Starlink base on. With everything these Embers have to offer (champagne budget) an attached ladder should probably be standard. Great video. Thanks Ember and Thanks Nerd!
Your videos have got me smitten with Ember...this one is great! I look at it tho and wonder if the rock guard is tall enough. I worry about tearing up that exposed area during travel. The flooring in the storage bay is my fave and the battery bunk as it were is attractive! I worry about the door opening into the awning bar but appreciate as much awning as possible. (i like the previous suggested power tower or additional power for appliances in the kitchen option.)
Wow, this is great at first look and Ember has obviously been listening to what the public want. Road mode access is Amazing and just what I've been looking for. They even made both sides of the bed accessible
I really wish they at least had bungees for the open cabinets in the bathroom. My sister has one that the open cabinets are over the toilet. Every time they traveled everything in the cabinets were on the floor when they got to their destination. There were times when her husband was last out and forgot to close the toilet lid so there was stuff in the toilet even though eventually the lid fell down.
Yes, you hit my interest when you talked of putting a U-dinette in the slide out since the Murphy sofa covers that base (one sofa is enough). I will be looking for a couple's camper for full timing and traveling all year long. I will look at this one. I like the great road-mode capability and the electric fireplace.
Love it... I would definitely opt for the permanent bed and that outdoor kitchen! Blindspot monitoring is a game changer 😊 Can't wait to see one in person! I am definitely becoming an Ember fan-boy...lol
I think I got ahead of myself on that one. This one _only_ offers the murphy bed. But thankfully you could just basically ignore the murphy function since the slide can close when the bed is down
Ditch the Murphy bed, add the Truma aqua go & truma vario heat ,add 1200 watt solar 1000 amp hr lithium and max inverter & I could see us being in the market
Josh, we saw you at the Boise ID show and I must say you look taller in person, LOL. Nice show and we found our new DP, Bish's had a Ventana 3407 at the show and it is perfect for the two of us. And the shower is out of this world large. If the market were a bit better, we would have pulled the trigger right there but hopefully later this year. Nice to see you and you were busy, so we did not interrupt. This is a really nice TT with a great floorplan.
I love this floorplan and Ember's execution of it! The stargazing window is the best feature, in my opinion. I also love the orange/ yellow accent lights opposed to the standard blue lights. It gives it a more relaxed feel. I love the THREE fully reclining seats in the slide out! I appreciate all of the little details that make this camper have all the feels I'm looking for. My only nit-pick would be that there is no window on the camp side bedroom wall. But, if I had to choose between the window and the awning, I'd choose the awning. Good call by Ember! Also, it seemed like the awning arm sticks out, kind of in the way. Is that true? I couldn't tell with it being in the closed position. A HUGE "Thank you!!!" to Ember for listening to what the consumers want and being so eager to please! Also, thank YOU, crazy uncle Josh, for being alert to what we want to see and following through! You are very much appreciated 😁
Love the euro style and light interior. TONS of storage! Windows seem small and not many…yes, I know there is a skylight. The *only* thing I don’t like is the narrow toilet area. My husband and I are not necessarily small people, and this could be uncomfortable. Road mode is amazing! Definitely worth considering.
That’s a really nice sofa/theater seat. Wonder if there’s any mattress toppers out there that’ll work with a bendy bed. Wouldn’t want to give up my memory foam. Betcha I could fit a 40” TV in there.
My wife and I liked almost everything about the 21RMK, would like to see them ad a privacy curtain. We would still seriously consider buying the 21RMK. Definitely like Murphy bed option and the lagoon style tables and theater seat. As far as the awning goes we like the longer awning the way it was done in the video.
And Ember does it again. When I saw the drawn layout I was not impressed, it's similar to the layout in every other trailer. Except, it isn't. First thing that caught my eye was the size of the kitchen. There is more counter space there than in my house! I am a huge fan of Lagun tables. I would like to see a table by the sofa, free floating, that I can use to do puzzles or other rainy day activities on. But, a U dinette solves that. I like the Euro windows, I love fresh air and that these can open when it's raining. It's kind of like Ember looks at every other RV out there, takes the best parts and puts them together in the best way. Josh, thanks for talking about tow weights, and what size vehicle can tow the trailers. I appreciate it. I wish more were SUV towable though!
The best kitchen Ember has had yet. Personally. I think if you are on a beer budget you must be doing very well. I think I am doing well with a Coke & iced tea (made at home)budget!🤣🤣
Thanks for finally showing the inside of the gear box on the Touring Edition floorplans. This is a nice floorplan, and I'm glad to see that the outdoor kitchen is an option...because with so much interior space devoted to kitchen/counterspace, I really think that the outdoor kitchen is redundant overkill. I also like that Ember is designing their murphy beds to clear the slide so that they can be used as full-time beds if you don't want/like the murphy option. I'm anxious to have the lagoon-style tables migrate over to the Overland Series models. Any word on a convection microwave oven option from Ember?
If I was looking for a full time RV I would choose this one. One thing I would request from RV manufactures is a fortified shower floor for my extra heavy body.
This is great, I love the interior design and those herringbone floors are excellent. similar with the Imagine 22MLE and the Jayco Jayfeather 21 MML and the Cougar 22MLS. I love this design, but I'm really disappointed in the camp side windows. Rear Bath seems fairly spacious, but I think all the ones I just mentioned above have both theater seats as well as camp side dinette option.
Something I've always wondered about that bath layout (since getting a 22MLE): could the MFGs cut the undersink counter back, with the front of the sink in a sort of 'balcony', to get some much-needed extra knee room? That--knee room--is really the only complaint I have with that bath layout.
Agree. Another good thing ember did is cut the doorway back behind the toilet which allows.one to keep.the door open and allows ability to spread knees into hall and or twist ones body to gain some room. Some other makers of this floorplan dont do that. Would need to check out in person.
This comment is exactly what I was thinking. As an extra fluffy person, that is my one complaint with my current trailer. Yes, elbow room, but not enough knee/leg room to the side. I even found an Ikea sink and cabinet that I would replace the Jayco one with. Yes, I lose storage, but I don't have to have the door open to complete my "ablutions". Thanks for the videos, Josh.
@@sssophiesmom I actually do that in my 22MLE, use the toilet with my knee sticking out of the bathroom...but I'm also the only occupant of the trailer. Even most couples would, I think, prefer to keep the toilet use more private, and certainly it wouldn't be practical with guests. I've thought of opening the door under the sink to try and gain a bit of knee room that way, but the door opens to the rear. I may dismount the door one of these days and see if it helps, dunno.
@@boskone agree. Like you i am the only occupant other than my 🐕. If you remove that door and it helps you might flip the door and attach on opposite side so opens the way you need. Always surprises me that they dont do a better job designing bathrooms to fit all sizes. I know that this next statement will put me in the minority, but I would prefer to eliminate the shower and better utilize that space which would free up more room for toilet space. I camp for 2 weeks without hookups so never use my shower. I simply use the showers at the campground.
I really like how this is setup. I am as you say a true slide skeptic and would love to see something from this company without a slide. I like how they put together the options and that they let everyone choose what they like and keep those choices and not force them to get stuff they don’t want. This is definitely a premium company and their products are great. I just want to see more than one product that doesn’t include a slide.
Great floor plan. LOVE the fact that you can access everything in travel mode. Would definitely option in a dinette (especially since the Murphy bed has a sofa). I'd also option in the camp kitchen. Wish where was a sink in it though. Someone else mentioned an option for an EZ start AC to be included with the solar pkg. Totally agree! Wish it had 30lb propane tanks. Great job, as always, on the review, Josh!
This is a very nice unit . I fell in love with surveyor legend I like the floor plan . But this would be an option too. Thank you ember for build longevity and quality units
I love this floor plan! One thing I didn't see was an outlet for a CPAP machine or just to charge your phone. I Also like that there is an option to make a frozen pizza in the oven.
I’m not a fan of the sofa being part of the Murphy Bed. We had one in a Rockwood Mini Lite. I would like to see a manufacturer make a “Murphy” table that would extend down from the bed when it is in the up position. Card table type chairs could be used for sitting or something else that is easy to store. Since manufactures are putting more privacy shades in the doors, I would like to see them put a screen door in where the screen actually pulls up/down and retracts like a roller window shade. This would allow you to get to the entry door where you can raise or lower the privacy shade without having to open up the screen door.
If I was in the market for bumper pull travel trailer, I would seriously consider this Ember. I am in the market for a less than 30 ft overall couple's 5th wheel. I really think Ember could sweep the small 5th wheel market.
I just saw the same layout at an RV show today. I gotta say that I am liking it. I'm find with the bathroom. The seating nice. And the storage and counterspace in the kitchen for this size of a camper is good rollin! I'd prefer just a bed over a Murphy bed. No reason for 2 couches. Probably use a different brand for style. Any price?
I like the floorplan. Colors are great. I'd like to have the lagoon table mounts on the couch as well. I personally don't like murphy beds. 12 volt fridge in outside kitchen
It looks generally well designed. Road-mode access is beautifully thought out. I'm waffling on whether I like the bed table design and think I would be more comfortable with a more conventional approach. I would like to see a compressor fridge option, especially since this is essentially a highway rig made for staying in RV parks. If I had the $$, yes, I would definitely consider it.
Thanks for the complete review. Ember is doing a lot of things to like. The tall ceiling is very nice. For a premium camper, I would rather have solid surface countertops. I wish that the TV mount were higher with a longer window.
We like everything about this one. It has more space for this couple compared to other couples campers. Josh you were talking about you having a mouth full, isn’t that normal for you 😂. Like the size of propane bottles, so if needed, you could go to a convent store & swap out your empty one for a full one, except there’s becoming a shortage down here☹️. Give Ember 👍👍👍👍👍
This is an impressive trailer overall but I think the bathroom needs some attention. Open shelving makes it difficult to store all of the miscellaneous toiletries, medical stuff, and cleaning supplies needed. Those shelves need doors. I wish the bathroom was also just a tad bigger but am not sure how that could be done on this size of trailer. I do also wonder about the bathroom door being directly opposite the stove and workspace in the kitchen. Seems like there could be a real bottleneck in that space especially considering the fridge is there as well. What is great is the total access to everything with the slide in. Love that! And the storage in the kitchen is great although a pantry would be nice.
Not a bad floorplan, but I'm a private bedroom person lol. Would live to see how they handle longer floorplans . My main interest is with the solar evolution going with their touring models.
Love love love this. Our favorite in this segment has always been the imagine 17mke but the bed being able to deploy for overnight rest stops is a huge plus. I do wish the tv was a little bigger but that's such a small nit pick honestly. I agree with other commentators, for cooler weather I would love to see dual 30 pound cans up front just in case. I think my only other gripe would be the steps, we really love grand design's fold out steps since they don't care if a campsite is a bit uneven and they don't get in the way during travel stops where the stable steps may not have the space to deploy, plus whatever they do makes those fold out steps still feel really solid. Everything else though; ceiling height, construction, kitchen space, an outside kitchen, nice sized awning, the solar and the possibility for multiple big lithiums for a long trip... Holy cowabunga, bat man! 100% would consider this so long as the price hovered within a few thousand of the 17mke. A chunk of price difference would still steer us away sadly.
@@JoshtheRVNerd We just got back from the Tampa RV show and seeing this one in person. We're totally sold now. It'll probably be 2024 before we pull the trigger so we hope there's a couple little changes by then. We really don't care for double bowl sinks in RVs and find a big single sink way more useful with dishes. And number two, unlikely but still, we prefer the folding steps to the stable steps. That most definitely wouldn't deter us from buying this one but still, that's the only two things we'd change and that's pretty incredible, nearly perfect!
Love this floorplan!!! And I really love what Ember is doing!! The only thing that would make this better for me is if it was available in the Overland Series with No Slide!! I have been requesting the Quad Wheel, No Slide, bigger version of the 170mrb and/or the 190mdb/msl Overland Series for some time now. But this would also be a great option to add in that category. Possibly the best option... Is Ember still planning on coming out with a No Slide, Quad Wheel version of the Overland Series??? I can't believe more people aren't asking for this. A true Overlander Series should have Quad Wheel Independent Suspension and NO SLIDE Please!!! 🙏🤞
@@JoshtheRVNerd I wish they would use more of a gray'ish interior like the IBEX.. the brown and light brown is just getting outdated.. now correct me if I'm wrong but you did say that the roof uses wooden trusses?
@@CdotForbes13 Most companies don't have a consistent development manager across the board Most have smaller teams under one banner that each do their own things
I love the floorplan, especially the fully usable road mode with the bed down and sofa slide in, the kitchen counter space, outdoor kitchen, amber glow lights and the light color finishes. I would like to suggest a few changes, however. I would like the kitchen counter to be all one level instead of dropping down under the tv. I would add electrical outlets to the left of the sink for coffeemaker, gaming systems, etc. I would prefer more storage instead of a fireplace (unless that is your main heat source then disregard). I would prefer a full time bed with storage underneath as opposed to the Murphy style but that’s not a deal breaker for me. Overall, this is the best, most user friendly floorplan I’ve seen in a couples unit. Nice job! Now, take my money, please. 😂
TY Beth. It does have a traditional furnace -- fireplace is not the sole heater. I've only seen that on some very specific and VERY ultra-budget focused models.
I love the fact that there is still enough room to move around and use everything with the slide in. We're mainly interested in "no slide" trailers, but I'd still put this one on the list. The counter space for a messy cook like me is fantastic as well. Thanks for showing this one!
I love the new box for the propane with the toolbox. I wish the other manufacturers would follow their totally obvious lead.

square the "entertainment center", raise it to countertop level, drop the tv behind on a televator. It would really open up a ton of prep space.
Thanks for sharing!!
I love the fact that you can option out the camp kitchen and also option a U dinette. Out here in the west we do a lot of dry camping at state and national parks, a 2 way fridge option would be an additional plus for this beauty!
Absolutely love it. The only change I'd make is a towel bar in the bathroom instead of those hooks.
Glad you like it!
Fair! ty
Could we get this floor plan in both types of Ember without the slide? There is plenty of room when it is closed.
Appreciate the points here. Ty
I agree. Would add... Give 2 way frig option and more solar. I camp in state forest with no electric or hookups. Never ever in parks with hookups. So i need a fridg to last 2 weeks either using propane or.enough solar and lithium batts.
Also make fireplace optional. Would prefer more storage. Also make same height as other counter.
Great review my grade on this is “A” 👍👍
I love the way Ember uses the C Channel multi position Coupler. I wish all travel trailer companies would follow suit.
Ty Rosemary. I agree with your points here
Thanks for the tour. Like the skylight and love the attention to detail and wanting to make it generational. In our opinion, we would prefer the extended awning over the window, so good job. We also like the blind spot monitor. Also impressed with the propane tank cover /storage. Great job Ember! You too Josh.
Thanks for sharing!
It’s a brand I find really, really fun
A king bed version, everything else is perfect ❣️😊
King Murphy! Yes
Although I get that there are limitations with RV size, etc., but more or bigger windows on the camp side
would really be something I would need, personally, to consider this particular model.
Factory can offer a 400w solar and 2k inverter package
They reserve Truma air and big solar for the overlands
@@JoshtheRVNerdWhat water heater are they using for this trailer? Tankless?
@@SaltyDog69 No. Traditional Gas/Elec
I love that model as is. It is perfect for week long camping trips.
This thing is awesome. I really liked it
Josh, take a look at the 2004 Zeppelin Z181. Wife and I knew this was the ultimate "couples" shorty and bought one, still have it. This Ember brings it over the top in our opinion.
For my wife and i this floorplan put in Overland line. Thank you for doing these its such a big help. Charlie from NC
I could totally see that. I am GUESSING in an overland the suspension/wheel wells would prevent a true theater seat (similar to the 201FBQ) but I'm just guessing
@@JoshtheRVNerd thanks Josh i spoke with Ember today they said no plans to put that floor plan in a Overland. Thank you so much Josh for what you do.
the side tables are kinda big and in the way, but then again they are removable.
That would be a good place for a frozen concoction center.
There are two series of ember rvs now
Overlands for getting off pavement
And tourings like this made for road use
Love the way you can see the T V without breaking your neck, this is also a great looking camper, love the floor plan,
Glad you like it!
LOVE the TV position. So many RV's have neck-wreckers!
👍🏻
Fair input on the curtain. Ty
Thanks!
Best one I've seen in awhile. Very nice.
Thanks Josh... awesome in Travel mode!!
Glad you liked it!
Yeah the Alta 1900MMK - another one I spoke highly of
Ember finds a way to take everything to the next level though
@@JoshtheRVNerd -- Speaking of Alta, they have a new travel trailer called the 1600 MRB which you need to review as soon as possible! Just 23' long and no slides! Amazing how much goodness they put into that little guy! Including a Murphy bed!
@@ronzack4572 I wish I had a chance to review more altas regularly. I'm happy to cover anything they make
very nice set up, has everything you need to get outdoors
You got that right!
Ok that's my ten cents worth... .thanks!!
This is a 1st class luxury RV!, just needs a few tiny changes to perfect it!
Countertop is actually just a pretty common thermofoil. It simply has a great look. TY for watching!
😱 wow! Ember continues to empress me! I don’t have much to ask…which is incredible! Wow!
High marks!!
Thx for watching
I absolutely LOVE the Euro windows and shades, and the stargazer window!
Top of my search list, right now. Beautiful.
Glad you like it!
Wow, this is great at first look and Ember has obviously been listening to what the public want. Road mode access is Amazing and just what I've been looking for. They even made both sides of the bed accessible
My wife also prefer a privacy curtain
I like when she doesn’t have one 😆
Love it enough to buy it when it comes out… awesome coverage Uncle
Ty so much!
But thankfully you could just basically ignore the murphy function since the slide can close when the bed is down
Good job Ember! Great video Josh. What a great floor plan. Love it.
Ditch the Murphy bed, add the Truma aqua go & truma vario heat ,add 1200 watt solar 1000 amp hr lithium and max inverter & I could see us being in the market
Ditch the slide too
Josh, we saw you at the Boise ID show and I must say you look taller in person, LOL.
Thanks for coming!!
And a big MY PLEASURE back to you 😊
Thank you Ember!
Ember making super cool stuff over and over. I wonder if they could do a non bendy bed if they lost the cabinet uppers?
Not sure..
Definitely “try it on for size” like a pair of pants if you get the chance
That’s a really nice sofa/theater seat. Wonder if there’s any mattress toppers out there that’ll work with a bendy bed. Wouldn’t want to give up my memory foam.
Betcha I could fit a 40” TV in there.
Not sure on the topper.. seems possible..
Ty!
Yeah their rigs are great but always heavy
The best kitchen Ember has had yet. Personally. I think if you are on a beer budget you must be doing very well. I think I am doing well with a Coke & iced tea (made at home)budget!🤣🤣
Great unit! Love the sky window above the bed. This would be something we'd consider in the future.
Thx for watching
I love the “toolbox”. I wonder how much of a knuckle buster it is to remove and replace a tank. That wouldn’t stop me though. I’d still love it.
That I don’t know but it’s a fair question for sure
Thanks for finally showing the inside of the gear box on the Touring Edition floorplans. This is a nice floorplan, and I'm glad to see that the outdoor kitchen is an option...because with so much interior space devoted to kitchen/counterspace, I really think that the outdoor kitchen is redundant overkill. I also like that Ember is designing their murphy beds to clear the slide so that they can be used as full-time beds if you don't want/like the murphy option. I'm anxious to have the lagoon-style tables migrate over to the Overland Series models. Any word on a convection microwave oven option from Ember?
Last I heard they were having a hard time finding a supplier for them
Beautiful, can leave bed down with a queen mattress.
Yep!
If I was looking for a full time RV I would choose this one. One thing I would request from RV manufactures is a fortified shower floor for my extra heavy body.
I don’t think They offer any other shower options as far as enclosures go but it may be possible to bulk up the support below
Would like to see a farm style sink. Didn't see outside speakers under the awning? Does it come with those little swing out tables for the recliners
No outside speakers on these and I think the little tables might be on these now. Haven’t seen one since they did a few updates
They do but usually this layout is a bit smaller than those. Ember just happens to be a tad larger than most
Man I like that fireplace
😊
Make this floor plan in the overland trim and make the sofa a pull out bed and I’m sold
👍🏻
The lay out is great . Love it.
I love this layout for sure
Something I've always wondered about that bath layout (since getting a 22MLE): could the MFGs cut the undersink counter back, with the front of the sink in a sort of 'balcony', to get some much-needed extra knee room?
That--knee room--is really the only complaint I have with that bath layout.
Hmm.. interesting idea
And adding a stainless sink in the bathroom would really set this unit apart. A classy unit except for the plastic trailer house type sink 🫤
Totally fair!!
I just saw one at the Detroit RV show - I love the floor plan!
That means you probably walked right by me. I'm here all weekend! :)
Fair enough. Ty
When do they start making this floorplan with the off road suspension??? Loving this layout!!
TY! That soft start on the air units is something that could be added btw as preferred.
There are outlets ahead of the closets on each side of the bed - both household and USB.
Look at 5:13
@@donaldbailey5576 thank you!
Nice rig, but the shock for me was placement of outdoor shower! Not in middle of outdoor leisure space.
Any price?
New model - not yet out so I don’t have any on the site to check but our teams can assist
I like the floorplan. Colors are great. I'd like to have the lagoon table mounts on the couch as well. I personally don't like murphy beds. 12 volt fridge in outside kitchen
Thanks for sharing!!
That is a 12V compressor fridge. They don't offer a gas/electric 2-way.
Thanks for the complete review. Ember is doing a lot of things to like. The tall ceiling is very nice. For a premium camper, I would rather have solid surface countertops. I wish that the TV mount were higher with a longer window.
Thanks for watching!
Love you work and personality priceless
Oh thank you!
Thx James! Great layout
Good input and feedback. Ty
Yeah embers are a bit restrictive when it comes to price point
@@JoshtheRVNerd We just got back from the Tampa RV show and seeing this one in person. We're totally sold now. It'll probably be 2024 before we pull the trigger so we hope there's a couple little changes by then. We really don't care for double bowl sinks in RVs and find a big single sink way more useful with dishes. And number two, unlikely but still, we prefer the folding steps to the stable steps. That most definitely wouldn't deter us from buying this one but still, that's the only two things we'd change and that's pretty incredible, nearly perfect!
@@samebert4344 I hope you got to meet some of the Ember team down there. Great people!
Really like you can get a regular bed. Maybe the only one I have heard of with this floor plan.

Josh good job.
Could you put a Rotisserie air fryer in replace of the stove?
Not from the factory to my knowledge but I’ve seen mfgs doing that
I still not sure about these touring ember. I don't like the bendy beds but I do like that I could leave in in bed mode and get a me a mattress
What about color options can we get the 21MRK in Solid Black or a Dark Silver?
No color swaptions offered quite yet
I wish all rvs had those great windows
I really like them
Nice trailer
They’re still developing both series pretty actively
i would love to see this floorplan in the overland series
👍🏻 I would too
Really Like the layout. Would like to see a small fold up table for the times that the bed is down and someone wants to eat.
Not a bad idea
@@JoshtheRVNerd I wish they would use more of a gray'ish interior like the IBEX.. the brown and light brown is just getting outdated.. now correct me if I'm wrong but you did say that the roof uses wooden trusses?
@@Bronco2Cj Wood trusses on the tourings, yes
Overland is fully laminated, aluminum/composite
my favorite thing that Ember does is the skylight above the bed, I wish more manufacturers did them
Some coachmen’s have started
@@JoshtheRVNerd why particular models?

I would like all same kitchen counter height too. Also cabinet door for space under TV and cabinet doors in bathroom too - instead of open shelving.
@@debraewing2859 I believe they actually did that -- change the counter to one level after their initial run here
